And yet Boston still made 14 3s per game shooting 33.8% as a team in the finals. Kobe shot 32.9% from 3 for his career.

OP getting obliterated in this thread. This is why you can't analyze basketball from spreadsheets and an idealized view of past players/teams.

Not only that but the style of player has changed. We have people bringing up Myles Turner, JJJ, and Bam. Two guys who aren't even good in the post skill wise, and one of which is undersized comparatively. It's a different world trying to guard an elite 7ft post player in general, much less with an undersized defender, and even more less with a...

That had to be one of the worst TE weeks of all time. :lol
And a pretty shitty week from WRs too.
Glad I did draft Kupp in 1 of my other big money leagues. He fell to the 4th and I felt obligated to take him. I still don't trust he'll stay healthy but hopefully he can carry me early.

What was the historical record for Dwight before joining Kobe? Multiple DPOYs and 5 straight seasons voted top 5 for MVP.
Dwight was the true MVP in 2011, and only 27 when he joined Kobe 2 years later, unlike Jamison who was 33 when he joined LeBron, 2 years after the year you referenced.
If Kobe fits with everyone, why were the 2013...

Caleb really is in probably the best scenario a #1 quarterback has ever been in. Saw a lot of growing pains yesterday, and definitely some good stuff, but they still won. Can't say that in most cases.

I would say he was positive influence overall, but probably too hardcore. The dress code for example was ridiculous.

Completely agree. He made the NBA the global brand that it is today. For example, IIRC the sport was in its' lowest point, and the finals were not even televised live. He was a great businessman, definitely.

You just can't release a bunch of primitive people with IQs that are considered mental disability by civilized nations, into the middle of the US and not expect sheet to go south. If we need more blacks, get them from Nigeria or the Dominican Republic. These people will cause absolute chaos on communities.
They are going through people's...

Like a lot of small guards back then his career was pretty short. He was a rookie at 21 and washed at 31.
Dynamic taking it to the basket. Didn't shoot 3s much but was a very good foul shooter so i suspect he could have shot 3s well if he focused on it. Even without 3s his scoring efficiency was very good for that time.

That's my list as well. I often go back and forth between including Embiid in the superstar list or not.

Have you considered there might have been unique conditions in the 2020-2021 us economy that would have driven demand upwards to support the rise in production value? Maybe several rounds of stimulus injected into the economy. Something like that?

Those aren't rules changes, and there was freedom of movement 10 years ago. There just weren't as many shooters.
Thanks to Steph's popularity far more guys come into the league willing and able to shoot 3s compared to back then.

Jokic, Luka and Giannis are the only current superstars
KD, LeBron and Curry are superstars in terms of box office but they're all past their primes so I don't consider them superstar level anymore either

Actually it does show how much teams have improved, and Boston dominated. No chance that Lakers team could be at Boston.
If you think otherwise then please share the rules changes that dramatically improved offensive efficiency league wide.
Some of the increased scoring is due to pace which won't show up in ortg.

From talking about nacho cheese Doritos as her snack of choice to washing collard greens in the bathtub, Harris is aiming to connect with voters on a more personal level. While learning that she likes to munch tortilla chips at snack time likely isn't enough on its own to sway anyone to vote for her, the small — and sometimes amusing — details...
