….being great at them will generally make you more reliable in situations where you can’t assume a good shot will present itself. Often clutch situations.
So…. should we or should we not not encourage young players to play that way?
I remember a few years ago people blamed an off-season of Kobe tutelage for Tatum coming out taking...

The Democrats really should deal with Senator Menendez. Durbin just came out strong on Clarence Thomas. And he's probably right but let's not ignore how dirty Menendez looks right now. Even if they don't care about the moral issue they should at least realize that if he gets to run a reelection campaign he will cost them a seat.

If you were around the game … If you knew, you knew
The actual truth back then.
Damn, they even getting into the fact that LeBron did his “friend” dirty abruptly leaving Miami to go back to Cleveland. Guy is such a piece of shit.

Let's assume this forum is still up and running 20 years from now. Which will be the last ISH vet to leave in your opinion? I'm talking 2006-2014 members. Not newer ones. Keep in mind mental health, obesity and incarceration. Some members might not be able to keep logging on even if they wanted to or may simply die within that time.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was a big time NBA star last year and I think he's close to achieving superstar level, maybe. What do you think of his game, and how many point guards are even better than him right now?

If you have been around here(or just the internet) for a while you notice how many arguments people make are based on “But I thought you said *insert argument from other subject* but now that doesn’t apply?”
Ignoring that the argument being referenced is one the accuser himself didn’t agree with.
So what happens is the accuser takes a firm...

Now that he's sharpened his skills in Taiwan, it seems the Warriors are considering signing Dwight.

The Warriors could certainly use a big center with defense....
But there's always the matter of hoping he stays out of prison for sexual assault.

Continuing on with the Lewis-Jamison thread. These two seem like similarly-ranked players.

The infamous Vince Carter elbow dunk done in the 2000 dunk contest turns out to not be the first one ever done by an NBA player. Apparently Kobe did the elbow dunk in 1997 in this re-emerged secret dunk contest tape.

First, the Friendship melody is incredibly catchy and irresistibly delightful. It's such a catchy melody. It radiates an infectious happiness that's hard to resist.
Second, I love the Kitana Friendship at 1:05. Two sisters sharing such unbridled joy with each other. It's so heartwarming.
And the portrayal of Joker at 3:55. The intricacies of...

Defensive stats weren't a thing back then and we still don't have the best data from before the statcast era but yeah Jones rates out as pretty unrivaled there, although Edmonds overall value was similar. I generally hear fangraphs WAR is best for position players, and Edmonds stacks up well with most players you can think of in fWAR, especially...

Edmonds was definitely a better hitter but I always got annoyed when cardinals fans thought he was on Andruw’s level defensively.
Went to a Braves/cards game at Busch stadium on 06 I believe and they were fully of the opinion that “Jimmy” was that guy in the field. Yea…no.

I don't expect liberal outlets like CNN or MSNBC to talk about it, but if there was any legitimacy to it, surely someone like Jacobin (socialist), the Anarchist Library (anarchist obviously), or Current Affairs (socialist) would echo what you're saying. But it's the exact opposite:...

Right, because left wing media is definitely going to talk about how their own side staged Jan 6 and had their own agents on the ground escalating the riot. Jeez can't imagine why only right wing media talks about it.

Please tell me where I defended the government, arrests or prison sentences, I literally just said prisons shouldn't exist. Not believing Tucker Carlson's conspiracy theories doesn't mean I support whatever your pea sized brain thinks I support.
