Yet how come they've both been selected in the all-star games for more than five times now? :confusedshrug:

And they are right. Detroit put Wallace on Shaq without help betting that Kobe wouldn't pass the ball enough to make them pay for it and they won the bet.
For the series Kobe took 29 more shots than Shaq shooting 25% worse from the field. Epic chucking display.

Jokic is slow and heavy. Embiid is heavy. Do you ever make any sense?

LOL - whining about minimal help - how many of Lebron's rings were won without an All-NBA teammate? 1 - he has hopped around to get help.
Duncan won 4 without an All-NBA team mate - staying on the same team for 19 years with all the ups and downs. Cry me a river - especially about context.

This is not a knock on Lebron. But all these years that Lebron fans bragged and boasted distastefully. Will they finally admit that someone has him beat in stats? Lebron is only the GOAT when you twist facts and only look at what you want to look at. You could argue that Jokic is more gifted than Lebron in every single category. But Lebron fans...

I don't understand why Lebron is still playing basketball. He's not gonna win any more championships, all he's doing is trying to push his stats higher and higher. But why?? His career is already cemented. Basketball is a young mans game and it's passed Lebron by.

At this point, maybe I'm just preaching to the choir. All real fans know Jokic is better than Lebron. But he's better than Lebron ever was. I mean WAY better. Can you really argue otherwise?
All you Lebron fans bragged for years and put down so many players to prop up your king. Why can't we just admit that Jokic is a near perfect player and...

You really believe that??
He could have The Avengers on his team & you all would still believe he has minimal help. Why is he the only one that gets to use that line?
How much help does he need? According to you guys, Lebron GODLIKE. How many Wades and AD's does he need? Doesn't he always have shooters and role players around him as well as...

He's slow defending the P&R. He's not that athletic nor that fast laterally. The answer is to attack him consistently & wear him down. I swear the Lakers had a lot of success doing that to him in 2020 & last year but they don't stick to nearly enough as they should.
That's how the Pistons beat the Lakers in '04. Shaq was slow so they put him in...

His defense is better than average now. His one on one defense isn't, and he can't guard the small guys, that's true. His team defense is actually great and he steals and deflects the ball a lot. Plus he runs the floor every play and that counts. Sure, he is no Tim Duncan on defense. But Tim Duncan couldn't contain Shaq either and neither could...

I agree for the most part but I think his defense is average at best. He is too slow, I don't think he can guard very strong centers like Shaq or skilled like Olajuwon.

EPM also says Embiid is the best player in the league. EPM says that Jokic is the 5th best/most impactful player in the league. EPM also says Lebron is an elite defender which he clearly isn't if you watch the games.
AD is a 2-way superstar big man
he has 2 guards who can create their own shot & get to the FT line + create shots for others...

True. But I have a tough time imagining the Lakers playing better than this game after tonight's loss. And Denver was really bad until the last 4-5 minutes left in the 3rd. This seemed to be the Lakers best chance to build momentum. They almost have, but instead got their hearts broken. Will be very hard to snap out of it.

OK then. As for me, I have not seen a better basketball player than Jokic, ever. GOAT lists are usually accolade driven so let's just not go there yet. On ability to play the game? Very few on this level and I haven't seen a sustained level that was higher than Jokic' playoff run last year. If he can repeat that a few more times he is Tier1. On...

Insane comment even if we pretend he didn’t have much better coaching back then. 2018 sure although I think that roster post trade line was more intelligently built than anything Pelinka has ever done.
EPM is a pretty good indicator of impact and it says LeBron IS the most important player on the Lakers. You just don’t like him which is fine...

I really dont think this is fair. Last year they beat a hot Grizzlies team. Then they beat the defending champs. They lost to the best team in the league last year and theyre losing to them again this year.
Last year people even kept claiming after each game they figured out the Nuggets but just didnt quite convert. Tonight was the same story....

What the Lakers suffering right now is knowledge / wisdom of a good/great coach, especially in crucial moments like this
But since Lebron wants to be their playing coach and GM (Ham is like a placeholder), then they have to reap what they sow

Why can't AD take over consistently? Does he get the ball and he just can't make shots when it matters? Is that really the issue here? What was the issue when he led the team in everything but assists in 2020? Why has his usage rate and FGA & FTA decreased since then despite the higher pace and more minutes per game? Why did they go from a slow...
