I have a friend (yes, its my friend and not me..) and he insists on wearing his Candace Parker jersey to almost every sporting event he goes out to. I keep telling him to man up and at least get one good NBA jersey in his wardrobe, maybe a LeBron or a Wade or even a Duncan, but no... he simply wont consider it. He says that she is his favorite player so he wears her jersey and that he actually looks good in it, I just think he looks like a ***.

Is this acceptable, or do I have permission to take away his man-card?

Hey, some dudes wear women's underwear. So a WNBA jersey is no big deal.

I think that if your a true fan of the game then it doesn't matter. I only own 1 jersey which is a Zeke throwback, but I would definately wear a Deana Nolan Jersey to a game. She is a straight beast and could probably be anyone on ISH.

I'm a guy, I have season tickets to the Sun games. I know most of the WNBA players by name and face, and I know their positions.

But I would never wear a W jersey in public.

Who still wears jerseys out the only place jerseys should be worn is at the game or on the basketball court. Yeah but I could never wear an WNBA Jersey unless my wife or girl played in the league and I wanted to support her AT THE GAME.

That guy sent me a D-Wade jersey for my birthday and I thanked him and joked with him about his WNBA jersey thing... Just got me thinking about this thread is all.

Maybe he thinks he's being a "real man" by persistently wearing a WNBA jersey. I never would, but if I got smacked in the head a few hundred times and somehow started taking the WNBA seriously instead of NBA, maybe I would consider it.

Probably not.

Another theory is that your friend is an attention whore and likes to shock people?

I think that's pathetic. He should just get an NBA jersey. If I say a boy wearing a WNBA jersey, I would just stare and laugh at them. Take a couple pictures, post em on Facebook. :lol
