Instead of making a lot of threads we can put the latest trades, and rumors that we hear, also your thoughts and opinions.

Seeing that the Warriors are going down hill and that Stephen Jackson wants out, I think the Sixers should get Stephen Jackson to play at the SG spot. He can handle the ball, defend up to 4 positions, and he can shoot the 3pt at a decent clip and the Sixers do need a shooter.

PG-Miller
SG-Jackson
SF-Iggy
PF-Brand
C-Dalembert

I'd like Jackson, just don't like his contract. But I'd put up with it. Only thing is Miller would probably be the one to be traded for him.

Quite obviously, it depends on who would the Sixers give up for Jackson.

I don't like the idea too much (despite the fact that Jackson would be filling blatant team needs), but if Philly could get him for, say, Willie Green then why not? Of course GS wouldn't take it. But I don't think Philly should offer much more than that.

giving up Miller for Jackson would be a huge waste in Miller's expiring contract we can do alot better than that.

for example...If I were to give up Andre I would look to get every nickel out of his contract I could. Instead of just picking up one player unless it makes sense. I would look for a deal where I could pick up 2 players. Let's say Denver were willing to give up Smith and Kleiza and the salaries match up with Miller's I would jump all over a move like that. Both are good shooters both are a need we got 2 good shooters instead of one more bang for your buck. Andre's contract is 10mil we could use it in several different ways we don't have to just blow it all on one player.

Yeah Denver has Billups though. There's only so many teams I can think of that need a pg or an expiring contract.

Miller for Rip Hamilton works salary wise and was something I though of. Pistons could switch AI back to the 2 guard. And they're also a team looking to dump salary (Sheed and AI). But Rip is also 30 with a contract just about identical to S Jax.

Detroit didn't need Iverson but they made it work even though it meant putting a legit starter on the bench. That was just an example so don't take that to serious. I'm not a man of making up a bunch of trades I leave that for the gm's. I would probably consider Jamal Crawford or J.R. before I would ever think about a Jackson or a Rip.

dalembert for larry hughes type of deal more players can be added. hughes is hitting the three and thats what philly needs. Hughes still plays good D and can either start at the 2 and move iggy to his natural position or let hughes come off the bench. The bulls get what they want a big that can play d and get rebounds. They wanna move Hughes anyway to open up pace for thabo and hinrich when he gets back.

philly
Brand/Ratliff
Spieghts/Evans/Marshall
Thad/Hughes
Iggy/Hughes/Green
Miller/Lou/Ivey

Bulls
Dalembert/Noah/Gray
Gooden/Thomas/Nocioni
Deng/Nocioni/Thabo
Gordan/Hinrich/Thabo
Rose/Hinrich

With the draft coming up who should the Sixers pick in the 2010 Draft? Should they draft for need or the best available?

BPA imo. Sixers need a SG. Only guy given where Sixers select that I know of who qualifies as a SG? Xavier Henry. Not much in terms of SGs in this draft (Evan Turner is long gone unless Sixers get a top 3 pick). So I say go BPA. I dont like Patrick Patterson or Stanley Robinson.

Here some guards that the Sixers should look out for.

Patrick Christopher- Cal
Manny Harris-Michigan
Evan Turner-Ohio State
Xavier Henry-Kansas
James Anderson-Oklahoma State
JP Prince-Tennesse
Jordan Crawford-Xavier
Scotty Hopson- University of Tennessee
William Buford-Ohio State
Malcolm Lee- UCLA
Dominique Jones-South Florida
Terrico White- Ole Miss
Durrell Summers-Michigan State
Iman Shumpert- Georgia Tech
Elliot Williams- Memphis

Most of these guys are around 6'4-6'7. Most of them can play both guard spots.

One of the guards that I like is JP Prince (Tayshun Prince's Cousin) This dude is a point-forward that can ball. His jumpshot and free throw needs work but he can ball. He might end up being a 2nd round pick or undrafted free agent.

Most of these guy are mid-late to 2nd Round Picks.

I wa just thinking about this when I was reading this season preview on teams and what to expect from them this season.

If Eddie Jordan hadn't used that Princeston Offense and Lou Williams hadn't got hurt around the beginning of the season, do you think the Lou and Andre Iguodala backcourt would have worked out?

I'm excited to see Jrue and Evan play together.
