Great post :applause: :applause:
Kobe's was obviously better. Oldschoolbball will now disappear from this thread. Add the fact Lakers won in 6 and Cleveland lost in 6 and there really isnt a competition
Kobe's 2009 WCF Performance was vastly underrated, and imo it was just as good as Lebron's 2009 ECF Performance.

Kobe's was not obviously better. Its all about teams defense. The entire Magic team knew they only had to stop Lebron and the could not do it. Lebron's is better because of the lack of help he had and the fact that the Magic played significantly better defense than the Nuggets. Just look at the numbers Kobe put up against the Magic the next round. That is the better comparison. The Nuggets don't play defense. Also, the Lakers are so good around Kobe that you can't double him at all. You think it might be easier to score when the team you are playing knows they can't leave shooters open or not pay close attention to guys like odom and gasol. Against the nuggets, Gasol averaged 17 points 13 rebounds and 4 assists on 60% from the field. Come on now.....

Sigh. I didn't say that they never did....just simply that the other Lakers are too good for a team to try to stop only one player in Kobe. You can't do it. The Magic knew that if they stopped Lebron the other players would not step up and were not capable of beating them. How can you dispute this?
Look at what Kobe did against the Magic compared to Lebron. Kobe played well, but not nearly at the same level or efficiency that Lebron did. And Kobe had a ton more help so that Magic could not solely focus on him.
Having a one man team is not good for winning and what Lebron was able to do against the Magic last year is even more impressive when you factor all that in.

You have it all wrong, the Magic did not focus all their defensive energy on Lebron. I recall in several press conferences, where the Magic knew that Lebron will get his and they didn't put extra effort to cover him defensively. They stayed at home on the Cavs shooters and teammates and shut them down.
Watch both series. Kobe's individual matchup was just as difficult if not more simply because he to expend energy in high altitude in Denver guarding Carmelo Anthony one of the best scorers in the league. Lebron didn't have to guard anyone near that caliber. I agree Lebron's teammates didn't play as well, but Kobe and Lebron faced equally difficult defensive pressure just watch both 2009 WCF and ECF. Plus Watching that Cleveland vs Orlando, the Magic didn't really put a lot of pressure on LBJ, they stayed at home with his teammates, and let Lebron get his. I believe that was the Magic gameplan to beat the Cavs that year.
Repost from earlier:
Lebron Shot 48%Fg 29%3P 74%FT
Kobe Shot 48%FG 34%3P 93%FT
Lebron Average 15.6 FTA per game. (That's basically like 06 Finals Wade)
Kobe Average 12 FTA per game.
Lebron Average 25.6 FGA per game.
Kobe Average 21.8 FGA per game.
Kobe 2.16 TO per Game
Lebron 4.16 TO per Game
Kobe had arguably the more efficient series.
Lebron's volume stats were result of him just having the ball more in that series than Kobe.
Plus the Magic's gameplan was simply to let Lebron get his and shut everybody else down. A lot of wing players were putting up big games against the Magic that season. Yes they were a number #1 rated defense, but they hardly did anything to stop Lebron. Just look at all the stats that Wade, Kobe, Roy, and other great wings put against the Magic during the season.
Kobe had to play in a higher altitude area of Denver, where you get more fatigued. Guard a elite scorer in Carmelo Anthony on many possessions.
I don't know if Lebron actually faced a tougher matchup individually. I say Kobe and Lebron played under the same amount of defensive pressure. I'm pretty sure SVG admitted to letting LBJ get his and just lock down everybody else.
The Cavaliers faced a tougher team defense than the Lakers.
Kobe and Lebron individually probably had equally difficult matchups considering the fact Kobe had to guard a player the caliber of Carmelo Anthony in high altitude on several possessions where Lebron was simply a roamer most of the Orlando series.
Kobe's 2009 WCF was on par with Lebron's 2009 ECF. IMO

Ginobli is just a troll.
Are we forgetting Lebron was guarding Rafer Alston?
Its Kind of easy to beast on offense when you are guarding the worst player in the starting line up  Who was only playing because of Jameers Injury:oldlol:

Great player. Consensus choice for 2nd greatest shooting guard ever.
My favorite Kobe moment was probably that game in 04' against Portland when he hit those ridiculous 3 pointers to force OT, and then win the game (and I think the Pacific Division).
