When Did You Realize Girl's/Women's Basketball Is A Joke?

I got this idear of this thread when I saw 100-0 Girls HS game. What a joke a team couldn't even get lucky for 32 min off play and hit a single shot. Womens basketball is such a joke it is not even funny.

The First time i realized this was quite early. It was in middle school 7th grade. My school's coach like schedule practice with the varsity girls and we ended up scimmaging them. We all thought it was going to be a really good match because the girls were in best division in Ohio HS Athletics which is Division I and ended up that year going to the Final 4 or Elite 8 in the state tourny.

Anyway when we scrimmage them, we absolute destroyed them we played like to 15 buckets and they scored 2-3 buckets. we played like 3 games each and our team was just an above average 7th grade boys team and we were destroying State Bound Girls Varsity with ease.

From that day foward women's basketball has been a joke to me.

I'll say this: my high schools' girls team is extremely good. They're the ones who can play with the guys and leave them crying for their moms. The WNBA will fold unless they make some changes the market now is causing the smaller market NBA teams to have a decrease in viewers. The Houston team already shut down and they were a team that won the championship. I say lower the rim to 9 feet and change out those ugly baggy uniforms to get male fans or you won't have a WNBA faster than you think.

i remember playing a pick up game with lindsay yamasaki, a former all-american at stanford and wnba player. she was the only wnba player i ever played with, so she could be used as a standard to measure from. i must had gone like 10% in totally chill mode, and she still got trucked over like shaq running over a steve kerr. i literally felt embarrassed to even have to be there. women have no place in men's competition. the difference in strength and everything is just too much. they might beat guys in 3-point contests, but in actual games, i'd say even high school boys should destroy them.

the fundamentals and skills are only relevant if you are strong enough to use them. take a bunch of skinny ass 9th graders with skills and can dribble and shoot. they might do alright against kids their age, but put them against older physically mature college guys with adult builds but much less basketball experience, they're probably gonna get crushed in every physical level because, like it or not, basketball is a physical sport and size and strength do matter. girls just don't have the genetic physical capability to match up with men. the difference is not little but immense. the intensity level is an ocean wide apart. an average 17-year-old varsity big man with semi decent post up skills should score on and rebound over an wnba center all day and night. the difference is ridiculous.

We smoked em. We were a top youth team nationally though. Not that basketball is a big sport were I live, but we were no untrained unskilled kids.

the team work and skills in women's play may exist. there's no denying that because some of them can play decent ball against their peers, but if they were playing against men, where you place in physicality as a factor, there's just no match whatsoever. varsity or even jv guys are just way stronger and faster than even grown upwomen. there's no intensity in women's basketball. they play like cardboards.

Me and my sisters boyfriend played 2v2 once against two high school asian girls who were getting recruited by UCLA. Ok lets just say me and my sisters boyfriend have like no skill and no jumper and these girls were like Allen Iverson mad crossover and pullup jumper and the other Ray Allen hitting everything wide open from anywhere on the floor. Yeh in the beginning they were nailing some jumpers in our face it was pretty impressive I was like holy shit, me and my sisters boyfriend wound up winning every game like 7-15 though just from getting easy layups, only difference is after 3 games these girls weren't even sweating and me and my sisters boyfriend were dead almost lol so yeah we won only because we were taller and could pack the shit out of them everytime,

The sad thing is even though they had so much more skill then us and such better shape we still won by a large amount, poor asian girls lol.

Please lets not disrespect College Basketball. They couldnt even beat New Jersey Institute of Technology aka the Worst College Team i have ever witnessed a 51 game loosing streak playing in a conference god knows what is called.

To put in perspective though, I think the best WNBA teams like the Sparks and Comets is equivalent to a below average High School Varsity Team. They aren't better than the average Varsity Team. The could beat the shytty Varsity Teams though, and believe their a bunch of them out their. They could be able to put up a good fight against a below average Varsity Team though.

It is hard to pin point though because a really good JV team with young fresh and soph could easily beat even an average Varsity Team.

Like I know my freshman team, we were really good 17-3 that year some like that anyway we were runner ups in the championship game of the tournament, we should have won we got fouled with 1 sec left down by 1 and my teammate missed both Fts. Anyway when we scrimmaged our JV team, they were an average group i would say we started the game off 19-2 it was something ridiculous like that ran them off the court.

But if i would bet my life on it I would say

Best WNBA Teams = Average Small (public) Varsity HS Boys Team

Volleyball you better believe that. There's a girl at my school playing volleyball next year for Rudgers, she is a monster hits the ball so hard. She is also a "freak athlete" especially with the vertical. She is like 5'10-5'11 she came over to my house she was grabbing my rim (10ft) barely but grabbing it no joke i was like wtf. I'm pretty sure she can dunk a volleyball, i don't think she can get a women's basketball down IDK ill ask her if i c her in the halls today.

i would say almost any sport it is legit maybe not so much softball. They aren't very pleasant to watch except for volleyball and tennis but they are legit.

The only thing really that isn't legit is girls/womens basketball in my eyes and from what most ppl are replying here their eyes also.

Meh, not really.

Venus and Serena actually play a guy who was a "pro amateur" player a while back, and they got demolished.

Lindsay Davenport has a husband who played reasonable amateur tennis. She never dared play him, even during her prime, because she knew she would lose. Keep in mind that her husband was not even an active tennis player at that point.

Tennis is a very physical sport. Really, if you play on a regular basis and are in shape you should be able to hang in the WTA quite easily.



That said, womens tennis is still enjoyable to watch. And it's not even just because of these in shape women sweating and moaning and running around in skirts....
The pace is a little slower and there are more rallies than in men's tennis.

I can't watch womens basketball, but yeah, I can definately watch womens tennis. Highest ratio of good looking girls with nice bodies compared to other womens sports. Plus a lot of womes tennis players are from European countries Slovakia, Czech Republic etc. Some of the hottest women in the world.

Although I can watch womens boxing, but mainly cause im a boxing nut, and they actually have better technique than a lot of the guys do.
