Orlando in 5 or 6.
Reasonings please...

Well, I would say the 76ers have a good chance at upsetting the Magic. Avery Johnson also said this last night on Sportscenter. I think with the bigs the 76ers have they can contain Howard easily with Dalembert, Evans, Ratiliff, etc.... I also think those 3 pointers the Magic have will be contained as well and I don't think they are comfortable either with Lewis and Hedo just recently being hurt.

I would say the Key matchup falls around the Small forward position, Iggy vs Hedo. Should be a fun matchup.

I say the magic win in 6, possibly even in 5

The sixers like to run, and that's just going to play in to the hands of the magic who could potentially blow some of these games wide open. I expect Dwight to come in focused playing like he did last year against the raptors. Iggy needs to play well for the sixers to have a chance, because he can at times be off with his shot although he usually fills out the rest of the stat sheet.

i say magic in 6. the sixers have contained dwight pretty well all season. but the 3's have rained down on us all season. things sixers need to focus on is making free throws knocking down the open 3 and gaurding the perimeter.

Howard also was guard by Chris Bosh and Rasho. :oldlol:
Not taking away his credit, but that just means that he owned a bunch of international scrawny big men. He's playing against men again in this series.

I don't think the 3's will rain down simply because Hedo and Shard have been injured in the last 2-3 games. I don't see the 3's being hit for them.

X-Factors for Both teams..

76ers: T. Young - Their team's best shooter, Efficient scorer, Can hurt the Magic easily

Magic: Courtney Lee - Rookie sleeper, pretty good defender, can score and shoot.

Texas is international now? Chris Bosh is clearly much more international than Samuel Dalembert, who is actually a Canadian citizen (the country where Bosh plays) and was born in Haiti. :confusedshrug:

Hedo + Shard arent seriously injured. They were just resting them and taking extra precautions. They could've played all 3 of those last games. Magic will be fresh and rested. I expect a clean sweep.

Well i got news, this aint the regular season brotha... so yeah, good luck with 'containing' Dwight when his focus will be @ a completely nother level. He always comes out hella focused in the playoffs. And Philly's matchup zone plays right into our shooters hands... All those open looks from 3, plus Dwight Howard in the middle? I just dont see Philly competing for too long man... They may be able to stretch it out to six, but I wouldn't be surprised if they got the sweep either...

I hope Sammy doesn't have any special haircuts this year. I hope DiLeo is drilling into Thad's head that he can't leave Lewis open anywhere. Alston doesn't worry me. Turk does.

We've got Dalembert, Speights, Evans, Ratliff, and Marshall. That's 30 fouls we get to use up on Dwight and put him on the line (59%). Hack-a-Howard:pimp:

Sure, just don't be upset when he only averages 15 PPG.

He 'only' averaged 15 PPG because he was in foul trouble two of the three games. Dalembert has always had trouble guarding Dwight, and if he avoids ticky tack fouls early in the game, there's no way he's held down in this series.

But keep thinking Philly has a chance.

The only reason why I don't think their shooters will be hitting shots is...

1. Hedo and Shard just came off of injuries as the season ended and their shooting rhythm is probably off

2. Their backcourt is questionable as well, Courtney Lee is an inexperienced Rookie, Rafer Alston hardly ever makes any shots when he shoots.

ITT: Philly fans in denial.

It will be a fun game to watch, but philly doesn't have what it takes to make this a real series. Iguadala is great, but he was the most played man in the regular season, with the #2 guy a whole 2 hours behind him. That will catch up with him.

Also Dunk Party and Block Party by Howard. Watch out if you're anywhere within two blocks of the arena, you might get hit.

Lol @ everyone thinking the Magic are soo vulnerable.

Even most of the experts on ESPN think it's gonna be a close series... (Yeah, the same experts that predicted Boston(w/o KG) is still a gimmie to make it to teh ECF's :lol).... Boston cant beat Orlando w/o KG. They tried twice & loss twice.

Philly just, in general, cant beat the Magic... They've played them 3 times, and they've lost all 3 of those times. I just dont see what Philly's gonna bring all of sudden that's gonna give the Magic some kind of sudden problems. Philly can win a game or two, but I wouldn't expect it.....

personally, i want us to play Dwight straight up. Don't leave their shooters. The last game we played we just kept letting Courtney Lee shoot, and eventually he started making them at the end, which is why we lost. The other close loss was on a Rashard Lewis late 3 pointer. Just make them into a driving team, our defense is good at collapsing on the penetration and forcing turnovers. Orlando fans that think this is a walk in the park are mistaken.

Magic are simply just outhustling the 76ers with their rebounding. Honestly, how do you let Dwight Howard get that deep into position?

76ers need to use Dalembert and Evans more on Howard, Ratliff is useful.... on Gortat.

The Magic bench is a lot stronger than the 76ers Bench though, that's why the entire Magic bench have a + in their +/- while the Magic's starters all have minuses.

That wasnt acting "gangsta" any more than Terry Bradshaw. Its loud. Not "gangsta". Besides he had a good point and explained it well. He knows what hes talking about. Ive been hearing boring announcers repeat cliches older than they are for 20 years. Good to see something different. And hes not even yelling for yellings sake like Steven A Smith. He had a point to make and everyone was just talking over eachother. Looked like a real conversation to me. Real barbershop talk might be rare these days. I only go two places. One is heavy **** talking...nba/nfl all day. Other is quiet as hell. The shops we had as a kid might be coming up short.

9 years old...playoff talks going on...cop the baby ruth from the vending machine that only had baby ruths and peanut M&Ms. hop in the chair for the cut from Mr.Posey who doesnt like the Hawks or Pistons.

Back in the day when I was young im not a kid anymore....

I don't care who he was guarded by, this is the nba and if it was that easy we'd see that alot more often, but we don't, so I'm not afraid to give credit where it is due.

They don't need the threes to rain in because they're a better team than the sixers. This is the kind of time that can be dangerous for the sixers because it can be blown open so quickly against a team like the magic.

BTW how is Howard doing against "real men" so far?
