it would be funny if he was so short that people thought he would be a midget or something then just grew a bunch.

thats what happened to me (not to that extent but still)(

Don't know the weight but Dale Brown, Shaq's College coach said he was 6'8'' at 13.

He met Shaq at a basketball clinic in Germany on an Army base there. Oneal's being stationed there at the time.

According to Brown, Shaq walks up to him after the clinic & says "Mr. Brown can you give me some big man drills that I can use to help me get better."

Brown says sure. The asks how long he's been in the service? Shaq laughs & says i'm only 13.

Brown says young man, take me to your father. The rest is history.

Yao was 5'5 when he was 10.

Yeah, before the Chinese government injected him with superHGH. And even if that were true, go Yao!

I read he was 6'6" at 14. If he grew 2 inches each year from 11-14, that would put him at 6'0".

Here's an expert from a book I found in my room titled simply "Shaquille O'Neal"

When he was 13 years old, however, Shaq coudldn't dunk at all, even though he was already six feet, six innches tall.

I was about 6'0 when I was 12.....I'm around 6'10 and abit now....just saying. Might give you an idea that Shaq was similar in size around that age.

Although alot of people grow alot at different stages. By the time I was 16 I was over 6'6.

Didn't Rodman grow 8 inches in like 3 years?
