And they have no idea what they're voting for.

A guy's been in the senate FOUR YEARS, and to boot had one of the highest absentee rates when it came to voting on issues.

But hey, who needs substance, right? That's not the foundation of liberalism. Ideals are. "Yes We Can" and "Change in Washington." It sounds good, right?

Who cares if businesses have to cut jobs because he raises their taxes so that he can give tax "cuts" (aka more handouts) to those who are paying nothing in taxes in the first place. A nicely timed slogan of "Tax the evil rich!" will certainly rally the liberals who are programmed to root for the underdog, even in illogical circumstances.

Liberals have no idea what they're in for. They're voting for this guy JUST to stick it to conservative America and every republican who they automatically assume is racist.

Horrendous judgement once again by the looney left.

I actually choose candidates based on the substance of their policies, not simply the ticket they run on. Barack Obama has zero quality substance to his candidacy. His resume is sparse to put it generously, and his policies are borderline socialism.

The fact that you assume because I'm anti-Obama that I'm pro-Bush does much to trumpet your own political ignorance and shallow thinking. It's a disgrace that you get to vote but at the same time is what makes America a great country, no matter how much you and all the euro cross-dressing metrosexuals hate it.

mccain has served in the Senate his entire life, long before Bush was there, and even incurred the wrath of his own party for bucking their traditional voting ways.

Obama has been in the Senate for four years and hardly ever voted, so that he could simply take whatever position was convenient when he made his hasty jump to run for President.

Obama is a huckster. He's nothing but a career politician. He's only taking the positions he is now because they are popular now. "Change in Washington" all this stuff. He's a scam. you may be living in an oblivious bubble or under a rock, but mccain's the real scam. old man's been pocketing millions for years for himself while pretending to be the righteous champion of de-regulation. but he's the same guy who took care of private interests before anything else, protecting culprits who bribed him during the savings and loans fiasco. but you're too f--king delusional to even know who you're worshipping. and what's so smart about the guy? years in office does not equate to making right decisions. the guy is so clueless he can't even make a decent choice for a vp pick. but if you agree with that palin pick, then you're really a lot dumber than i thought. and mccain's so out of touch that he didn't even know the state of the economy only a a month ago, claiming everything was "sound" before backtracking and trying to reword his idiotic mess. even as recent as these past days, mccain has demonstarted poor judgement in the way he's been handling the campaign with the attempted smear attacks and then the retreat. the guy's record in being wrong definitely trumps the new guy. that's not much to brag about. only the dumbest and most clueless americans would want a bush puppet back in the office if they were so sick of the original 8 years of W. too bad you're too hard headed or lost to think clearly to understand any of this. whining about obama being an arab terrorist or whatever does not make you a thinker. it makes you lame, hateful, and stupid.

just to correct our young mr. assface, those in the lowest tax brackets get next to nothing in obamas plan. something like $44 dollars in the lowest tax-paying bracket. The bulk of his plan is directed at the lower middle to upper middle class, which makes sense since this is the bulk of america. as usual, assface is full of rhetoric based on nothing more than the empty words he heard someone else say.

Gore is not a far-left looney fringe liberal. He is pretty much in the center, and just happens to run on the democratic ticket because you cant win unless you pick one of the two.

Gore's list of service to this country is extensive and remarkable. He is one of the true statesmen of our time. Take some time to read his resume. It is uber impressive.

Obama by comparison looks like the most opportunistic, johnny-come-lately nobody looking to capitalize on idiots who think because he's tall and good looking he's a great choice for president.

His policies wont help you.

Do you really think he's going to pull out of the war? No. I really dont think he has the balls to do it.

Do you really think he can do anything to help the economic crisis with the way he wants to spend? No. He will only devalue the dollar more. That's one thing a president can do is not spend so much money and allow the fed to print mass money.

Do you really think he has the expertise and knowledge to make energy decisions especially considering the ones he has proposed are completely far-fetched and will most certainly not be attained? First off, this is my real account, I just don't post very often. Secondly, I never said mccain was going to be different from bush. I never stated anywhere that I was pro mccain, it's just that people buy into this change slogan that obama continually harps on. The fact of the matter is regardless of what happens, the country won't be much better off with either person as our president. Do any candidates ever do what they promise? God forbid, someone says something about one candidate they automatically assume they're for the other. The next few years will be rough regardless of who is at the helm.

let me guess. you were on the ron paul or nadar ticket.

so you probably hate both current candidates regardless.

you might dislike both, but to suggest obama is same as bush or mccain is beyond ridiculous and a bit ignorant. they are not the same. we're all tired of bush, and we don't want a similar clone of him back in office.

right now, we have two realistic choices - obama or mccain.

your preference, the third party candidates, may represent something you believe is different, but that is just not realistic right now.

obama wants to end this mess in iraq while war-hungry mccain says he'll force the troops to stay in iraq for 100 years if he has too. how is this the same??? they're different.

obama wants give direct relief to middle america and tax the upper 5% in a bottom-up economic approach while mccain wants to give tax breaks to the elite instead. so how are they the same???? they're not. their fundamental approach are complete opposites.

mccain's also the same guy who's pocketed millions and millions of dollars while in office. so how much does a senator make annually anyway? not really that much, but if you're mccain, it doesn't matter because if you help your rich friends, they will help you back. mccain's agenda is full of self-interests. obama, on the other hand, chose to work with underpriviledged families and students after he graduated as the top student from law school. so how are mccain's interests the same as obama's interests????? one was working to beef up his own pocket while the other was focusing to help the less fortunate. can you even think for a second what this significant difference of philosophy will do in the white house and how it affects america???

obama has not even been elected yet and he already has received respect and welcome from rest of the world. mccain, being a bush sidekick, has none of that. if you don't think that's any important, then you probably have received too much posion from the sean hannitys or bill o'reillys. america needs a strong and respected leader first in order to restore much of the diplomacy that was destroyed by little bush.

even the characters of both men are so different. obama's been running a relatively fresh and mostly positive campaign. he's stuck to his principles and have not steered off. he's shown much better judgement in decision making. mccain, on the other hand, has been the playing the same nasty political game that bush and karl rove used to play, and has demonstrated some incredibly awful and tasteless judgement.

obama is a HUGE change from bush. anyone who follows politics should clearly see that.

unlike Bush? Money wise Bush was the most socialist president in modern world history.

You have to decide what you want to do, borrow and spend (Bush) or tax and spend (Obama).

either way it comes back on the tax payers eventually, and these days with mounting debt there is no choice but to tax and spend (that is unless you want to keep borrowing, making the Chinese and the Saudis more powerful and giving them more say in your future economic affairs).

mccain has served in the Senate his entire life, long before Bush was there, and even incurred the wrath of his own party for bucking their traditional voting ways.

And you are a sheep and cant see it. You are voting for him because you want to show everyone you dont care what race the president is. You're swept up in this liberal "let's antagonize the red states and put obama in office! i know nothing about him, but "yes we can" really sticks in my head!

Just like the sheep who voted for Bush. It's the exact same thing. And you're too stupid to realize it.

It's hard to take somebody seriously that enjoys fake fighting.

what a douche (not sharas the guy hes responding to). My 70 yr old white mum was there. Blame the blacks.

You do realize they only account for about 12% of the US pop and the states with the highest black pops (LA for example) went red. :hammerhead:

it should. It'd be interesting to see how state IQ averages stack up with the vote.

I think his point is that many of the states mccain took are states with strong racial divisions and antipathy. remember that school in LA with the fake lynching tree, etc.? Those states are the ones that went mccain (obviously not all of them). Also large pops of evangelicals and anti-choice as a primary presidential issue  certainly helps.

My point is that it is a huge wake up call to that population that there values do not reflect the average american values. will they change or try and push back?

Obama won. What's done is done. It was the result of many factors. Partly Obama himself being a highly intelligent African American. Partly, well should say mostly, due to the ****ups in the Bush Administration.

I think he's a fitting president. A puppet, yes. One of the better ones I have to admit. My hat goes off to McCain and that heartfelt speech last night. America needed that. Some nut job redneck in AL or MS probably shot themselves now that we have a real black leader to look up to in the nation's most prestige and powerful position. That's a good thing! The less rednecks the better off we'll be by-golly!

I don't want to rain on everyone's parade, but as many of you are already aware - the end is near. Yes folks, this is the beginning of the bed. The alpha and omega will meet once again. Don't expect this to suddenly take place over night though... but somewhere in the near future, the world will slowly (but ever so surely) begin it's own demise.

Watch for the signs.

Judging from your avatar upgrade I'd say the signs are pretty good.

I am so proud of President Obama, Vice President Biden, Obama's family, and all of his supporters right now. This is a historic moment and one that will be looked back on as a turning point in American history.

Don't listen to the haters, all Obama supporters should feel proud today that they supported such a great candidate who will surely bring great change and improvement to the United States during his presidency.

3 years to come up with an answer and still nothing.

Look at all the retard liberals in this thread who had no scope of how politics work.

"obama is a democrat and a black dude! Im a little kid who thinks the establishment is always wrong and the underdog is always the best! Look how awesome and progressive i am for sayinb screw the republicans, im votig for obama!"

And bere we are, 3 years later... What a remarkably stable and prosperous country we've reverted back to under the new presidents leadership. Hazaa! remarkable

I often wonder what the US would be like if Gore had been handed the presidency back in 2000 instead of Bush. I remember way back during the debates, Gore was saying he wanted to re-invest the surplus in america and create jobs, while obviously Bush wanted to use the surplus to give tax cuts. Also Gore probably wouldnt have invaded Iraq after 9/11, so thats a few trillion dollars less that we would owe to china and the saudis.

Also for the record I am so over Obama. Thats the last time I let some charismatic lying dickbag politician convince me that he actually cares about making a difference in the world. As far as I can tell Obama is basically just black Bush.

Clint Eastwood on Barack:

Obama is a career politician, a "faker" implied Clinton Eastwood, more firmly saying Obama 's "one who is ".. having to just lay out a certain line " and hoping "people will believe it -so he can stay in the position." Eastwood also told Katie Couric, on CBS News, that our country has "gotten ourselves into a financial mess that is going to be really bad if we're not careful. "

I mean it's bad right now, but it's gonna be," Eastwood corrected himself letting his fear of just how bad he thought it might be hang there the way dread of future financial doom is present in the hearts of most Americans. Then Eastwood added an opinion many Americans share, "I don't think there's too many people out there making sense at the moment."

A good case for term limits, was made by Eastwood, when he voiced his concern that an honest candidate was forced to make promises he couldn't keep to get elected while a career politician would have to learn the art of fakery and lying if the goal was to be reelected.

The full transcript explaining Eastwood's lack of faith in Obama and concern about our country follows, two weeks from election day follows: (Start the video at 15.28)

Katie Couric: And what do you think about what is going on in the country?

Clint Eastwood. I think the country is in a very strange period, right now; one of the stranger periods that I can remember in my short lifetime. We've gotten ourselves into a financial mess that its going to be really bad if we're not careful. I mean it's bad right now, but it's gonna be, I don't think there's too many people out there making sense at the moment.

Katie Couric: From either party?

Clint Eastwood: It seems like people are becoming political for some sort of notoriety and not for really accomplishing anything. And everybody talks about what they can do; and I guess that becomes, is because everybody is promising so much.

In order to get a job as a politician, you have to promise the moon - and you can't deliver the moon. If you come out, you're honest and you say, we, ah, I can't give you all this stuff but I can try to make a more organized government for you whether its state, county, city or federal. And uh, if that works out - fine - but you can't just say that.

Without - What are you going to give me? What are you going to give me from the Teacher's Union, or anybody? They all have their hand out. You gotta appease that hand or you don't get the job.

It means you have to lie. It means you have to be a faker to get the job. So if you make good speeches, you get the job.

But then when it comes right down to it, you get the job now what do you do? Well, it's good news you got elected and it's bad news I got elected. So, uh, how do you, how do you handle it?

And that's the way it is on almost all of the jobs. I was only mayor of a small city. You, you have some of the same obstacles in a small way. But I don't think I lied or anything to get the job. And I did the one term and bailed out because I figured one term was fine and there should be somebody else come in.

But when you get career people, it's a whole different deal. You gotta go in and lie for the next time to get the job.

Katie Couric: Are you a fan of Barack Obama's?

Clint Eastwood:You know I think he is a nice fellow and I enjoyed watching him coming along. And I enjoyed watching him campaign and win the job - but I'm not a fan of what he's doing at the moment.

Katie Couric: Why?

Clint Eastwood: Cause I just don't think he's governing. I think he's gotten bad - I don't think he's surrounded himself with the people he could have surrounded himself with.

And he's doing, just what we were talking about, he's having to just lay out a certain line of, that uh, and hope people will believe it -so he can stay in the position.

I don't think there's anybody I see out there, or many people, that have that kind of discipline and are willing to really take a chance on losing.

Oh... and another thing...

I'm glad to see my home state of Ohio went for Barack. Our state has been taking a beating for the last several months. What this election has shown is that the morons and hicks that have attempted to make our state look like a bunch of idiots are in the extreme minority. A three-point percentage victory in Ohio is a pretty large spread.

BINGO!

Eastwood knocks it out the park!

People want the government to preserve every lil furry forest creature from natures natual cycle. All it does is grind the country to a halt. Whts FAIR, and what's EQUAL is to apply laws and rules equally toeveryone, and let the chips fall where they may. Libs want the government to swoop in any time someone falls behind, generally as a result of their own apathy, and throw them over their shoulder and carry them.

Increasingly more people are seeing this and saying "hell, ill just get carred." Obama is basically saying "You dont have to pay attention, manage your finances, control your own financial destiny - if u vote from me, we're puttin it all on the rich peoples tabs"

Why isnt obama looking at real tax reform? Or any real meaningful nonpartisan issue facing the country? Cuz hed rather play class warfare party politics to save himself and his cabinets jobs.

Saying Obama is better than Bush isn't much of an argument. I mean, is that the best you got?

Obama like most liberals is a bed wetter. He has shown almost no leadership. He is near expressionless. He's continued bail outs and he wants another stimulus package that will no doubt fail. He wasted all that money on that failed greenie weenie company that is now being investigated by the FBI. He wants to decide what to do with people's money. He is a socialist con and a fake politician just like Eastwood said.

He is losing Jewish support and even black support.

What has he done differently than Bush? He hasn't created a national crisis out of the blue. He started a war for no reason.

He came into office with the job of ending a war and pulling the nation out of a financial hellhole. Unfortunately that is a bit like trying to put out a wildfire with a garden hose.

I didn't envy his position when he took office and i still don't. No matter what he did there wasn't going to be any quick solution to those problems.

he wouldn't have started a war in Iraq. IMO not started one in Afghanistan either. the 9/11 revenge war mongers were mostly on the right wing guilt tripping patriotism. left is very passive and anti war party generally speaking.

he wouldn't have been in bed with the big corporations. i've said all of this multiples of times here, do u read anything? and i don't see any one of you bringing up any good points EVER, other than being retards and citing one exception to try and prove it speaks for the party in general :facepalm its so laughable to me even still that there are like 2 morons here that really think the Democratic party is racist, or anywhere near as racist as the right. its funny how u pretend to judge from some high horse when u don't ever bring up shit, its like trying to talk politics with LoJ, like we're all here just to appease, or prove ourselves to u :wtf: anyways as i just said in a earlier thread the Republicans especially during the Bush Administration era were very big on big business deregulation.

he wouldn't have ruined our reputation around the world. Bush was mocked and despised abroad. there were protest marches against the U.S. around the world. Obama is the opposite, very charismatic, diplomatic, and an extremely good speaker. he's done a lot to make that forgotten history. The sad thing here is you'll probably say i have Obama's dikk in my mouth when its just reality. I tell it like i see it, and if it were any different i'd say it. i could care less if it were Obama or Bush, but i swear its just ridiculous to me u don't see this reality of things. Bush was almost insecure, definitely did not instill any confidence in his character, and he was almost a characiture 'American' with his cowboy accent, especially how foreigners must have viewed it.

i'm sure theres a ton more i can list if i really brainstorm or look up stuff but i'm not trying to make this a bigger essay. I just really have to question if u keep up with current events or even politics. if u do, i'll never understand how some of u can't see simple reality, or even know recent history :confusedshrug:

For four years of term that list is quite shallow. Lets mention the amount of money he himself has spent. And here he is talking about major expenditure by the pentagon.

He hasn't served 4 years yet, or even 3 . He took office in January of 2009.

Math fail. :oldlol:

President Obama was never a leader despite being the president. I mean the guy goes on 4 vacations a month, meets sports teams once a week and plays basketball five hours a day. Nothing wrong with that but you would think the president would have his priorities straight.

eh even for two years that's shallow. Did you read the list? there are things like extending katrina relief and other nonsense in there...

By his own admission he is a failure.

No that is just a reading failure on your part.

ummm...Obama has demonstrated the same lack of leadership. The last time America was in decent shape is when republicans had total control of congress. And that wasn't during Bush's tenure either.

The failure is with you.

Just to add: That's a quote that Obama made in 2006. Yet, he has followed the same patterns.

Obviously i have to explain your quote since you don't have the mental capacity to understand it.

Obama was talking about the government as a whole, specifically the Bush Administration. You took it to mean that he was talking about himself which i can understand given the general lack of sense in your posts.

So when do i get to find out what my beliefs are and how they are damaging the country?

That was a 2006 quote. It's critical of the leadership of that time but the leadership has changed very little since he has been in office. The troops aren't all the way home, spending is out of control and were still shooting missiles at people.

Obama sucks. I don't care if you think he's better than Bush or not. The bottom line is that he's not a good President and most everyone is seeing that and that's why he's losing support left and right. Most of the people that still believe in this loser are black people and the stupid white liberal youth.

and you thought he was talking about himself. Hence, you are a dumbass.

The troops aren't all the way home, spending is out of control and were still shooting missiles at people.

And what do you expect him to do? should he pull out of Iraq and let them get into a civil war? Should he let the banking system fail?

What should he do?

Most of the people that still believe in this loser are black people and the stupid white liberal youth.

I am neither. The people who are the most disappointed in him are the people who had high expectations for him. I am not in the camp.

and you thought he was talking about himself. Hence, you are a dumbass.

If that logic applied in 2006 then why shouldn't it apply to him and his term also? What's he going to say when his next stimulus package fails. And it will.

And what do you expect him to do? should he pull out of Iraq and let them get into a civil war? Should he let the banking system fail?

He's the one that said he was going to get the troops out. Yet, they're still there.

I am neither. The people who are the most disappointed in him are the people who had high expectations for him. I am not in the camp.

Then you shouldn't be attempting to defend him. His term has been a failure.

Would McCain have really done anything better? :confusedshrug: Whoever was going to be elected President in 2008 or even 2004 (Kerry) was going to enter a shit storm.

he wouldn't have started a war in Iraq.

Bush was almost insecure, definitely did not instill any confidence in his character, and he was almost a characiture 'American' with his cowboy accent, especially how foreigners must have viewed it.

i'm sure theres a ton more i can list if i really brainstorm or look up stuff but i'm not trying to make this a bigger essay. .

Because in 2006 the country wasn't trying to recover from a banking system meltdown.

He said he would get the troops out. Did he say he would do it in 2.5 years?
