View Full Version : Did Shaq lose a LOT of weight recently?

I mean the WWE lists "The World's Strongest Man" Olympic Powerlifter Mark Henry @ 6'2" 390 lbs, but it looks like he has 100lbs on Shaq EASY.
Shaq must be down to 285 lbs here.

Here's a pic with 6'0" 285lbs Tony Atlas. Atlas is twice as thick as Shaq, but Shaq is about 7'2" so they both look about the same weight.

Here's a pic of Shaq with 6'8" 326lbs Kane. Shaq looks a good 40lbs lighter than Kane.

Either the NBA is OVEREXAGERRATING Shaq's weight or Shaq lost a lot of weight and is down to 285lbs now.

he is trying to lose a lot of weight for next season, is on some big diet. he has a lot of posts about it on twitter.

When you are taller, you can carry more weight and its less noticeable. Shaq does look slimmer but still 300+ for sure.

That's cause most NBA players have arms smaller than an anorexic supermodel and you're used to comparing Shaq to them. When Karl Malone became a pro wrestler for a summer in the WCW, I was like WTF happend to the Mailman's Arms, they're half the size the used to be. The thing is that when the Mailman has 20" arms in the NBA, it really stands out, but in Pro Wrestling even some women(Nicole Bass) have 20" arms and it's no big deal and guys like Ice Train, Big Poppa Pump have 27" arms, Hulk Hogan probably had about 22" arms when Karl Malone Wrestled him, not the 24 1/2" Pytons of Thunderlips in Rocky 3.
It's just you're used to seeing Karl Malone with FREAKISHLY SKINNY people. You think people as skinny as Kevin Garnett or Manute Bol are normal among the fattest country in the history of the known universe?

nah i dont think his arms are big compared to bodybuilders and such. Ronnie coleman are probably like 22-23 with 5 percent bodyfat. Those ppl with arms of 27 inch have higher than 15 percent bodyfat

Shaq has been "skinny" ever since he first joined Miami. Look at his size in the 3 peat years, he was HUGE, way way bigger than he has been in a long time. He was relatively thin in Miami.

Also wanted to note that Shaq was most dominating when he was heavier. People call him fat all the time, but it's totally inaccurate.

Shaq plays Bball, and he's one of the biggest/heaviest/strongest NBA players. losing some extra weight should be good for his agility and speed. He's still over 300 lbs for sure though.

Who cares? Shaq doesnt even look that fat/overweight on that pic. Just big. Even if he's on a diet now.. he's never gonna be 'skinny'. this thread fails. why are we comparing nba players to wrestlers? :confusedshrug:

Are you really looking at that Mark Henry picture and saying he weighs 105 lbs more than shaq, not 75 lbs?

That 30 pounds is really thread worthy!

And you can't even judge their weights anyway

He's 8 inches taller!

I know people 4 inches shorter than me that are much heavier builds and weigh the same, height is a major contributor to your weight
