????

After watching it on Amazing Race I found myself particularly interested in doing it to conquer my fear of height and starting looking around.

Unfortunately for myself, I am currently over the weight liit of around 250-260 for a tandem jump, but hopefully I can be under than sooner than later.

But has anyone else ever done this? It seems it would be incredibly fun and not as terrifying if you had a professional jump with you.

I went last summer. Lots of fun, you only feel like your falling for the first second or so...then it's almost like your flying. I was surprised how fast we fell when the parachute was open, and the view I had was amazing. Landing wasn't too bad (they had us slide on our butts)

Did it many years ago - it was great. If you do it, it's worth the extra $$ if you get them to record the dive for you. We watch it every now and again for a good laugh.

I've skydived and bunjeed and

Bunjee >>>>>>>>> scarier than the sky dive

your looking at the ground and diving your head towards it, it just feels unnatural

But the skydiving was ok, I went tandem but I think solo would be a lot scarier. Its not really a heights thing I don't think, because everything is sooo far away it looks fake

For me the best part was when they opened the door of the plane and you have to lean out and hang over the edge, because you have perspective
The actual falling part isn't scary at all, and the chute not opening didn't enter my head at all because the other guy was pulling it and the ground doesn't appear to be getting closer, so that part isnt scary it just feels like a giant fan is blowing in your face

I wouldn't pay to go tandem again, but I'd love to do a solo dive, just jumping out into the open air by yourself would be the best experience

What are considered some of the best places in the country to go skydiving? I'd imagine it would have to be an area with no water around. Wouldn't want the wind to carry you into the middle of a giant lake or something.

I haven't, and never will. I think it would be ridiculously fun and thrilling, but to me, it's like buying a motorcycle - you're just asking for bad shit to happen.

Humans have no business being up that high

No, but I'm willing to.

Last month I missed a chance to go with some friends, and I really regret it.

But I'm checking with them so at least they can tell me the place, and I'll try to go in summer.

Lets hope your parachute opens. It could mean the end of mankind. You didn't happen to go skydiving 65 million years ago?

*Also want to do skyboarding.

you could look into wind tunneling first. itz basically simulated sky diving and u do everything u would normally do while skydiving but in a wind tunnel.

Bump because I went today and it was f*cking awesome.

Seriously, if anyone is considering it, I recommend it.

In the first 10 minutes the plane was going up I started thinking "How did I came to the conclusion that it was a good idea to jump from a plane in movement?" . Yes, it was my first time and nerves were coming.

But then I realized the landscape was great, and that relaxed me a lot.

The few seconds the free fall lasts (before the parachute opens) are priceless. Really, it's an unparalleled feeling.

I want to throw the parachute out first then I jump out and keep my arms tight at my side and zoom up to it and strap it on at the latest possible moment.

wouldnt it be funny if you had a heart attack or blacked out due to the air pressure or whatever up there, and couldn't open up the chute..

it was fun, not really scary at all. bungee jumping is worse since you are so much closer to the ground and can really get that sense of vertigo.

Did it once. Was a good memory, but likely won't do it again because of the cost.

if you complete a full course, which takes a bit of time and a decent amount of cash you can do solo jumps for around $20
