Yes I may point out that Kobe's peak WAS actually in 2003. But I will revise the question to '99-'02 Kobe. Kobe was better scorer & clutch player. Better franchise player/leader. Pip was better defensive player, versatile player on both ends, and brought the intangibles. Again as I said before, if I need franchise player to start with, then I go with Kobe, otherwise Pip. We cannot discount the all around aspect of the game and non-scoring contributions also. :applause:

I'm just wondering. Are you from a different country and is the applause icon thing your signature? You seem to be intelligent but your grammar is hilarious to read when reciting it on an Indian accent.

Yes, and the clapping icon is not a signature.

I am thinking Kobe by a mile. I know he averaged like 21 in the 00 playoffs on a sprained ankle, than 27 in 01 and close to 30 in 02. What did Pippen average?

Ummm...franchise players?

Pippen. I would pick him over Kobe.

Why?

Because in 1994 if there wasn't for that punk Hue Hollins Scottie would lead Bulls to the Finals.

Would he win? Probably not.

But could Kobe win without Shaq those titles? No. I don't think so.

Kobe is great scorer and...that's about that.

Pippen;

- ridiculous wingspan
- great defender
- can score
- great rebounder
- good passer
- smart player
- quick as hell
- his stealing game was second to none

Kobe is just amazing scorer.

Pippen would be my franchise pick. He's the type of player to complement any addition that would come in.

Kobe demands too much possessions to be productive, Pippen can contribute with having a 25% FG night.

But you kids that didn't watch Pip play will not understand the last statement and you won't get the idea from watching 30 seconds of him on YouTube so...yeah.

LMAO notice how he just sat down and didn't scream in Hue Hollins' face, and he officially had all the rights to take a gun and shoot him in the face?

Yeah todays superstars have the privilege to cry in refs face on every season unimportant trivial games from the 1st to last quarter...

There's a lot more to the game than just scoring...

Are you trying to say an old Scottie Pippen was better than '00-'02 Bryant?

2000 WCF
Game 1
Pippen - 19 Points . 11 Rebounds . 5 Assist . 41 FG%
Kobe - 13 Points . 3 Rebounds . 6 Assist . 44 FG%

Game 2
Pippen - 21 Points . 11 Rebounds . 3 Assist . 60 FG%
Kobe - 12 Points . 2 Rebounds . 4 Assist . 22 FG%

Game 3
Kobe - 25 Points . 7 Rebounds . 7 Assist . 61 FG%
Pippen - 12 Points . 9 Rebounds . 6 Assist . 39 FG%

Game 4
Kobe - 18 Points . 4 Rebounds . 7 Assist . 33 FG%
Pippen - 11 Points . 10 Rebounds . 2 Assist . 33 FG%

Game 5
Pippen - 22 Points . 6 Rebounds . 3 Assist . 67 FG%
Kobe - 17 Points . 5 Rebounds . 4 Assist . 31 FG%

Game 6
Kobe - 33 Points . 2 Rebounds . 6 Assist . 50 FG%
Pippen - 9 Points . 6 Rebounds . 4 Assist . 17 FG%

Game 7
Kobe - 25 Points . 11 Rebounds . 7 Assist . 47 FG%
Pippen - 12 Points . 10 Rebounds . 3 Assist . 30 FG%

Pippen outplayed Kobe in games 1, 2, & 5 while Kobe outplayed Pippen in games 3, 4, 6, & 7. Overall I think Kobe had the better series and I will say Pippen was a beast on the boards in that series. And lets not forget Kobe played on a sprained ankle throughout the '00 playoffs.

And old Pippen did not "own" Kobe like you say.
