Lonny Baxter Mini-Interview
By InsideHoops.com
Lonny Baxter is a Chicago Bulls rookie. InsideHoops.com
chatted with him for a minute to see how things were going.
InsideHoops.com: Talk about the biggest changes from college to NBA ball.
Lonny Baxter: It's definitely a different level. We've already played what, thirty
games so far, in college you'd be done by now. Right now we're just getting started.
So, that's already a big change, just getting used to the life, traveling all
the time, being on the road maybe four or five days at a time. That's definitely
been the biggest thing.
InsideHoops.com: Is it more about getting used to being physically improved and
ready, or is it more of an emotional thing, being focused...
Lonny Baxter: Emotionally focused. I mean, once you get yourself up and going,
you're fine. Some days it's just hard to do that, but you just have to bring it
from within and come out and be ready to play.
InsideHoops.com: What are you best at, as far as your own personal skills go?
Lonny Baxter: Just hard work. I just try to come in and pick up the slack wherever
we're lacking, just come in and hustle, make all the hustle plays, and do the
best I can.
InsideHoops.com: When this team is enjoying some wins, what real differences do
you notice?
Lonny Baxter: We play better when we play as a team. When guys get open shots,
we move the ball, that's definitely when we play out best basketball. When we
get out and run, we're a young, athletic team, we can run, when we do that, that's
when we're really great.
