Correct. The best quote in those commericals is, "He's a lover not a fighter, but he's also a fighter so don't get any ideas."

Whats wrong with "stay thirsty?" It characterizes man's constant endeavor to better himself, and it relates to the beer.

The commercials were clearly meant to be humorous. I don't mind them. Them and the Bud Light Real Men of Genius radio commercials are among a select group of commercials that I can actually tolerate.

If you can't appreciate gems like...
-His beard has experienced more than other mens' entire bodies.
-He's a lover, not a fighter, but he's also a fighter, so don't get any ideas.
-He once had an akward moment, just to see how it feels.
-He lives vicariously through himself.

I think these commercials are brilliant.
Like somebody mentioned, YES they're suppose to capitalize on the Chuck Norris fad, and they do so in a great tongue in cheek fashion.

But these are slightly more bearable when compared to some of the piece of sh*t commercials out there

I was wondering what that sh*t tasted like. The same people make Tecate, and that sh*t tastes like unicorn piss. My sh*t is MGD. And for some reason, I know it sounds crazy, but I have to drink my sh*t out a can. Bottles are cool, but nothing beats the sound of crackin open a nice cold beer with a sporting event.

from wiki:
Tongue-in-cheek is a term used to refer to humor in which a statement, or an entire fictional work, is not meant to be taken seriously, but its sarcasm is subtle.
The origin of its usage comes from when Spanish minstrels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minstrel) would perform for various dukes in the 18th century; these dukes would silently chastise the silliness of the minstrel's performances by placing their tongue firmly to the side of their cheek.
The Oxford English Dictionary (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxford_English_Dictionary) defines it as "Ironic, slyly humorous; not meant to be taken seriously".
is it a coincidence that the guy has a "spanish" accent?
they made it corny on purpose.

hhhmmm, people always say that everyone talking about it even in a bad way is a good thing, i disagree woith that. if i see an add that irritates me i deliberatly dont buy the product. i happen to love the dos equis adds and think they are hilarious. whats the beer like btw? i see most of the beer adds on u.s tv are for awful stuff like bud light, im thinking dos equis is maybe soemthing more drinkable along the lines of san miguel maybe?
