I dunno how scary it is in retrospect, but when I was younger, the Hellraiser movies scared the **** outta me. Especially Pinhead and his quotes.

"We'll tear your soul apart", "No tears, just a waste of good suffering", "We have such sights to show you", "Gentlemen, I am pain", etc etc etc

And Frank at the end of the first movie with his last words, "Jesus wept", that **** sent chills down my spine for reasons I still don't understand. Terrifying.

Michael Myers. No one else scares me. I'm a grown ass man and if I watch a Michael Myers flick now? Then have to go outside to the ride which is night time here? I'll be paranoid. For me to watch a flick the lights have to be all on and daytime would be nice. :D I think something happened physcologically as a kid that freaked me out about dude and I havent gotten over it. No clue why this dude scares me. Weird.

:oldlol: Are you serious? Dude was in ALOT of cable movies. Anything that involved some kind of martial arts. It could be just a detective trying to bust an organized Chinese gang. And he'll be one of the badasses the cop faces. Or any kickboxing, martial arts type flick. Its crazy if he was seriously 50. Fooled me.

The exorcist scared the **** out of me because when I watched it I was like 10 years old. One of my sister's friends had gotten it for a slumber party. I watched it by myself the next morning, and scared myself shitless. Haven't watched it since then.

I've had dreams where Michael Myers is coming after me. That scene in the first Halloween when Laurie is sitting on the stairs thinking Michael is dead, but behind her you see him sit straight up and turn his head to face her. No wasted motions, no arm assistance sitting up. Nothing. Just pure evil!!! That's the best scene in the whole movie. And when Laurie spots Michael in her yard. **** it, the whole movie is incredible.

I've also had dreams where Chucky was chasing me, but then when he finally caught me, he asked me to help him murder people, which I did. I'm kind of a weird guy.

Freddy Movies scared me because you could never tell if the dudes was dreaming or were they awake....

laying there scared to f*cking death to fall alseep... and then 1 slight nod and you think every thing is normal until you go in the kitchen and your mom and sister's head are in the fridge and freddy is behind you with a sickle, and he is laughin...

stuff like that would get to me

I was also afraid of American werewolf in London....

I was also afraid of ultra man when I little... my sister used to force me to watch all kinds of stuff.... even down to creature double feature and night gallery..

night gallery scared the hell out of me too..

Im getting scared just thinking about it :(

Was scaredssh!tless of dolls for a while. It's not the violence that Chucky has that scares me. It's just those f*cking INANIMATE GLASSY EYES that I've PERSONALLY SEEN or HALLUCINATED BLINKING in the porcelain set that was near the bathroom by my bedroom growing up HOLY F*CKING SHIT SO MANY SLEEPLESS nights.

what helped me get over the fear of freddy k. was learnin to lucid dream and literally changing enviornments/having autonomy of your dream.

grown male killers don't really have any effect.. i'd say its the little girls that bring the terror.

Wow, I had some decent posts in this thread. Coming back to it The Exorcist and Salem's Lost still freaked me out as a kid. And it is true that when I asked my mother if the devil could come into my room with the window closed my mom said "I don't know." instead of saying "No, honey you're fine." I was scared to death that night I went to bed.

On a side note, the Paranormal Activity movies play with my mind sometimes. I honestly don't believe in demon's or ghosts personally, but after watching those movies the following night sometimes I'd have a harder time getting to sleep because the movie was on my mind. I was imagining some demon pulling my ass out of bed dragging me down the hallway.

I saw ALIEN with my mom like 1,000 times when i was young. She taught me early on, it's not real, it's ok to be fun scared but if you are really scared you might not understand correctly. So I am totally desensitized. I think if that thing was really in my house i'd go get the bug spray.

That said, i think movies where things are in the normal house coming out are scary. Like THE GRUDGE (JU-ON), that would be messed up because that is your house, there is no escape.

Chucky and Hellraiser both legitimately scared the bejesus out of me as a child (particularly Chucky). And this is not so much me nominating this next character for all-time scariest, I'm just saying it was terribly disturbing enough to make me not want to watch all of Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

The part where Judge Doom gets run over by a steam roller? What the hell is that doing in a cartoon? And when his arm became a saw? Jesus christ. . .: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSTL3AidX4o
