Kareem's record for most points scored stood for 39 years until Lebron broke it last night. As it currently stands, Jordan's scoring title record of 10 (1998) has stood for 25 years and counting. He’s a 28 million expiring contract who can still shoot a bit and probably rebound and pass but none of it on a level to justify big minutes with his defense. You imagine someone scoops him up to dump salary and finds a spot for this year or is he just totally utterly done? Like…in China at age 34 done?

For an individual achievement I can't think of anything Jordan did that matches this. In terms of impossibility, no one will do this again in our lifetime. Al though retiring 3x is something no one will ever do again.

We have plenty of NBA players that have played 19+ seasons. About 22 NBA players. Only 2 of them have cracked 38000 points. Only 2 of them have cracked 37000 points. Obviously amazing to be able to do it…but not like they usually go in. They just don’t replay the misses. He did have a season he made 41% of 30+ footers but I saw a career count show he was second best all time at 34 percent or so. Trey Toung was actually at the top with 36. Steph was in the 20s having taken way more than either but that no doubt...

Title. Was looking up some prime Joakim Noah highlights. Man, wasn't he a unique player at his best? Here's a crazy fact: he finished 4th in the 2014 MVP. Was an All-Star, 1st team All-NBA, and DPOY that season. He was the best player on that 48-win team.
