with the first pick in the Marvel/DC Draft Team ~primetime~ selects:

Charles Xavier

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/3/31499/714091-professor_x_00_large.jpg

I need a leader to guide my team and who better than a man that can sense where my entire team is and what they are doing?

Natural leader for a team of super heros/villians and unless your team is all sporting special helmets he has control of them!!!

With the 2nd pick I choose: BATMAN

http://www.comicartcommunity.com/gallery/data/media/68/5265_3.JPG

Everyone knows Batman. He is possibly the most popular superhero in the world. Not only is he one of my favorite characters, but he possesses a wide variety of amazing abilities and resources that make him immensely powerful, respected, and feared by beings with much more raw power than him.

He is a leader and a loner/wild card at the same time. His experience in the Justice League, his own network and the Outsiders among other teams have shown that he can adequately fill many positions in a team. He will not be my primary/most vocal leader, but he is the most important member of my team.

His most important abilities are probably his paranoia and detective skills. By being extremely distrustful he can hatch ridiculously intricate plans to make sure that every threat whether friend or for can be neutralized. We all know that he has fought Superman to more than a standstill, and he has even the courage to go up against Darkseid using some well planned bargaining chips. He even has safe words and mental blocks to help him trick himself into not revealing his identity! He can plan meticulously or think on the fly better than anyone else.

Of course, he is a master combat artist, probably the best man for espionage in the DC universe, is extremely skilled at technology and science, and has the Wayne money and resources to help supply the team. He has had contact with almost every important DC characters, and has teamed up with many Marvel characters as well.

Batman ultimately brings to the table:
-Combat skills
-Detective Deduction
-Superior Combat strategy and planning
-High level Technology
-Communications network
-Leadership
-Money
-Ruthlessness

http://www.superherotimes.com/newsarchive/dcd111204batmanposter.jpg
and finally: he is always understimated by first-time foes because he is only a man.

The Magic Man
05-29-2009, 09:51 AM
With the fourth pick in the draft, The BMFs select....

http://i44.tinypic.com/2upvnea.jpg

Dr. Victor von Doom

Doom's most dangerous weapon is his intellect. A true genius, he is considered to be one of the most intelligent human beings in the Marvel Universe, second only to his arch-nemesis Reed Richards. He has extensive knowledge of all sciences, and is an expert in robotics, genetic engineering, weapons technology, bio-chemistry, and other fields. Doom is depicted constructing numerous devices in order to defeat his foes or gain more power, including a time machine, a device to imbue people with superpowers, and numerous robots. Doom's calculating and strategic nature leads him to use "Doombots," exact mechanical replicas of the real Doctor Doom, for many missions, typically those where he fears defeat.[19] Doom also possesses a limited amount of magic ability. This ability is due to knowledge of the mystic arts learned during his time with Tibetan monks and from his mother. His magical talents are limited by his lack of humility and refusal to admit that he is not a master of all arts. - Wiki

Dr. Doom will be the leader of my crew. As the draft continues, you will see a trend.

So, I draft:

Ranked #1 Comic Villian Of All Time (VOAT?)

Magneto has become bigger than his peers and virtually all of his enemies. It's the sign of a great character when his presence dominates a story and his absence creates a vacuum that cannot be filled by any other. Through his legendary role in Marvel Comics over the years as well as fantastic portrayals in film and animation, it's hard to argue that there has ever been a villain more complex, nuanced, sympathetic and yet irrevocably evil.
I pick Magneto. He has tremendous power, genius-level intellect, physical combat prowess, immune to telepathy, master strategist, and inspiring leadership...just to name a few of his attributes. Other powerful mutants practically worship the guy and would do anything he asked. Therefore, Magneto will be one of my leaders who can also mix it up on the front lines as well as anyone.

http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/1697/229703-magneto_large.jpg

The full extent of Magneto's power has been greatly expanded upon in the years since he was first introduced. At a basic level, however, Magneto has the ability to manipulate the electromagnetic force to achieve a wide range of effects.

Such effects include the creation of force-fields which selectively block out matter and energy (he can block the energy release and shockwaves from a nuclear explosion but allow visible light and the sound of his voice to permeate the shield). Thanks to this, Magneto is invulnerable to most harm when his personal field is active and can survive in deep space.

He can produce and manipulate all forms of electromagnetic radiation and has displayed control over electricity as well. He can also channel his magnetic powers through his own body so as to temporarily increase his strength, stamina, and agility to superhuman levels.

Magneto has been depicted using his powers to affect both magnetic and nonmagnetic materials down to a subatomic level, although it seems easier for him to manipulate the former. He has levitated objects as heavy as a 30,000 ton nuclear submarine and pulled a large amount of asteroids from their orbits in the solar system's asteroid belt to entirely block sunlight from reaching the earth; the maximum quantity of mass that he can levitate at one time is unknown.

He has demonstrated the capacity to warp the space/time continuum and create a wormhole to safely teleport himself and others; this, however, can only be explained by manipulation of gravity and it has been theorized that he can potentially control all 4 forces of matter. Magneto's ability to wield his powers effectively is dependent upon his physical condition; when severely injured, his body is unable to withstand the strain of using his powers.

Magneto has been consistently and frequently depicted as resisting all but the strongest or most unexpected telepathic attacks. Over the years a number of explanations has been proposed for this, such as: anti-telepathy technology wired into his helmet, latent telepathic powers (during the Secret Wars saga), some physical aspect of his electromagnetic powers that can interfere with telepathy (he once used the earth's magnetic field to dampen the powers of all telepaths within his reach), or sheer willpower. In his early appearances, Magneto was also able to engage in astral projection.

In addition to his powers, Magneto is also a genius with competence in various fields of advanced science, especially in genetic manipulation, physics, engineering, and other fields of technology. He has invented advanced weaponry, space stations, and intelligent superhuman lifeforms. Magneto is also a master strategist with extensive combat experience capable of surviving or even winning against what would appear to be a superior force. Finally, he has had extensive combat training, though he prefers to use his powers in combat situations.

with the 9th pick in the Marvel/DC Draft Team Doomsday Dallas selects:

Tony Stark

http://awordlessordinary.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/tonystark.jpg

Armor
See also: Iron Man's armor
Iron Man possesses powered armor that gives him superhuman strength and durability, flight, and an array of weapons. The armor is invented and (with occasional short-term exceptions) worn by Stark. Other people who have assumed the Iron Man identity include Stark's long-time partner and best friend James Rhodes; close associates Harold "Happy" Hogan; Eddie March; and (briefly) Michael O'Brien.

The weapons systems of the suit have changed over the years, but Iron Man's standard offensive weapons have always been the repulsor rays that are fired from the palms of his gauntlets. Other weapons built into various incarnations of the armor include: the uni-beam projector in its chest; pulse bolts (that pick up on kinetic energy along the way; so the farther they travel, the harder they hit); an electromagnetic pulse generator; and a defensive energy shield that can be extended up to 360 degrees. Other capabilities include: generating ultra-freon (i.e., a freeze-beam); creating and manipulating magnetic fields; emitting sonic blasts; and projecting 3-dimensional holograms (to create decoys).

In addition to the general-purpose model he wears, Stark has developed several specialized suits for space travel, deep-sea diving, stealth, and other situations. Stark has modified suits, like the Hulkbuster heavy armor. The Hulkbuster armor is composed of add-ons to his so-called modular armor, designed to enhance its strength and durability enough to engage the Incredible Hulk in a fight. A later model, designed for use against Thor, is modeled on the Destroyer and uses a mystical powersource. Stark also develops an electronics pack during the Armor Wars that, when attached to armors that use Stark technologies, will burn-out those components

Dooms got Iron Man and now it's finally my pick. A bit surprised this popular comic star hasn't been selected, I'll take:

Spider-Man

http://www.ubergizmo.com/photos/2007/9/spiderman-suit.jpg

When Spider-Man first appeared in the early 1960s, teenagers in superhero comic books were usually relegated to the role of sidekick to the series' main character. The Spider-Man series broke ground by featuring Peter Parker, a teenage high school student to whose "self-obsessions with rejection, inadequacy, and loneliness" young readers could relate.[1]:210 Unlike previous teen heroes such as Bucky and Robin, Spider-Man did not benefit from adult mentors like Captain America and Batman and had to learn for himself that "with great power comes great responsibility", a line that is most commonly his Uncle Ben's last or most remembered phrase.

I pick The Sentry
http://comicsmedia.ign.com/comics/image/article/696/696127/sentry-20060315012531235.jpg

The Sentry's powers derive from a serum that moves his molecules an instant ahead of the current timeline. Even though most of his powers and their limits are unknown, he displays several abilities including vast superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability and senses, the power of flight, and energy projection.

The Sentry has been shown to be able to easily lift tremendous weights, but generally greatly restrains his full power. He has been able to effortlessly defeat, and break the axe of Terrax, a herald of Galactus shown as powerful enough to slice planets in two, easily break through the shields of Doctor Doom, and his unrestrained power even overloaded the Absorbing Man. He possesses super-human speed, making him easily able to evade or catch bullets, and through flight he can travel to the sun and back in a matter of minutes. Nick Fury has stated that S.H.I.E.L.D. has not yet found a way to kill the Sentry, and Iron Man's scanners have found no physical weaknesses in his body. His durability rivals that of Thor, Hulk and Hercules. By unleashing his full potentia he managed to fight an extremely enraged Hulk for a prolonged time until both fighters reverted to their human forms and the Sentry collapses at Bruce Banner's feet. The Sentry also has superhuman senses as he once tells an opponent that he can see his nerve centers and claimed to be able to "hear a butterfly sneeze in Central Africa" from New York City. He can project energy fields and control light, and he uses his mental powers in his daily life, although they are primarily used for holding his physical form together. He was once able to implant his memories inside another person's mind. He appears to be able to bring the dead back to life under extreme emotional distress. After Ultron murdered his wife, Sentry was able to resuscitate her by simply touching her. He can also emit a radiation that pacifies the Hulk, severely limiting the latter's rage-fueled power.

Sentry possesses tremendous energy projection, capable of harming even the Hulk, who has withstood the equivalent of solar flares unharmed. The serum he drank was stated as being a hundred thousand times stronger than the original used on Captain America, and was modified by Weapon X.

Great pick Quata.

I choose...The Silver Surfer

http://www.superherotimes.com/newsarchive/SilverSurfermain.jpg

Origin

Norrin Radd - former herald of Galactus, omnipotent devourer of worlds. Radd offered his life to protect his planet of birth, Zenn La, from the insatiable hunger of mighty Galactus. Galactus accepted Radd's offer and imbued him with a infinitesmal fraction of his Power Cosmic. Galactus transformed Radd's flesh into a virtually indestructable metallic substance and created a silver 'surfboard' which he would use to travel across the cosmos in search for planets

Powers/Abilities

As a former herald of Galactus the Silver Surfer posseses the Power Cosmic. The Power Cosmic is capable of a virtually incalculable number of effects because it gives the wielder control over the four fundamental forces of the universe. Some of these abilities are the transmutation of matter, the capacity to fire destructive blasts powerful enough to destroy a planet, heal other beings, phase through objects, accelerate the evolution of lifeforms (even on a planet wide scale), see the past by peeling back the layers of time, time travel, travel between dimensions, and the ability to manipulate or absorb any form of energy or radiation. The Power Cosmic also grants the Surfer a form of cosmic awareness that allows him to feel all of the energy around him and to have some sense of the state of the universe. The Silver Surfer has strength levels that rival an enraged Hulk and is durable enough to survive the cold of space, the heat of stars, supernovae and even the crushing forces of black holes. The Surfer does not require food, oxygen or sleep although he has been known to eat, drink, and even sleep on rare occasions.

Dr. Strange

Went with the best source of magic.

http://www.marvel.com/i/2007/movies/drstrange/strange_right.jpg

Doctor Strange is one of the most powerful sorcerers in existence. Like most sorcerers, he draws his power from three primary sources: the invocation of powerful mystic entities or objects, the manipulation of the universe's ambient magical energy, and his own psychic resources. Strange's magical repertoire includes energy projection and manipulation, matter transformation, animation of inanimate objects, teleportation, illusion-casting, mesmerism, thought projection, astral projection, dimensional travel, time travel and mental possession, to name a few. The full range of his abilities is unknown. Doctor Strange's powers are sometimes less effective against strictly science-based opponents, although he can overcome this limitation with effort. Teleportation, Telepathy, Telekinesis, Magic, Hypnokinesis, Astral Projection are among his powers

he'll serve me good against Superman and the many others whose weaknesses are Magic

Black Adam

http://djblackadam.typepad.com/.a/6a00d83451d28b69e200e553801e718834-800wi
When your being played by the rock in a movie you cant go wrong :D

S for the stamina of Shu Using Shu's endurance, Black Adam can withstand and survive most types of extreme physical assaults. Additionally, he does not need to eat, sleep, or breathe and can survive unaided in space.
H for the swiftness of Heru By channeling Heru's speed, Black Adam can move at sub-light speeds in orbit. In outer space, Black Adam can fly at trans-light speeds, while on Earth he has been depicted of running at a maximum Mach 500.
A for the strength of Amon Black Adam has a phenomenal level of super strength, able to easily bend steel, punch through walls, and lift massive objects. Adam's strength is generally depicted of being on levels equal to those of Superman and Captain Marvel, though some writers have portrayed his strength as possibly outmatching them; on at least one occasion, he has been able to successfully hold his own against an assemblage of the Justice League, Justice Society, and the Teen Titans. This is something neither Superman nor Captain Marvel have been able to do.
Z for the wisdom of Zehuti Black Adam has instant access to a vast level of scholarly knowledge. The wisdom of Zehuti also provides him with counsel and advice in times of need.
A for the power of Aton Aton's power allows Black Adam to fly, fuels the magic thunderbolt that transforms Adam, enhances Adam's other physical abilities, and provides magic resistance against a massive amount of magic spells and attacks. Adam can use the lightning bolt as a weapon by dodging it and allowing it to strike an opponent or target.
M for the courage of Mehen This aspect is primarily psychological, and gives Black Adam superhuman amounts of inner strength from which to draw. His strength of mind renders him resistant to telepathy and mind control. In some depictions, the courage of Mehen also provides a degree of his invulnerability to harm.

Weather control

Storm is one of the most powerful mutants in the Marvel Universe and has demonstrated a plethora of abilities, most of which are facets of her power to control the weather.[64] Storm possesses the psionic ability to control all forms of weather over vast areas. She has been able to control both Earthly and extraterrestrial ecosystems on several occasions. She can control the temperature of the environment, control all forms of precipitation, humidity and moisture (at a molecular level), generate lightning and other electromagnetic atmospheric phenomena, and has demonstrated excellent control over atmospheric pressure. She can incite all forms of meteorological tempests, such as tornadoes, thunderstorms, blizzards, and is capable of summoning a hurricane,[65] as well as mist. She can dissipate such weather to form clear skies as well.

Her precise control over the atmosphere allows her to create special weather effects. She can create precipitation at higher or lower altitudes than normal, make whirlwinds travel pointing lengthwise in any direction, absorb ambient electromagnetism and output it as powerful electric blasts from her body, flash freeze objects and people, coalesce atmospheric pollutants into acid rain or toxic fog, and summon wind currents strong enough to support her weight to elevate herself to fly at high altitudes and speeds. Her control over air is so great that she can even manipulate the air in a person's lungs. She can also control the pressure inside the human inner ear, using this ability to cause intense pain. She can also bend light using moisture in the air and her manipulation of mist and fog to become partially transparent, and in later comics, almost completely invisible.

Storm has also demonstrated the ability to control natural forces that include cosmic storms, solar wind, ocean currents, and the electromagnetic field. She has demonstrated the ability to separate water molecules into oxygen and hydrogen via electrolysis, allowing her to breathe underwater. While in outer space, she is able to affect and manipulate the interstellar and intergalactic mediums. Storm can alter her visual perceptions so as to see the universe in terms of energy patterns, detecting the flow of kinetic, thermal and electromagnetic energy behind weather phenomena and bending this energy to her will.

Storm has shown to be sensitive to the dynamics of the natural world, and her psionic powers over weather are affected by her emotions. One consequence of this connection to nature is that she often suppresses extreme feelings to prevent her emotional state from resulting in violent weather. She has sensed a diseased and dying tree on the X-Mansion grounds, detected objects within various atmospheric mediums--including water, and sensed the incorrect motion of a hurricane in the Northern Hemisphere and the gravitational stress on the tides by the Moon and Sun as well as the distortion of a planet's magnetosphere.[66] Storm's mutant abilities are limited by her willpower and the strength of her body. Sentinels identify Storm as a possible Omega-level mutant.[67]

Magical potential

Storm's ancestry supports the use of magic and witchcraft.[68] Many of her ancestors were sorceresses and priestesses. Storm's matrilineal powers have even been linked to the real-world Rain Queens of Balobedu, the region from which her Sorceress Supreme ancestor, Ayesha, hails. The Mystic Arcana series deals with Storm's ancestor Ashake, who worships the Egyptian goddess Ma'at, also known as Oshtur

DARKSEID

http://spider-bob.com/villains/dc/images/Darkseid09.jpg

http://superherouniverse.com/art/data/586/darkseid.jpg

Abilities:

Darkseid is among the most powerful New Gods, sometimes depicted with a variety of god-like abilities at his disposal. His main power, the Omega Effect, is a form of energy that he fires from his eyes as either concussive force or beams of disintegration, capable of transmuting or erasing most objects and organisms from existence as well as to reform or resurrect them. Anything Darkseid disintegrates with the Omega Effect can be brought back at any time by him, and he often uses this as a form of punishment. Darkseid has pinpoint control over his Omega Beams, and his unerring aim allows them to travel in straight lines, bend, twist, or curve around corners, and can pass through matter and energy. Alongside incineration, transmutation, and resurrection the Omega Effect can also be used to teleport Darkseid or others through time and space.

Darkseid is also able to project the Omega Effect as energy blasts from his hands. Another type of Omega Effect is the Omega Sanction. The Omega Sanction traps the organism in a series of alternate realities, each worse than the previous one. Also, the ability has been shown to transport those struck by it through time and space.

In addition, Darkseid possesses superhuman strength, stamina, and durability equivalent to the corresponding traits of Superman and Orion . Countdown To Final Crisis #2 reveals that he also possesses the ability to increase his size. Darkseid possesses the power of telepathy and has also shown the ability to create psionic avatars and to lift objects with his mind (telekinesis). He is even able to open Boom Tubes under his own power, and can travel through time, space, and other dimensions with ease. Darkseid is also, being a god, virtually immortal, having returned from the dead a number of times and having lived for several thousand years at the very least.

Despite his great might, Darkseid generally does not rely on physical combat; he is a master schemer and strategist possessing a superhuman intellect. Darkseid has also shown some form of godly sense, capable of sensing the death of his son Orion and the fluctuations of the energy of the "Godwave" . Darkseid commands all the vast military and technological resources of Apokolips.

I pick The X-Man, Nate Grey. He's one the most powerful psychics out there with unmatched telepathy, telekinesis, and psionics. Also, he can teleport so he can easily move my team around.

http://xrpg.rpcommunity.com/images/nate.jpg

X-Man has the ability to tap into the enormous psychic resources of the astral plane in order to manipulate matter and energy. This grants him incredible psychic powers including telepathy and telekinesis. He can use his telepathy to read minds and even read residual thought imprints left on objects touched by people (psychometry), communicate with others by broadcasting his thoughts, control minds, create illusions by altering the perceptions of others, fire psionic blasts that can scramble an opponent's thought processes (causing the victim either intense pain, or rendering them unconscious), project his mind into the astral plane and even pull the astral projections of other telepaths into the physical world, and sense dimensional rifts or anomalies.

His telekinesis allows him to move, levitate, and manipulate matter by using his thoughts, create defensive shields by focusing his telekinetic energies around himself and others, and channel his psychic powers into explosive psionic force blasts. By levitating himself, he can fly at amazing speeds, and he can phase through solid matter by mentally shifting the object's molecules around his as he moves forward. His mental fine motor skills are so acute that he can mentally manipulate dust particles and water vapor to refract lightwaves and create holograms. He also has creative uses of his powers such as using his telekinesis to channel the Earth's magnetic field through the electrocurrent of his brain and generate devastating electromagnetic pulses. X-Man even learned that he could use his telekinesis to transport himself into other dimensions by mentally bending the dimensional barriers that separate one reality from another.

Phantom Stranger:

http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/marvel_dc/images/thumb/f/f8/Phantom_Stranger_v.3_1.jpg/300px-Phantom_Stranger_v.3_1.jpg

Why the Stranger? Power and vitality.

During Day of Vengeance, the Stranger had been turned into a small rodent by the Spectre. He was still able to advise the Detective Chimp, who sheltered him in his hat while he recovered his powers. He changed back using recovered energies [3] and aided the Shadowpact, allowing them to see the battle between the Spectre and Shazam. That makes a point that the supernatural community generally regards the Phantom Stranger as invincible.

A worthy adversary of both might and magic, Phantom Stranger will play a key role in battles against other top tier selections.

A short summary of the Stranger's powers from wiki:

He can fire energy bolts of great force, travel through time, dispel magic, reveal illusions, and survive in space without earthly life-support systems. His power seems to have unspecified parameters limiting them.

A true wildcard, the extent of his power ambiguous and left for interpretation.

the Incredible Hulk/Bruce Banner

http://www.firstshowing.net/img/incredible-hulk-FL-03.jpg

from Wiki:

The Hulk possesses the potential for near-limitless physical strength depending directly on his emotional state, particularly his anger. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-38)This has been reflected in the repeated comment "The madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets." The entity Beyonder (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beyonder) once claimed that the Hulk's potential strength had "no finite element inside". (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-39)His durability, healing, and endurance also increase in proportion to his temper [/URL][URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Pak"]Greg Pak (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-40) described the Hulk shown during World War Hulk (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_Hulk) as having a level of physical power where "Hulk was stronger than any mortal --and most immortals-- who ever walked the Earth." [42] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-41)
The Hulk is resistant to most forms of injury or damage. The extent varies between interpretations, but he has withstood the equivalent of inner solar temperatures,[43] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-42) nuclear explosions,[44] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-43) and planet-splitting impacts.[45] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-44) He has been shown to have both regenerative and adaptive healing abilities, including growing tissues to allow him to breathe underwater,[46] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-45) surviving unprotected in space for extended periods (yet still eventually needing to breathe),[47] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-46) and when injured, healing from most wounds within seconds.[48] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-47)
His powerful legs allow him to leap into lower Earth orbit or across continents,[49] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-48) and he has displayed sufficient superhuman speed to match Thor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thor_%28Marvel_Comics%29),[50] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-49) or the Sentry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentry_%28Robert_Reynolds%29).[51] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-50) He also has less commonly described powers, including abilities allowing him to "home in" to his place of origin in New Mexico,[52] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-51) resist psychic control (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telepathy),[53] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-52) grow stronger from radiation[54] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-53) or dark magic,[55] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-54) and to see and interact with astral forms.[56] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-55)
As Bruce Banner, he is considered one of the greatest minds on Earth. He has developed expertise in the fields of biology, chemistry, engineering, and physiology, and holds a Ph.D. in nuclear physics. He possesses "a mind so brilliant it cannot be measured on any known intelligence test".[57] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_%28comics%29#cite_note-56)

His powers are incredibly underrated, and probably the most physically gifted character in the Marvel universe. With a mind like Joker's, Hulk is the perfect tool for pure destruction.

Magic Man selects

Emma Frost
http://i39.tinypic.com/307puzd.jpg

Emma Frost is a mutant psion of enormous[57][58][59] telepathic ability and is also capable of transforming into an organic diamond state with enhanced strength and durability which suppresses her telepathy.

[edit]
Telepathy

Frost's abilities have been stated to rival that of Charles Xavier,[60] and she has been ranked amongst the five most powerful known telepaths on the planet[61] capable of extraordinary telepathic feats.[62] Since her introduction, Frost has displayed the telepathic standards of broadcasting and receiving thoughts, mind-control, altering perceptions and memories, psionic blast projection, astral projection, mind switching, brain engram modification, mental sedation and induction of mental pain via touch. Frost is also very adept at performing 'psychic surgery': the utilization of pin-pointed psionic energy to exert absolute control over individual brain functions such that the physical form can be manipulated (i.e., injuries healed, disabilities repaired, the nervous system, etc), a sub-skill of telepathy unusual for even the most powerful of telepaths.

[edit]
Diamond form

During the destruction of Genosha, Frost developed a secondary mutation: the ability to transform herself into a perfectly smooth, flexible, translucent diamond state.[63] In this form Frost is nigh-invulnerable and can support incredible amounts of weight, though different writers have shown varying accounts of her strength. Emma's diamond body is virtually tireless as she does not produce fatigue poisons and has no need for water or food.[64] She is also numbed from all emotion and empathy, "impervious to cold"[65] and resistant to heat in this form.[66][67][68] Though the exact location of the flaw in her diamond body has not been stated outright, clues point to it being located in between her eyes.[69]

Frost's full range of abilities between her diamond state and regular form have also been inconsistent[64][70]; however, recent occurrences[71][72] depict that Frost cannot access her psychic powers in diamond form, explained as suppression by her diamond form's adamantine luster.[73] Depictions have also stated that Emma has a degree of telepathic immunity while in diamond form, though the extent of this immunity has been portrayed inconsistently as well.[74][75]

[edit]
Telekinetic potential

On occasion, it has been hinted that Frost is also a latent telekinetic. Jean's displaced psyche was able to use Frost's brain to generate a telekinetic force field and fly while it inhabited the White Queen's body.[76] During the Onslaught Saga, Frost unwittingly levitated several kitchen utensils while having a bad dream.[77] When the mutant Synch "synched" with Frost's powers, he was able to use them to levitate several objects and individuals in the room. This phenomenon is then referred to as telekinesis and credited to Frost's psi powers.[78]

[edit]
Innate traits and expertise

Frost has a genius intellect and is a superb businesswoman with college degrees in multiple fields. She is a highly capable planner, an electronics expert[73] and is highly skilled at inventing devices that amplify, block, or engage psionic energy, as well as exploiting flaws in most electronic equipment. Emma has designed an array of devices some of which are the "Mutivac"; a mutant locater capable of monitoring the psionic levels of mutants, the "Hallucinator" used to induce hypnotic hallucinations to brainwash others, the persona exchange gun that enabled her to exchange minds with another individual, and the mechanism which enhanced and enabled her Hellfire cohort Mastermind to project his illusions directly into the mind of the Phoenix.

Martian Manhunter AKA John Jones

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/cf/MartianManhunterRossAlex.jpg

He is Practically a Clone of Superman. Among the Greatest Strategest In all of Marvel.

Martian Manhunter possesses a wide variety of superhuman powers, many of which are similar to those of Superman and Wonder Woman, including super-strength, super-speed, invulnerability and flight. Like Superman, Martian Manhunter has "Martian vision" (a term designating both the ability to see through solid objects and the ability to generate optic heat beams).

During the '90s, it was stated that the source of his flight and "Martian vision" is a form of telekinesis (he had occasionally demonstrated more traditional uses of telekinesis to levitate and animate objects during his Detective Comics and House of Mystery appearances).

The Martian Manhunter also possesses the power of shapeshifting, which he employs for various effects (e.g., adopting human or monstrous appearance, elongating his limbs, growing to immense size). He can alter the chemical makeup of his body to imitate various materials such as steel or stone. J'onn can render himself invisible, and is also able to become intangible so as to pass harmlessly through solid objects. He is a powerful telepath, capable of both perceiving the thoughts of others and of projecting his own thoughts. He often acts as a "switchboard" between minds in order to coordinate the Justice League's actions. The extent of his telepathic abilities is great; several times he has connected to the entire planet Earth.

His Greatest Abilility IMO

He has demonstrated regenerative abilities, once able to regenerate himself from only his severed hand but with great strain (due to the loss of mass he found it necessary to incorporate new matter from Martian sand). Early appearances of the character show him as able to breathe underwater

Aside from his superhuman powers, the Manhunter is also a skilled and very capable detective. As Batman mentions in his file, that "in many ways, Martian Manhunter is like an amalgam of Superman and the Dark Knight himself."

Quailman (along with sidekick, Quaildog [aka Porkchop]), "saved the world" on numerous occasions. Often seen wearing a cape, clean underwear over his pants, and a belt around his head, Quailman was a match for any evil-doer using his three 'powers' -- patience, intelligence, and speed. If those didn't work, there was always the "Quail Eye", a ray fired from his eyes, which would render his enemies "helpless and stupified". Quailman's villains are often based on Roger, with "Klotz" always being part of their name, for example "Dr. Klotzenstein", "Klotzilla", "Baron Von Klotz", "The Cyklotz", and Dr. Rubbersuit. Mr. Bone was also a villain twice ("Robo-Bone" and "The Rulemeister"). His dark side pays homage to the evil Superman in Superman III. He is a native of "the planet Bob", based on the planet Krypton where Superman lives in

Strong superman-type guys are reliable... but I wonder how tough they will be after getting punched a thousand times over with the momentum of the earth?

The Flash

http://bookhound.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/geoff-johns-flash-rebirth-1.jpg

The Flash is the ultimate speedster. And speed is crucial in these matches of titans. Possessing access to the Speed Force, the Flash has been shown to run at speeds allowing him access to other dimensions, he has run FASTER THAN DEATH, and has been able to travel back in time.

While some of those feats might be overpowered, even if we eliminate those ridiculous feats he still has one of the most dangerous arsenal of powers.

His power over speed is not just limited to his own body.

He can grant speed to others and take away speed from his enemies, making them immobile and useless, and making him an excellent teammate.

He can also give other objects the same velocity, so he can throw buses at you at the speed of light, or transfer kinetic energy into you and make you explode.

He can vibrate his molecules so he pasess harmlessly through almost any type of matter.

Flash is my glue guy. He can almost literally be everywhere at once, and with a proper field captain utilizing his abilities to the maximum efficiency he can take out the glass cannons early on, or transport the big hitters to another zip code/continent. I will also pick Barry Allen to represent the Flash, as he is the most experienced of the modern Flashes. Wally was always shown to be a little immature, but Barry has more experience and has been shown to be able to sacrifice himself for the betterment of the team. He and Batman also have team experience together, making the foundation of my team already able teammates.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/aa/Flash207.jpg

I think Flash is a great example of a character who has a chance to be overpowered, but if we are reasonable in evaluating him, he will be extremely powerful, but not too powerful that he can not be allowed.

Scarlet Witch

Initially, the Scarlet Witch had the mutant ability to manipulate probability via her "hexes", which usually manifested physically as "hex spheres" or "hex bolts". Wanda has the ability to affect probability fields to cause an occurrence of various unlikely phenomena, including spontaneous combustion of inflammable objects, rapid rust or decay of organic or inorganic materials, deflection of objects and powers in flight, and disruption of energy transmissions or fields. These hexes were relatively short range and limited to line of sight. Casting a hex requires a gesture and concentration on her part, though the gestures are largely a focus for the concentration. Despite this precision, the hexes are not necessarily guaranteed to work, particularly if Wanda is tired or using her powers excessively. If overextended, Wanda's hexes can backfire, causing probability to work against her wishes or to undo previous hexes. The effects are varied but almost always detrimental to opponents, such as causing the artifact the Evil Eye to work against inter-dimensional warlord Dormammu,[50] the robot Ultron to short circuit,[51] or a gas main underneath the Brotherhood of Mutants to explode.[52] Wanda is an expert combatant having been trained by both Captain America and Hawkeye, as well as being an adept tacitician due to her years of experience working as an Avenger and her experience in a variety of combat situations.

Writer Kurt Busiek redefined the Scarlet Witch's powers, and maintained that it was in fact an ability to manipulate chaos magic, given to her by the demon Chthon (imprisoned within Wundagore Mountain) when she was born. Busiek's redefinition upgraded Wanda's powers substantially, and she is shown as being capable of feats such as the resurrection of Wonder Man. Writer Brian Michael Bendis later revamped Wanda's powers yet again, with Doctor Strange stating that there was in fact no such thing as chaos magic and that Wanda had been altering reality all along.

With the 1st pick in Round 3, ~Primetime~ selects...

http://i42.tinypic.com/28ksnci.jpg

Wolverine

Wolverine is a mutant with a number of both natural and artificial improvements to his physiology. His primary mutant power is an accelerated healing process, typically referred to as his mutant healing factor, that regenerates damaged or destroyed areas of his body far beyond the capabilities of an ordinary human. This power facilitated the artificial improvements he was subjected to under the Weapon X program, in which his skeleton was reinforced with the nearly-indestructible metal adamantium.

Depictions of the speed and extent of injury to which Wolverine can heal vary. Originally, this was portrayed as accelerated healing of minor wounds,[24] but writers have steadily increased this ability over the years. After several years, Wolverine's healing factor was depicted as healing severe wounds within a matter of days or hours.[25][26] Other writers went on to increase Wolverine's healing factor to the point that it could fully regenerate nearly any damaged or destroyed bodily tissues within seconds.[27][28][29] Among the more extreme depictions of Wolverine's healing factor include fully healing after being caught near the center of an atomic explosion[30] and the total regeneration of his soft body tissue, within a matter of minutes, after having it incinerated from his skeleton.[31] It has been stated in the Xavier Protocols, a series of profiles created by Xavier that lists the strengths and weaknesses of the X-Men, that Wolverine's healing factor is increased to "incredible levels" and theorizes that the only way to stop him is to decapitate him and remove his head from the vicinity of his body.[32] If an object composed of carbonadium is inserted and remains lodged within his body, his healing powers are slowed dramatically though they are not fully suppressed.[33] His healing factor also dramatically slows his aging process. Despite being born in the late 1800s,[34] he has the appearance and vitality of a man in his physical prime. Though he now has all of his memories, his healing abilities can provide increased recovery from psychological trauma by suppressing memories in which he experiences profound distress.[35]

In addition to accelerated healing of physical traumas, Wolverine's healing factor makes him extraordinarily resistant to diseases, drugs, and toxins. However, he still suffers the immediate effects of such substances; he has been shown to become intoxicated after significant dosages of alcoholic beverages,[36] and has been incapacitated on several occasions with drugs and poisons.[37] Although his body heals, the healing factor doesn't suppress the pain he endures while injured.[38]

Wolverine's mutation also consists of animal-like adaptations of his body, including pronounced canines and three retractable claws housed within each forearm. While originally depicted as bionic implants created by the Weapon X program,[39] the claws are later revealed to be a natural part of his body.[40] The claws are not made of keratin, as claws tend to be in the animal kingdom, but extremely dense bone, and can cut substances as durable as most metals, wood, and some varieties of stone.[41] Wolverine's hands do not have openings for the claws to move through: they cut through his flesh every time he extrudes them, with occasional references implying that he feels a moment of intense pain each and every time he does so.[42]

Wolverine's entire skeleton, including his claws, is molecularly infused with adamantium. Due to their coating, his claws can cut almost any known solid material. The only known exceptions are adamantium itself and Captain America's shield, which is composed of a Vibranium-Iron alloy, the only substance in the Marvel Universe known to be even more durable than adamantium (adamantium was an attempt to artificially mimic the alloy in Captain America's shield). Wolverine's ability to slice completely through a substance depends upon both the amount of force he can exert and the thickness of the substance. The adamantium also weights his blows, increasing the effectiveness of his offensive capabilities. However, this also makes him exceptionally susceptible to electrical and magnetic attacks.

This was a hard pick, because there were a lot of people I wanted to draft here and I have a feeling my pick would drop, but I have to make sure I get a GL. I'm picking the Ultimate Green Lantern:

Sodam Yat

http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/8809/yationxn7.jpg

He is a Daxamite, which means he has equivalent powers to a Kryptonian under a yellow sun like Superman, but is weak to Lead instead of Kryptonite.

That means along with a Green Lantern ring that is the most powerful weapon in the universe, he has:
-Super Strength/Hearing/Speed/Breath (whatever that means)
-X ray/Microscopic/Telescopic Vision
-Flight
-Heat vision

I would like to pick him with his ION powers, but I understand if that makes him too strong, even though he is still learning the ropes of wielding the power.

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/1/15297/681596-sodam_s_power.jpg

He has been shown to be fearless, going up against Superboy Prime by himself and holding his own for a while. He will be my heavy hitter, the tank of my team while also having the versatility granted by the GL ring.

He is also not afraid to use lethal force, unlike Superman:

With our next pick I'll take Black Bolt

http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x260/king784/300px-BlackBolt3.jpg

Black Bolt's powers are the result of electron manipulation. The speech center of his brain is linked to the control of his power so that vocal expression creates an extremely destructive electron disruption field. Through electron gathering and manipulation, the character can increase strength, speed, stamina, and durability - even channeling the power into a single punch called "The Master Blow". This act, however, leaves the character exhausted and must recover afterwards. Harnessing electrons for matter transformation, the controlled projection of energy as concussive blasts or quasi-solid particle/electron fields, broadcasting jamming frequencies and flight is also possible.

Black Bolt's most prominent offensive weapon is his voice, as his electron-harnessing ability is linked to the speech center of his brain. Speaking triggers a disturbance of the particle/electron interaction field: a word can level a city,[38] a shout can awaken distant volcanoes and cause tremors on a continent on the far side of the planet.[12] Due to the extreme danger posed by this power, the character has undergone rigorous mental training to prevent himself from uttering a sound, even in sleep. The fork-like antenna on Black Bolt's forehead allows more controlled use of his voice.

Black Bolt has the ability to unleash great destructive power through the use of his voice, but even the slightest whisper will release his power. Therefore, for the most part, he remains silent. This "quasi-sonic" scream is powered by electron energy that he draws in from the environment. At maximum the force is equal to that caused by the detonation of a nuclear weapon. Other possible manifestations of this harnessed electron energy include electron energy blasts, flight, enhanced strength (the "Master Blow" being a superhuman punch), ability to survive in space, and the ability to analyze and manipulate matter. The fork-shaped antenna that Black Bolt has worn upon his brow since childhood enable him to channel his powers in more directed, less destructive ways. Due to the fear of speaking while sleeping, Black Bolt practices a form of meditation, which may also help to enhance his abilities.[citation needed] One sound-generated attack was sufficient to instantly destroy both the Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange and the mightiest human being in the universe, the Sentry, on a parallel world. He has had thousands of years to practice and hone his sorcery, to an extent that it equals or may even surpass that of Dr. Strange. Although he is generally portraid as evil, most of that comes from his hatred of his adopted brother Thor. Otherwise, he has been known to fight alongside Asgardians against a common foe. He will make an excellent teamate as long as the team's goals fits his own.

http://www.immortalthor.net/limited_loki-1.jpg

Loki is a member of the race of Frost Giants of Jotunheim, although not a giant in stature. He possesses physical attributes equal to those of the race of superbeings known as Asgardians, such as enhanced strength; stamina (his Frost Giant metabolism grants him superhuman levels of physical stamina in practically all activities); durability (at times he imbues himself with magical abilities that enable him to withstand injuries that would prove fatal to another Asgardian, such as being beheaded) and immunity to all known diseases and toxins.

Loki has extensive training in the rites of black magic, and possesses the ability to manipulate great quantities of magical forces for a variety of purposes: energy projection, creation of force fields, temporarily increasing his own physical strength, grant superhuman abilities to living beings or inanimate objects, flight, hypnotism, illusion casting, and inter-dimensional teleportation. Apparently, Loki possesses some extrasensory abilities and is capable of astral projection and casting his thoughts across great distances, even across dimensional barriers. However, he cannot read the minds of other beings, though he can control their actions. He has been referred to as a master of magic with power exceeding Earth's Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange, armed with millennia of magical knowledge compared to Strange's decade.[27] Loki is also an adept shape-shifter with the ability to change both form (examples include transmogrification to a salmon, horse, etc.) and person, framing some heroes including Thor and Captain America. His shape-shifting ability does not necessarily include all the powers of other superhumans.

Loki is extremely difficult to harm or be killed. It is unknown how much of this is natural and how much stems from magical enhancement. He has proven resistant to the Controller's controller disk, immune to the mental influence of Voice, and immune to the power sapping abilities of Rogue. He has been able to break free of a Celestial device in the possession of Apocalypse. He was also totally unaffected from having his head severed, quickly reattaching it with no ill effects (though this was due to Thor using the Odinpower and the magic of the Runes).

Aside from his mystical abilities, Loki possesses a brilliant intellect. However, his passionate hatred of Thor, lust for power, and tendency to alienate others by his ignoble actions greatly impeded his ability to bring his well-laid plans to fruition. He is an expert manipulator and schemer.

Loki is sometimes armed with a sword and has made use of various magic items.

Powers
Loki possesses the normal strength of an Asgardian male of his age, height, and build. He can lift (press) about 30 tons.

Loki possesses the conventional attributes of an Asgardian, as well as certain innate magical powers. Like all Asgardians, Loki is extremely long-lived (though not immortal like the Olympians), superhumanly strong, immune to all diseases, and resistant to conventional injury. (Asgardian flesh and bone is about 3 times denser than similar human tissue, contributing to the Asgardian's superhuman strength and weight.) His Asgardian metabolism gives him superhuman endurance in all physical activities.

Besides these physical abilities, Loki possesses a host of magical skills. Among these is his ability to transform his shape at will into those of other creatures. He has become such animals as a snake, eagle, mouse, and bee, gaining the basic natural abilities inherent in each form. While he can take on the likeness of another god, giant, or human, he will not necessarily gain the special physical or mental powers of the being he imitates. Loki can also transform external objects into other forms and substances by magic; for instance, he can turn clouds into dragons. He can also bring inanimate objects to life, or mystically imbue objects or beings with specific but temporary powers. He has, for example, augmented the might of such human criminals as the Cobra and Sandu. These magical effects remain only for as long as he maintains the spell that created them.

Loki can project highly powerful concussive bolts of mystical energy. He can also create magical energy fields, which serve various purposes. With great concentration, Loki can create a field of sufficient resilience to repel Thor's enchanted hammer (though repeated blows would undoubtedly penetrate it) or physical objects such as large caliber projectiles. He can also surround objects in mystical energy to levitate them. He once lifted and supported an entire building off the ground for several minutes. He can also mystically levitate himself and thereby fly at great speed. As with his influence over matter, his magical energy feats only last as long as he maintains them.

Loki also has a number of mental and extrasensory powers, which are analogous to psionic abilities. He can broadcast his thoughts into other minds as well as plant compelling hypnotic suggestions. These telepathic abilities do not appear to be limited by distance: Loki can even cast his thoughts across dimensions. Loki cannot, however, perceive the thoughts of others. He does have certain extrasensory powers of perception, however, enabling him to see and hear events in distant places simultaneous to their occurrence. He can also mentally project an image of himself, in a manner not unlike astral projection, through which he can communicate with beings in other places.

Loki can also magically create rifts between dimensions, allowing him or other objects passage from one universe to another. Most often this rift is between Asgard and Earth.

Loki also has a vast knowledge of spells, which he can use for many magical effects. Loki has used his magic to enable him to endure injuries with little or no effect which would kill another Asgardian. He has even been beheaded, and yet he continued to live, magically reattached his head to his body, and was in the same condition as he was in before the beheading.

Abilities
Unrevealed

Weapons
Loki occasionally employs certain magical power objects, such as the Norn Stones or rare Asgardian herbs, to augment his own magical powers. These objects or substances are generally used to enhance his immediate personal strength or abilities, or to create a permanent magical transformation, such as that which gave the Absorbing Man his power. He once used the mystical sword of Surtur along with various equipment to transform Thor into a frog while Loki was in Asgard and Thor on Earth. The destruction of the engine drawing power from the sword caused Thor to return to his normal form.

Thanos

http://www.corvusonline.net/thanos/ThanosThrone.JPG

Thanos is a mutant member of the race of superhumans known as the Eternals, and possesses a wide range of abilities, some of which are common to the Titanian Eternals, and others of which have been acquired through bionic amplification, mysticism, and augmentation by Death itself. In addition to superior levels of superhuman strength, stamina, and particularly durability, Thanos has shown himself able to tap, transform, and direct enormous quantities of cosmic energy, and to use it to shield himself. The Titanian is also capable of matter manipulation, telekinesis, and resistance to powerful telepathic assaults. Thanos has demonstrated psionic abilities, including telepathy, the limits of which are as yet unknown. Thanos can also temporarily increase his powers by absorbing energy from an unknown source of quasi-mystical nature.

Thanos possesses a superhuman intellect, originally dedicated to the annihilation of life and the mastery of any technology/mysticism which would enable him to achieve this goal. He has vast knowledge of science, metaphysics, and the occult. He possesses technology that allows force field projection, time travel, movement through alternate dimensions, and teleportation over interstellar distances. He has used a throne-like chair capable of teleportation and faster-than-light travel, and once used the starship Sanctuary II as a base of operations. Thanos also trained his adopted daughter Gamora to become one of the universe's most adept female assassins.

Thanos once gained possession of the Cosmic Cube, and used it for his own purposes. He later possessed the Infinity Gauntlet which incorporated six Infinity Gems, each one of which granted him total mastery over six basic aspects of existence: Time, Space, Power, Mind, Reality, and Soul, making him virtually omnipotent.

Just The perfect Beast I needed to give my team some toughness. He also once killed Silver Surfer.

The Silver Surfer, long since Thanos' enemy, had come to believe that Death was seeking him out to be a new consort. The Surfer approached Thanos with this concern, but Thanos flew into a rage, attacking the Surfer and killing him. Although he appeared to offer the Surfer's body as a sacrifice, Thanos returned the Surfer to life as an insult. Death retaliated by declaring Thanos to be immortal and thus forever denied entering her realm.

Amazo

http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t259/sliverorbit906/jul25-1816562006.jpg

POWERS AND ABILITIES
Each version of Amazo has differences, but all utilize "absorption cells" to duplicate the powers of any metahuman encountered (not unlike Marvel's Super-Adaptoid). Originally, he could only use one power at a time and has duplicated Superman's strength, The Flash's speed, Green Lantern's power ring, and Wonder Woman's magic lasso among others, but also inherited the heroes' weaknesses in early appearances. In most cases, Amazo possesses a 'default' form consisting of the powers of the first five (post-Crisis) JLA members, capable of adapting to incorporate other powers. Amazo also appears to be able to copy physical objects as well, including Green Lantern's power ring, Wonder Woman's lasso, Hawkgirl's mace, and Batman's batarangs. In Justice League of America #23, Amazo shows the ability to copy Zatanna's ability to cast magic using reverse speech.

In the Justice League Unlimited episode "The Return", Amazo returns to Earth, having learned all that is offered from the universe. He plows through the entirety of all the Justice League members, even effortlessly pushing through Superman. Amazo displayed unequaled speed and strength and was able to shrink his body to the nanoscopic scale. He also was able to transport the planet Oa into a different dimension. Despite this, his powers are shown to have their limits, since he was unable to do anything to stop an empowered form of Solomon Grundy in a later episode (Grundy was absorbing all of Amazo's powers).

Vulcan first appeared in X-Men: Deadly Genesis #1 written by Ed Brubaker, a story which ran from January to July 2006

Powers and abilities

Vulcan is a mutant with the ability to manipulate limited amounts of energy. In addition to traditional energies of the electromagnetic spectrum Vulcan has displayed control over exotic energies such as Cyclops' optic blasts and magical energy.

He has used his powers to produce light, heat, force, and electricity, as well as warp or disable limited amounts/kinds of existing energy sources, tap into and suppress mutant energies, survive in the vacuum of space, and fly. Outside a planetary atmosphere his flight speed can even reach near the speed of light. He is able to go without food by directly absorbing energy for a long time. He can manipulate electricity within a person's brain.

He can also use the powers of others by manipulating the energy in their brain. When he uses his powers, his eyes glow. Emma Frost, Rachel Summers and Professor Xavier have confirmed him to be beyond an Omega-level mutant. However Omega-level already denotes unlimited potential, making "Beyond Omega level" redundant. He has been confirmed as an Omega-level mutant in Uncanny X-Men #483, his powers elevated to said level thanks to absorbing a massive amount of mutant

Well, I was going to pick Vulcan to go with Spider-Man's persona and Thor's God-like power, but instead I'll just have to settle with the Eternal Ikaris

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/8190/545224-etrnlsv2006_cov_large.jpg

As an Eternal, Ikaris possesses a number of powers far beyond those of normal humans, including:
Superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility, and reflexes.

Levitation of himself and/or others through mental control

Ikaris has the ability to manipulate cosmic energy, granting him virtual invulnerability and the ability to project cosmic energy from his eyes or hands in the form of heat, light, or concussive force. Like his entire race, extended usage will greatly deplete him.

Ikaris has total mental control over his physical form, granting virtual immortality, including immunity to disease and aging, and regenerative powers. Note: As long as the Celestial technology tasked with keeping him alive functions, Ikaris is given a new body when the old one is destroyed.

Limited psionic ability to manipulate matter at an atomic level; When a prime Eternal this ability is greatly enhanced

Limited psionic powers, including illusion casting, mind-reading, telepathy, and telekinesis;

Creation of force shields around himself and/or others;

Teleportation of himself and others, but finds it unpleasant.

Superhuman sensory perceptions, far greater than those of most Eternals.

Ikaris can basically do it all. Not only that, he's also suitable to lead my team.

Blackheart

http://www.cannonspike.com/CamFan/capcom/vs-games/mshvsf-blackheart.gif

Blackheart is a powerful demon of the highest order, created by Mephisto, probably from the essence of Darkforce. He possesses vast inherent supernatural powers, including superhuman strength, speed, and endurance which are magical in nature. He's totally invulnerable to anything except the most powerful forces in the universe. He also has telekinetic and telepathic powers, and can levitate, teleport inter-dimensionally, change his size and physical form, enter and leave different planes of existence and dimensions at will, heal himself at the sub-molecular level, and has the ability to generate various forms of energies for destructive purposes such as powerful concussive blasts of black energy. He also possesses very high intelligence that makes him near-omniscient. Unlike his father, he can capture a soul against the will of the person he is stealing it from. Blackheart has demonstrated the ability to control millions of minds at once while in Hell, as he is able to call forth armies from the pits. He has also shown his telekinetic powers by ripping an entire planet apart by the force of will. Blackheart is also able to control Darkforce Energy without any limits. He can teleport himself and others to the Darkforce Dimension where he is literally omnipotent and omniscient.

His ability to regenerate makes him virtually immortal. His powers are immense making him one of the most powerful demonic entities in Marvel Universe.

Adam Warlock

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/1/12592/281121-178707-adam-warlock_super.jpg

As Him, Warlock possessed superhuman strength, stamina, agility and the ability to manipulate cosmic energy to enhance physical strength, endurance, and powers of recuperation (capable of creating a cocoon around himself for self-preservation and regeneration). The energy could also be used for energy projection, flight, and to detect natural space-warps in order to traverse interstellar space. Once Him became Warlock and acquired the Soul Gem, he no longer used many of his cosmic-based abilities and often relied on the Gem's power in combat. The Soul Gem is host to the Paladin of the Soul Gem, and has been known to act in the interests of self-preservation by drawing the soul from Warlock's opponents.

Years later when reemerging from the Soul Gem, Warlock appeared to have enhanced abilities in terms of both his physical capabilities, cosmic awareness and capacity for metaphysical manipulations, such as his granting of enhanced strength to Gamora and Pip in their new bodies. Warlock can, however, now create forcefields around himself and others, manipulate metaphysical energy, travel faster than light and detect wormholes and other irregularities in space.

Doctor Fate:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/02/DrFateVol4No1.jpg

Doctor Fate possesses a variety of mystical powers. In general, even without wearing the Helmet of Nabu, the host can fly, is highly resistant to injury, has minor telekinesis, and has greater-than-human strength.
In all of his incarnations, Doctor Fate is an accomplished sorcerer, and at his most potent able to match most other wizards in the DC Universe.
In various incarnations, Fate can emit bolts of mystical energy, teleport across the universe, craft solid objects out of energy, and transform objects into other kinds of matter (transmutation). Prior to the events of the Crisis on Infinite Earths, he could travel between alternate Earths at will, one of a very few DC characters with this capability. The full limits of his magical skills are unknown, and have varied greatly from one incarnation to the next as well as depending on the needs of the story. For example, in Swamp Thing (vol. 2) #50 (July 1986), he slays the demon Abnegazar of the Demons Three with very little effort.

http://fc00.deviantart.com/fs29/f/2008/155/b/7/Hulk_vs_Juggernaut_by_Sidious_black.jpg

Powers and abilities

Juggernaut is a magical avatar of the supernatural entity Cyttorak; he gained superhuman powers through the transference of mystical energies from Cyttorak via a magical gemstone, the Ruby of Cyttorak. (Because of his association with the X-Men, Juggernaut is often mistakenly labeled a mutant.) The ruby bonds to his soul and alters his being, a scale of power rivaling that of Thor, and the Hulk.

The Juggernaut originally possessed superhuman strength that rivals that of Hercules.[17] He has slammed Thor through a stone wall [18], almost collapsed the X-Mansion accidentally on multiple occasions,[3][19] and knocked down a skyscraper.[20] In an incredibly weakened state, he has been strong enough to rip off and wield the entire corners of buildings as giant weapons.[21] At varied degrees of less than full strength, he has strangled Rogue with one hand while fighting off Colossus with the other,[4] and held his own against Prime.[22]

Besides giving him superhuman strength, the mystical energy of Cyttorak grants the Juggernaut completely inexhaustible stamina, and the ability to survive without food, water or oxygen. He possesses tremendous durability, and can further protect himself through a practically indestructible force-field. It has even withstood Thor's "god-blast",[23] which has been able to pierce the armour of a Celestial.[24] Juggernaut has likewise proven resistant to Wolverine's adamantium claws,[25] and the cosmic blasts of Stellaris.[26]

The Juggernaut has the mystical attribute of being physically unstoppable: Once in motion, virtually no obstacle or force is able to impede his movement.

Superman DNA

Hank Henshaw
http://notjustmovies.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/23034-cyborg-superman_400.jpg

Powers and abilities

Following his exposure to cosmic radiation and subsequent "death," Henshaw's consciousness survives in an electronic state, making him virtually indestructible as he can transfer his electronic consciousness into any nearby machine (and even some that are light years away). Henshaw is able to 'inhabit' any machine or technology and manipulate said devices as though they are living metal. He can animate machines, construct any technological device, and control any mechanical system. In addition, Henshaw's 'Cyborg' body possesses a various number of other mechanical sensors, and has the ability to interface with any machine. His technological components can transform into a myriad of weapons and tools - since his first appearance as the Cyborg Superman, Henshaw has consistently manifested his technical half in that manner.

Thanks to his interactions with Superman's birthing matrix, Henshaw possesses knowledge of both Superman's Kryptonian genetic code and Kryptonian technology. This information allows him to construct cyborg bodies with organic portions that are genetically identical to Superman and mechanical components built from Kryptonian (and later, Apokoliptian) alloys. Using Superman's genetic code gives the Cyborg access to all of Superman's powers, such as high levels of superhuman strength, speed, and durability; super acute senses; x-ray, heat/laser, and infrared vision; and ultrasonic hearing, including, Superman's vulnerability to kryptonite radiation, which appeared to weaken both the organic and technological components of Henshaw's body, while also preventing him from altering his body. However, even though his organic half might be mortally weakened by kryptonite, the mechanical components of his body will allow Henshaw to still function, albeit without any of his Kryptonian powers. He may be immune to Kryptonite radiation, as he seemed to suffer no ill effects when he fought a Kryptonite-poisoned Superman (who was also emitting the deadly radiation himself.)

In addition to the powers he has because of his Kryptonian-Cyborg body, he also has been shown wielding ten Qwardian power rings and as such has access to all the immense powers they bestow. Among these powers are energy and matter manipulation; they allowed Henshaw to overcome Superman handily during the Sinestro Corps War.

Finally, Henshaw seems to be able to alter his "natural" energy attacks to affect specific foes. He has been able to defeat both Superman and Eradicator with a single blast, on several occasions. Normally he uses a weapon crafted out of one of his arms, but when pressed, he merely uses his eye-beams: either only his mechanical one, or both his Kryptonian eye and cybernetic one simultaneously.

Doomsday:

From wiki

[QUOTE]Doomsday was created and evolved through cloning an infant and having it killed over and over again by one of the most dangerous species of the universe and in one of the harshest habitats in existence, prehistoric Krypton. As such, he returns to life and becomes resistant or immune to what killed him before. After the Radiant killed him the first time they fought, Doomsday grew immune to the former's energy-projection, and even managed to withstand Darkseid (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darkseid)'s full Omega-Effect.[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsday_%28comics%29#cite_note-SDHP-5) The amount of damage dealt to Doomsday determines the length of time it would take to fully recover. During his outwardly undamaged death at Superman's hands, he only needed some days to recover, but when Imperiex (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperiex) reduced him to a skeleton, it would take months.
Doomsday can also develop/evolve resistance from ordinary injuries. Superman once used a sound gun to greatly discomfort him, but Doomsday's auditory canals closed up, making him impervious to Superman's weapon.[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsday_%28comics%29#cite_note-SDHP-5) Waverider (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waverider_%28comics%29) once paralyzed Doomsday with chronal energy, but the second attempt backfired.[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsday_%28comics%29#cite_note-SDHP-5) In essence, Doomsday gradually turns more invulnerable if not injured beyond his ability to recover, which is so far undefined. Doomsday has also developed weapons and abilities that counters the powers of an opponent. He managed to cancel out the pure-energy Radiant by slamming into him, and greatly extend his claws and develop a poison to strike Superman in flight and reel him in,[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsday_%28comics%29#cite_note-SDHP-5) or breathe flames against the fire-sensitive Martian Manhunter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martian_Manhunter).[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsday_%28comics%29#cite_note-S.23175-6) Doomsday is covered by bony spurs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spur) providing protection to his few vital organs (brain, eyes, nervous system) and acting as weapons on his hands, elbows and knees.
Doomsday possesses extreme physical strength that possibly exceeds that of Superman, at one point enabling him to effortlessly stand his ground against the entire Justice League, including Superman and Orion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orion_%28comics%29).[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsday_%28comics%29#cite_note-TDW-7) He was able to break Superman's left arm with limited effort, as well as outmatch and beat Darkseid unconscious in physical combat.[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsday_%28comics%29#cite_note-SDHP-5)
Doomsday is immensely resistant to heat, cold, and conventional damage, allowing him to survive on the most inhospitable worlds, or in the vacuum of space. His durability apparently also considerably exceeds that of Superman, as he was able to withstand Darkseid

My first DC character I pick...Mongul II!!!! Although he is usually portrayed using his powers of super strength, flight, and now the power rings, his use of the black mercy may be his most dangerous. All he has to do is get within range of any enemy and they can be taken out of the fight with his "Black Mercy" plants. He is one of the most dangerous villains out there.

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_gWQaU40PH24/SXTss8KIi7I/AAAAAAAABCM/KOc23LuEiQI/s320/mongul.gif

Mongul II, his progeny, demonstrated his strength to be more powerful than that of his father, as he held his own against Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman in Infinite Crisis # 1 and killed his own sister with one blow in Green Lantern #9. Both incarnations of Mongul were also capable of projecting extremely potent energy beams from their chest.

Mongul often uses a parasitic plant-based life-form called the "Black Mercy" as a sort of weapon. This parasite has the ability to totally immerse a victim in a fantasy world. It does so simply by wrapping itself around the victim. These parasites have also demonstrated an unusual amount of durability at times; sometimes to the point where they appear to be nearly indestructible.

Since the aftermath of the Sinestro Corp War, Mongul II has obtained a Yellow Qwardian Power Ring, as such he now has all the powers that come with wielding such a weapon. He went on to kill at least 5 other Sinestro Corps members and has received a total of 6 Yellow Power Rings in total, making him a powerful threat. Recently in DC comics an advertisement has been seen with Mongul wearing green and yellow power rings with a red ring suspended over his outstretched hand with "Domination" printed below.

I'll follow my teammate's wishes and use our fourth round pick on Quasar

http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x260/king784/quasar.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk109/DRDOOMSDAY-360/marvel%20universe/111222-91115-quasar_super.jpg

Quasar's powers are derived from the pair of Quantum Bands fused to his wrists. Foremost amongst these powers is the ability to tap into a limitless source of potential energy called the Quantum Zone. Quasar can project quantum energy in the form of devastating beams of force or heat, but more commonly employs them to fashion incredibly durable constructs of solid energy in any shape he can visualize, such as containment spheres or pincers. Once they are formed he no longer has to concentrate on them to keep them intact. He protects himself with a personal force field of quantum energy.

The Quantum Bands can also exert control over many other types of energy that are part of the electromagnetic spectrum. He can siphon energy from virtually any power source. For example, Quasar once tapped into a sun and caused it to emit an enormous solar flare. He can also absorb and redirect the cosmic energy wielded by such powerful beings as the Silver Surfer, Jack of Hearts, Adam Warlock, Thanos, Phoenix and the Watchers, siphoning their power and using it to augment his quantum energy.

Although he cannot overtly affect psionic energy, Quasar has programmed his bands to render him impervious to protect his mind from psionic attack or takeover.

Gladiator KALLARK

Gladiator possesses a number of superhuman capabilities as a result of his unique alien physiology. He possesses superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, and reflexes, and is able to survive without breathing for an unrevealed period of time. The most powerful member of the Imperial Guard, Gladiator has performed feats such as lifting skyscrapers, staggering foes with heat vision said to burn hotter than the core of a sun, freezing them in place with frost breath, moving in space at hyper-speed and surviving supernovas. He has been described as capable of ripping planets from their orbits, and collapsing "the heart of stars" with his bare hands. Reed Richards theorized that Gladiator's powers were in part psionic,. This has been confirmed in later appearances. It has also been discovered that Gladiator is vulnerable to some forms of radiation.

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/77/258247-133233-exodus_super.jpg

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/1/10942/263146-85108-exodus_super.jpg

He is one of the top 5 most powerful telepaths in the Marvel Universe, having matched Xavier and X-man at times.

He also has the standard telepath arsenal includin astral projection, telekinesis and he also can teleport.

He can also heal and sometimes bring people back from life.

Once, when severely weakened, he acted as a "psionic vampire", absorbing and stealing psionic energy from those around him and using it to his own advantage to reenergize himself.

In the presence of the loyal Acolytes his powers have appeared to be greatly amplified. He showed himself capable of simultaneously:

1. Amplifying Genoshan mutates' hatred of humans
2. Crushing Genosha via a massive force field
3. Immobilizing Quicksilver, the Scarlet Witch, Crystal, and Jean Grey in another force field
4. Mentally resisting Professor X's telepathic control
5. Protecting himself from physical attacks
6. Dealing out damage to both the X-Men and the Avengers

He is also extremely durable, having lived since the 12th century.

Every team should have a telepath for communications/defensive purposes. Exodus also serves as a healer.

I don't think he will come in much conflict with my other members, even if Exodus has been portrayed as a villain. Exodus really is just fanatically dedicated to Magneto's cause, and he is not malevolent in nature. He would get behind my team's dedication to survival and winning the fight and will be a great team asset.

^^^ I'd hit that...:D

so would your team, making their powers worthless...

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/77/297676-45316-mystique_super.jpg

Mystique is a mutant shapeshifter with the ability to psionically shift the formation of her biological cells at will to change her appearance and thereby assume the form of other humans. She can also alter her voice to duplicate exactly that of another person. Originally, it was clearly stated that Mystique's powers were limited to appearances only; she could not assume the powers of the people she morphed into or alter her body to adapt to different situations. In addition, she could not change her overall body mass when taking on the appearance of a person larger or smaller than she is.

Her body is not limited to purely organic appearances. She has the ability to create the appearance of clothes out of her own body. Mystique was shown in at least one instance transforming a metallic part of her costume into a functioning blaster pistol. Whether this was a function of her powers or of the costume piece itself is unclear. She can transform part of her body into a separated, clear and hard substance that appears to be glass, as she does when she appears to be wearing glasses.

As a side effect of this power, her natural aging process has been suppressed (if not completely halted), as she has retained her youthful appearance despite being alive for over one hundred years.

This changed in 2001's X-Men Forever miniseries, in which Mystique was exposed to dangerous levels of radiation in order to save the life of Toad. The process morphed Mystique's appearance to match her more reptilian physique from the 2000's film trilogy, and boosted her powers so that she could now morph her body into taking certain desired physical traits depending on her situation at the time. Examples of this new ability include night vision, wings on her back, talons in her fingers, and natural body armor. She can even compress nearly two-dimensional like a sheet of paper to glide on air currents, similar to Mister Fantastic, which she uses to survive an explosion. She has moved her vital organs out of place in order to survive a gunshot to her torso. She has, once with strain, given herself two heads and four arms to facilitate a gun fight on two fronts, as well as shapshifted into herself as a child.

Damage to her biological tissue is known to heal at a relatively fast rate and she can form a resistance to poisons upon contracting them. Recently she has stated that her body mass is not fixed and can change when she does.[42] While she retained her advanced powers, she now appears in her old form without scales. Her powers grant her immunity to diseases, agelessness and enhanced agility.

Mystique is a cunning strategist in terrorist and commando operations, and adept at martial arts and information technology. She has a talent for finding, stealing and understanding cutting edge weaponry. She is a talented actress. She has some natural resistance to telepathic intrusion and wears devices to prevent her mind from being read by telepathy.

Johnny Blaze

http://comicsmedia.ign.com/comics/image/article/696/696551/ghost-rider-20060316115407191.jpg

http://www.comicbooknews.us/IMGs/GhostRider22Cover.jpg

http://blog.leatherup.com/wp-content/ghost_rider_1.jpg

^^^ fantastic art there...

The Ghost Rider is a human who can transform into a being with a flaming skull and supernatural powers. The motorcycles he rides can travel faster than conventional motorcycles and can perform such seemingly impossible feats such as riding up a vertical surface, across the surface of water and leaping across great distances that normal motorcycles could not match. The Ghost Riders are notoriously hard to injure by any conventional means, as bullets and knives usually pass through them without causing pain. The Ghost Riders possess superhuman strength, enough to easily pick up a motorcycle and hurl it across a room. It has been stated that Johnny Blaze as Ghost Rider can press around 5 tons (or more as seen in World War Hulk ).[3]

Each Ghost Rider entity also had abilities specific to him.

Johnny Blaze - Originally when Blaze transformed into Ghost Rider, his body changed but not the clothes he was wearing. In his new incarnation, this is different and his clothes take on a darker, more sinister appearance with a spiked leather jacket and chains. As Ghost Rider, he can cause his motorcycle to transform and surround itself with hellfire or he can create a new cycle from pure hellfire. He is also capable of projecting hellfire as a weapon. Hellfire "burns the soul" without leaving physical injuries on the victim and its effects have been seen as similar to the "Penance Stare."
In his new incarnation, Blaze is now possibly the most powerful hero on Earth. During "World War Hulk" it was stated by Dr. Stephen Strange that Ghost Rider was more powerful than the Hulk and could defeat him, but wouldn't because Ghost Rider only defended the innocent and the Illuminati wasn't innocent. Ghost Rider also has the "Penance Stare" and mystical chain, both of which were specific to the Danny Ketch Ghost Rider. He also now has new abilities including hellfire breath and the ability to produce chains from either his throat or chest. He is also now able to travel between the incorporeal realms.

Daniel Ketch - When Ketch transformed into Ghost Rider, his clothes changed with him, taking on the appearance of a spiked leather jacket with chains, gray leather pants and spiked gloves and boots. Likewise, his motorcycle underwent a radical transformation, changing from a conventional into a high-tech motorcycle (This transformation was not strictly limited to the motorcycle he found in the cemetery as he was once seen to be able to transform another cycle in "Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Hearts of Darkness"). Along with flaming wheels that allows the bike to nearly fly across surfaces, the bike included a shield-like battering ram on the front.
As the Ghost Rider, Ketch used a mystical chain which responded to his mental commands. It could grow in length, alter direction while in the air, stiffen into a staff or spear, and separate into several links which can strike like shrapnel and then return to their original form. Daniel's most famous power was the Penance Stare. By locking eyes with a target and mentally focusing, the Danny Ketch Ghost Rider was able to make the target experience all the pain they had ever inflicted on anyone else. This ability was seen to have little effect on some people who were mentally unstable (such as the being known as Madcap. Ghost Rider was also knocked out when attempting to use the Penance Stare on Carnage).

Originally, this incarnation of the Ghost Rider could only be summoned if Danny was present when "innocent blood was spilled" (an innocent simply being threatened was not enough), at which time Danny had to touch the gas cap of his motorcycle for the transformation process to occur. Later, he was able to summon the Ghost Rider without touching the gas cap, but still needed to wait for innocent blood to be spilled. Later still, he was able to summon the Ghost Rider by will.

I pick: Sue Storm "The Lady Knight of Light"

http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00337/jessica_337853a.jpg

Basically Sue Storm can manipulate energy and light in various (extremely deadly and efficient) ways.

She can bend light to make herself (and her teammates) invisible, giving my team a huge advantage in the field.

She can create forcefields that have cracked Celestial armor and withstood Thor's lightning.

Sue can shape her force fields into invisible 'constructs,' usually simple shapes such as barriers, columns, cones, cylinders, darts, discs, domes, platforms, rams, ramps, slides, and spheres, though in other situations she has created more complex shapes such as a sword and offensive grappling hooks.

She can kill almost anyone by creating little microscopic force bubbles in their brains and giving them an aneurysm.

Her force field generating ability makes the Invisible Woman (arguably) the most powerful member of the Fantastic Four and one of the most powerful Marvel characters, and their deadliest enemy Doctor Doom has commented on many occasions that Sue is the most dangerous of the foursome.

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/77/501292-invisible_woman_alex_miranda03_super.jpg

Sue is a great team player. Providing stealth when needed for my whole team, she and GL can make any construct needed for the situation, and can both provide some of my softer heroes (Batman) some much needed protection. She is also EXTREMELY lethal with her energy constructs. Another great team player, and the first female knight to enter the Knighthood.

In this manner he is able to quickly form a great variety of ice structures, including projectiles, shields, ladders, baseball bats, etc. He often makes ice slides which form rapidly beneath and behind his feet, pushing him along the slick surface at high speeds. Originally, Iceman's own body temperature would lower dramatically when his powers were active, reaching −105

Jen Walters aka She Hulk

Like her cousin, Jennifer possesses great strength, durability, endurance and a healing factor. Unlike her cousin, she almost always retains her full intelligence and personality as She-Hulk. She is also able to switch from She-Hulk to Jennifer Walters, but does not always have control of her transformation. In the past, Jennifer's inability to switch forms was due to a psychological block. Jennifer has learned a Ovid body-switching technique, but rarely uses it.

Cassandra Nova

http://bluwiki.com/images/6/68/Cassandra-nova.jpg

A telepath comparable to the likes of Charles Xavier, Jean Grey, and Emma Frost.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/0/05/Newxmen121.jpg/250px-Newxmen121.jpg

The mummudrai are usually forced to fight with the mind of their host over a body. However, given the vast potential in Xavier's genome, Cassandra Nova was able to build her own body, mimicking human traits as best she can. Cassandra Nova is able to access the full spectrum of latent mutant functions in Xavier's genome (she seemingly has the powers of Charles Xavier, the ones he could have and the ones he might receive as a result of latent mutation), granting herself vast psionic powers[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassandra_Nova#cite_note-5). These powers include telepathy, telekinesis and a phasing ability. She was able to block the considerable telepathic abilities of Charles Xavier, create psionic armor, disintegrate the complete tissue of Wolverine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolverine_%28comics%29)'s arm and make her body completely intangible to an extent that even allowed her to withstand a direct blast from Cyclops (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclops_%28comics%29)[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassandra_Nova#cite_note-6). She has all the powers of the "average" mummudrai as well, which are astral projection and mental possession. Her telepathic capabilities are so advanced that she was able to hide her possession of Charles Xavier's body over quite some time despite directly interacting with considerable telepaths like Jean Grey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_Grey), Emma Frost (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emma_Frost) and the Stepford Cuckoos (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stepford_Cuckoos) at the same time. Cassandra can also manipulate the DNA she has copied to act as a rapid healing factor or to mimic the voice and DNA of others.

First using her DNA copying ability, she mimics Donald Trask III, a relative of Bolivar Trask (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolivar_Trask), so that she can voice command the Sentinels, who obey the Trask family line, to attack Genosha.[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassandra_Nova#cite_note-7) |

http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x260/king784/200px-Faith_the_Fat_Lady_01.jpg

Faith was a female hero with tremendous psychic powers. She was often nicknamed by her teammates “the Fat Lady”, a reference to the line, “its not over until the fat lady sings’. When Faith was required in the combat zone, it truly was over.

Powers

Her powers are psychokinetic and telepathic in nature.

Telepathy: ability to read minds of others and project thoughts. Also allowing from telepathic communication between two or more individuals over vast differences.

Psychic Blast: She has used psychic energy as a projectile.

Aura of Confidence: Batman has long noted her ability to create an aura of trust and confidence within the people around her, allowing a group to work together easily.
This may be her most vital asset to our team. With this ability, Faith will unify our team under the leadership of Cap allowing them to reach their full potential as a single unit.

Psychokinesis: She has shown the power to levitate both enemies and inanimate objects. The limits of her powers are unknown, but she has been seen raising entire skyscrapers when needed and she once destroyed an entire fleet of alien space ships (though the effort left her exhausted).

Flight: ability to propel herself through the air unaided by telekinesis

Teleportation: ability to teleport entire groups of people by telekinetically moving them between two points in space.

[QUOTE]] Powers and abilities

Cyclops has the power to emit beams of energy from his eyes. Although the beams have the appearance of red light (i.e., electromagnetic radiation in a red wavelength), they do not heat objects but instead deliver tremendous concussive force. Some accounts describe Cyclops' eye beams as the product of his body metabolizing sunlight and other ambient energy (much as his brother Havok metabolizes cosmic radiation) and releasing this energy in the form of beams (hence in some stories Cyclops depletes his body's energy reserves and needs to recharge through exposure to sunlight). Other accounts suggest that Cyclops' eyes may contain apertures to another dimension, releasing powerful energies from that dimension into his own in the form of beams. Whatever their exact source, these beams or 'optic blasts' are tremendously powerful, able to rupture steel plates and pulverize rock. Depending on the amount of energy channeled, the beams can be released in various widths, appearing in enormous bursts on rare occasions. They have been observed to level a skyscraper, or can be focused tight enough to punch a pin hole in a dime. Cyclops' beams have also been demonstrated to reflect off certain shiny surfaces; in concert with Cyclops' intuitive sense of spatial geometry, this reflective quality of his beams allows him to bounce the beams off many different surfaces in rapid succession so as to strike a desired target from an unexpected angle. Summers is immune to the harmful effects of his own powers

Powers and abilities
Sinestro wields a yellow power ring that has powers comparable to that of a Green Lantern's ring (creation of yellow constructs, space flight, etc.). Built on Qward, it is powered by the emotional energy of fear, and its wielder must be an expert in inspiring and manipulating fear to use it. The yellow rings are charged by Manhunter androids that have yellow power batteries built into themselves, which in turn are connected to a large yellow Power Battery based on Qward. The rings have only one known weakness - The energy of the Blue Lantern's ring can drain its power, much like a Green Lantern power ring's previous weakness against yellow. Also, the yellow rings are not restricted from killing sentient beings as the Green Lantern's power rings were.

Powers and abilities

Cable was born with telepathic and telekinetic abilities, however, the extent to which he has been able to utilize these powers have varied dramatically throughout his appearances. Originally both were limited by his need to restrain his techno-organic infection and his powers were negligible compared to his more traditional fighting skills. However, following the subsidence of the infection they gradually increased to the point where they were similar in magnitude to those of Nate Grey, whom he is genetically identical to. At their height, he demonstrated the ability to simultaneously levitate the floating city of Providence and combat the Silver Surfer.[17]. Following that story, his powers were burnt out and he replaced both with technological substitutes. Later he states that both his telepathy and telekinesis have faded to nothing.[18]

During Messiah War, during the fight with his clone, Stryfe, Cable demonstrates the ability to hide others from Stryfe's mental view, implying that at least he retains some of his telepathic powers, whether he retains any telekinetic powers remains to be seen.[19]

His techno-organic body parts possess enhanced strength and durability, and his techno-organic eye gives him enhanced eyesight, allowing him to see further than a normal human and in the infrared spectrum. He is also able to interface his techno-organic body parts with machinery, using them to hack into computers, open electronic locks, and travel through time.

After Roma resurrected her, Betsy was briefly invisible to all mechanical detection devices. She could generate a "psychic knife" to stun or kill opponents. The Crimson Dawn gave her the power to travel via shadows, and to become virtually invisible in same. My 5th pick will be Proteus:

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/77/79721-195956-proteus_large.jpg

Proteus is a mutant that possesses a vast psionic ability to manipulate and alter reality. He existed in a state of pure psionic energy and could take possession of human bodies that his energies eventually "burned" out, killing them (including his own original body). Proteus also possessed telepathic abilities. His reality manipulation powers allow him to transmute matter and bend the laws of physics according to his imagination within a certain distance. Using this power he can easily turn a building into liquid, turn a vehicle into bees that attack at his mental command, transform energy into matter, manipulate weather, or strip a person of their mutant powers. He often reverses local gravity, opens fissures in the earth, and stretches people painfully into liquid shapes (they return to normal when he no longer concentrates on manipulating their bodies). Use of this ability tends to speed up the rate at which his body will burn out.

Proteus can enter and completely possess another living being. Only beings with metal in their bodies appear to be immune. The bodies of most beings burn out within hours or a few days, although a few have been known to last longer. Proteus could leave a body before it is destroyed, but he usually does not. No possessed person has been shown able to resist or break free of Proteus' domination. Proteus has access to all the memories of his host while he possesses them and after he has left the body. Proteus has occasionally exhibited some telepathy, perfect recall, and the ability to mentally download computer information.

http://www.killahbeez.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/gambit-1-500x329.png
Had to go with my favourite comic book character ever at some stage.

Gambit is a mutant whose primary ability is the manipulation of potential or kinetic energy. This is manifested both internally and externally, energy charges his body giving him greater strength, stamina, and agility than any non-powered human, as well as being able to charge matter resulting in the violent and powerful explosion of said matter through touch. The objects that he charges explode with a force somewhat proportional to the size of the object, though a playing card is as powerful as a hand grenade in Gambit's hands. Gambit has the ability to charge living as well as non living matter, though this ability is the source of much controversy in Gambit's life as well as the continuity and nature of the character. He almost never charges organic matter. Gambit is skilled in card throwing with great accuracy, and all aspects of thievery. One of his trademark tricks is to hurl playing cards at an opponent, charging each card and turning it into a deadly projectile.

Gambit customarily wears a suit of highly articulated light body armor and his weapon of choice is a telescopic metal staff. He is extensively trained in martial arts, particularly French kick-boxing or savate, which coupled with his Thieves Guild training and natural mutant abilities, makes him a superhuman combatant. He is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant, utilizing street-fighting techniques and acrobatics.

In his youth, Gambit was able to control all forms of kinetic energy, allowing him to charge all matter within his line of sight by mere thought alone, but his failure to control it caused him to turn to Mister Sinister. Sinister excised the portion of his brain stem responsible for his full mutant powers. Later, he returned to Sinister while he was in Victorian England, and had his grey matter surgically reimplanted, restoring his abilities to their full potential (which enabled him to return to the present day by transforming himself into living energy which joined with the kinetic flow of the timestream itself) until he burnt them out while fighting the New Sun. However, Sage then jump started his powers twice, first, when the XSE rejoined the X-Men and second, when she helped him heal his blinded eyes. It was later revealed that he had regained his ability to charge even organic and animated matter when he directly powered the kinetic-absorbing Sebastian Shaw with biokinetic energies in order to be able to destroy the Cronus machine of Mister Sinister.

While blinded for a period of time, it was shown that Gambit had the ability to foresee future events using his playing cards through tarot reading.

After Sage helped restore his vision, possibly by unlocking the further stages of his own mutation so that he could heal himself (by biokinetically stimulating his own cellular activity) as he did once (when he was speared through the chest in the Assassination Game), he has yet to demonstrate this ability again.

As the Horseman Death, Gambit showed the ability to convert inert materials into toxic substances, such as transforming breathable air into poisonous gases and also potentially the ability to ingest diseases and plagues similar to one of Pestilence's (Polaris') powers. He did not show his Death/Gambit powers in his reappearance as a member of Sinister's Marauders.

Gambit is fluent in various languages, primarily English and Cajun French, which he uses most often.

I'm going with Morph:

http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/marveldatabase/images/9/95/AoA_Morph.jpg

Morph's mutation to shape-shift has also made it so that his body is a Play-doh-like substance and he can reattach limbs after they have been severed. It has been stated that his body is composed of unstable molecules[citation needed]. He has also stated that his mutation gives him a high metabolism and makes him very hormonal[citation needed]. In one issue[volume & issue needed], Sasquatch said she was never able to detect a scent on Morph; Sabretooth stated the same while hunting Proteus in Morph's body, noting how, in a crowd of "normal" people, Morph stands out like a sore thumb to Sabretooth's enhanced senses, whatever the form the shape-shifter takes[volume & issue needed]. It also appears he has the ability to fly as demonstrated in Exiles #27. Due to his shapeshifting ability he does not wear any actual clothing, and he takes joy in pointing this out.

Even though Morph is a prankster who plays down his intelligence, he is actually deceptively smart. He has a Master's degree in computer engineering, which he earned at Xavier's Institute.

Upon choosing to work together and share his body with the energy mutant Proteus, Morph's powers appear to be amplified, at least enough to defeat a self-proclaimed god[volume & issue needed]. Whether the two have access to Proteus' reality changing abilities has yet to be determined.

Alone Morph isn't a powerhouse level character, but with the option of teaming him up with Proteus makes them/him extremely dangerous. The combination gives Proteus a consistent body to occupy while also increasing Morph's powers.

Oh, and I always loved his character with the X-Men. His laid-back temper, intelligence and sense of humor will be a welcome addition to my team.

Skipping HotSizzle...

I'm gonna go with Carnage

Powers and abilities
Main article: Symbiote

The alien symbiote endows Cletus Kasady with enhanced physical strength greater than that of Spider-Man and Venom combined[16] and shapeshifting abilities, project a web-like substance from any part of his body including the formation of a variety of weapons, and plant thoughts into a person's head using a symbiote tendril. Much like Spider-Man, Kasady has the ability to cling to virtually any surface. He can rapidly crawl, walk, or run across even slick surfaces. He is able to rapidly regenerate damaged bodily tissues much faster and more extensively than an ordinary human. It isn't known, however, if he can fully regenerate severed limbs or missing internal organs. Kasady is also immune to the effects of all Earthly diseases and infections as long as he remains bonded with the symbiote. For instance, Kasady's body itself is riddled with cancer, yet the presence of the symbiote negates any effects the cancer would normally have. Like Venom, the symbiote is vulnerable to intense sounds and heat, and is undetectable to Spider-Man's spider-sense. Unlike Venom, Carnage can launch parts of his symbiote at enemies in the form of weapons such as spears, knives, axes, etc., although they disintegrate into dust within seconds of leaving Carnage's body.[volume*&*issue*needed] Venom's costume cannot replenish itself and is a definite mass while Carnage is constantly forming new molecules.[volume*&*issue*needed] Carnage's symbiote is vampiric, feeding on and thus endangering his victims by mere touch,[17] and also has the power to "see" from any part of itself and relay the visual information to Kasady.[18] During the 'Maximum Carnage' storyline, Carnage reveals that his symbiote has developed an immunity to sonic attacks. It still retains a vulnerability to heat

He might not fit well with my team... but will let the beast out of the cage when the $hit hits the fan.

Mister Sinister possesses a vaguely defined set of powers due to experimentation by Apocalypse and having copied mutant genes into his own body, including enhanced strength, speed, durability and longevity, energy blasts and teleportation. Sinister has formidable mental powers; Exodus once referred to him as one of the five most skilled telepaths he knew of. He also seems to be in possession of some telekinetic abilities he utilizes for levitation. His malleable form grants him almost complete immunity to pain including a pseudo-healing factor and the ability to change his appearance and shape.

He is also a scientific genius, with expertise in genetics, cloning and engineering.

Im gonna go with Firestorm. His can transform any inorganic matter into whatever else he wants. This is going to be huge when fighting guys like Ion and Superman. Everything around them will be turned into kryptonite or lead

http://www.catskillcomics.com/fleming/firestorm2.jpg

http://mightygodking.com/images/whoswho/firestorm.jpg

Firestorm has the ability to rearrange the atomic and subatomic structure of matter, rearranging subatomic particles to create objects of different atomic characteristics of equal mass. He can not only change the atomic composition of an object (e.g., transmuting lead into gold of equal mass) but he can also change its shape. He cannot, however, affect organic matter. If he does there may be painful, even lethal, feedback. This organic limitation does not extend to his person as he can change himself at will, allowing him to regenerate tissue, to shapeshift, and to survive indefinitely without food, water and air. Much like a Green Lantern's limitations, Firestorm can only create items the "driver" of the Firestorm matrix is able to understand the workings of. Unlike a Green Lantern's creations, Firestorm's alterations are permanent unless he reverses them.

I will use our sixth round pick to draft our final powerhouse character in the master combatant Orion, son of Darkseid

http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb88/varone04/Death%20of%20Darkseid/1.jpg

Orion possesses superhuman strength, speed, stamina and durability, on par with his father Darkseid [4], as well as with Superman [5]. He has access to a Mother Box that can calm his temper and temporarily change his appearance. In addition, Orion also possesses a regenerative healing factor, and is able to call upon his Mother Box to assist in healing injuries or to sustain his life energies. Like all other New Gods, Orion is vulnerable to a substance called Radion. The "Astro-Harness" is an alien artifact of unknown origin, capable of self-repair; flight; energy projection and absorption; force field generation; and possesses a tractor beam. Orion's wristbands are also virtually indestructible.[6]

Orion also is able to harness an interdimensional energy called the "Astro Force". While Orion himself is a conduit for the Astro Force, he can use either the Astro Harness or his wristbands as a valve through which he can project this energy . He uses the Astro Force primarily as a weapon, but once he was shown to be able to use the Astro Force to create an energy shield powerful enough to deflect Darkseid's "Omega Effect".[7]

[QUOTE]Gallante is a mutant with the psionic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psionic) ability to tap into the dimension of the Darkforce (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darkforce), an energy based on darkness. So powerful is his access that Gallante was able to open a rift the size of Manhattan between his dimension and the Darkforce's. Although initially Gallante could not consciously control the Darkforce he released, it would often act as a part of his subconscious desire, such as flooding and destroying the world or releasing the dark impulses of others. He could surround himself in Darkforce, creating a separate, giant-sized body, and could manipulate masses of Darkforce as he desired, creating shapes, tendrils, and blasts of energy. After regaining some control over his abilities, Gallante could even teleport himself and others by using his body as a portal to the Darkforce Dimension. Once inside the dimension, Gallante

Vapid picks Beta Ray Bill

http://www.marvel.com/universe3zx/images/thumb/3/3b/Beta_ray_bill.jpg/440px-Beta_ray_bill.jpg

Powers
Beta has obtained powers and physical attributes similar to Thor, augmenting his already powerful cyborg body. He is very strong, nearly invulnerable, immune to disease, and is virtually immortal. He can also use Stormbreaker to fly, manipulate weather, absorb and channel various energies, and as a detector. He can also turn into his pre-cyborg Korbinite form, or currently to Simon Walters by stamping the hammer, which then turns into a cane.

Abilities
Korbinites excel in hot climates. Beta is a very skilled and fierce warrior, and is able to detect the other Korbinites regardless of their location.

Weapons
Stormbreaker, which has similar properties to Mjolnir that he also has occasionally used.

Paraphernalia
Skuttlebutt, a sentient warship, and armor of Asgardian design including a helmet.

Team D13 replaces it's Sinestro pick with

Bishop
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3257/2346116542_69c23de820_b.jpg

After Bishops "heal" turn against the X-Men we feel he is a valuable asset to our team

Powers and Abilities
Bishop's mutant ability enables him to absorb all forms of radiant or conductive energy that are directed towards him and to release that energy from his hands. This power is passive, allowing Bishop to absorb energy at all times.

When he releases the energy, he can release it as many different forms, usually in concussive blasts of biokinetic energy, even amplified compared to the absorbed amount. Bishop can also store absorbed energy within his personal reserves, whereupon the energy increases his strength and recuperative abilities, as well as affording him a measure of invulnerability. He is also able to absorb magic energy (as seen when fighting "growing men" in Limbo) and the psychic energies of psionics as easily as all the other kinds. However, this does not prevent him from being read or manipulated by a telepath but only sustains him and helps him to slow them down. It has been clearly stated that Bishop is also able to absorb and process kinetic energy similarly to Sebastian Shaw, but in a much less effective way.

His powers make it difficult to harm him with energy-based attacks; however, he can become overloaded from absorbing too much energy, though his upper limits are unknown, even to himself. He is, however, partially vulnerable to non-energy weapon attacks. If he were to be shot by a projectile weapon or hit with a crowbar, it could harm him. He carries guns that fire laser beams and plasma charges, and through which he can channel his personal energies.

He can "let his spirit go" as seen in X-Treme X-Men Annual #1. It's unknown if this is a mutant talent, or an ability taught to Bishop sometime in his life.

He has also demonstrated the ability of instinctively knowing where he is and the present hour and date even if asleep, first mentioned in X-Treme X-Men #1. Although being the great-grandson of Gateway, a mutant possessing extensive dealings with time travel, this aspect is not one of Bishop's mutant powers. Bishop's explanation is that due to training, he knows where he is at all times.

Bishop is a highly athletic man, an excellent hand-to-hand combatant with many years of armed and unarmed combat training, and a superb marksman with firearms. When he first came to the modern era, Bishop carried XSE guns from his time that fired laser beams and plasma charges. He also wore his XSE uniform, modeled after X-Men uniforms, which contained body armor.

His current right arm is a prosthetic, stolen from Forge. A nuclear powered battle ready arm, incorporates in its design a time-travel device and enhanced strength and resilience

Sinestro is now back on the availability block

I'll take Spawn

http://images.epilogue.net/users/aleksi/AleksiSpawnSimony.jpg

Spawn's body is quite dense, weighing over four hundred pounds, and is composed completely of necroplasm. This gives him super strength and durability. While he still has internal organs, they are non-functional, and their damage/destruction does not hinder Spawn in the least. These organs re-appear when he magically regenerates his wounds. This may be due to Spawn's inability to let go of his human self, retaining his human organs even though he no longer requires them.

Spawn wears a living symbiotic costume. His cape, spikes, chains, and skulls are all part of one organism that will protect Spawn even if he is unconscious. Violator once said the suits feed on souls. The true source of the costume is the necroplasm in Spawn's body, which it feeds off of. It is possible for Spawn to draw this energy back when he needs it, using it to power his abilities without draining his own reserves. The costume can also feed off evil energy from the physical world, feeding off the ambient evil of people, animals (mainly carrion insects, but also wolves and bats) and even certain parts of the city.

Spawn has vast magical powers. In the issues before issue #50, Spawn had a limited power supply or "9999". Each time Spawn used his energy, the counter would drain. Because of this reason, he relied primarily on his costume's natural abilities in fights. Other than the counter, the only limit was Spawn's imagination. Though he always tried not to expend a lot of magic, he has been shown using it for a variety of effects including resurrecting the dead, firing blasts of necroplasmic energy, teleportation, shapeshifting, and curing the sick.

Spawn has an ability to "feel" or "sense" misery. He is aware, even subconsciously when someone is attacked or murdered. Spawn typically travels in the shadows, even "flying" on occasion. He is often described as notoriously difficult to spot, often only caught out of the corner of one's eye as just a streak of red (his cape).

Marvel Girl (Rachel Summers)

Marvel Girl is a mutant with virtually unlimited telepathic powers, allowing her to read minds, project her thoughts into other minds, stun the minds of others with telepathic mental bolts, and cast psionic illusions such as those she uses to mask her facial tattoos. Marvel Girl also possesses telekinetic powers that allow her to levitate matter. By levitating herself, Marvel Girl can "fly" at great speed. The upper limits of her telepathic and telekinetic powers are not known.

Marvel Girl also possesses the psionic ability to project her own consciousness or those of others into the timestream, causing them to arrive in another time period within the body of their divergent counterpart or closest living ancestor or descendant.

Marvel Girl's past link with the Phoenix Force gave her even greater psionic abilities, such as being able to manipulate time, space, matter, and energy for virtually any purpose. TEAM ~primetime~ selects:

Leech

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/42/X198leech.jpg

alright, now this character probably does need to be explained...

here is a short summary:

Leech can dampen or completely negate for an undetermined amount of time the powers of any mutants in close proximity to him. He also seems to be able to influence powers that are non-mutant in origin. For example, during Marvel's Mutant Massacre crossover event, Leech negated the powers of the superhero team Power Pack whose abilities were bestowed on them by an extraterrestrial.[2]

His dampening ability in the beginning was involuntary and uncontrollable, but now his power appears to be under his conscious control. In addition to leaving his victims temporarily de-powered, his leeching can have physical effects. For example, at certain times when his power has been targeted at mutants with super strength, his victims have become temporarily thin and frail. Leech has also shown the ability to manifest a weakened version of a mutant power his power is directed towards.

His powers stem from his Human/Atlantean physiology.

Amphibious Physiological Adaptation: Namor's body is specially developed for underwater conditions, granting him specialized blood circulation to withstand freezing temperatures and highly developed vision to see clearly even in murky ocean depths. This hybrid physiology means he can survive indefinitely underwater or on land, though he would still need occasional contact with water to survive.

Possesses superhuman strength (has taken down Hulk and went head to head against thor), superhuman speed (best underwater), superhuman agility, superhuman durability/stamina. He can also fly, absorb certain levels of radiation and has aquatic telepathic ability.

War Machine
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/bf/IROMcover33F.jpg

Skills

Rhodes was trained as an aircraft pilot and studied aviation engineering while in service with the United States Marine Corps. He is exceptionally skilled in both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft operation/maintenance and has piloted various aircraft at Stark Enterprises. Due to his Marine Corps training, Rhodes is an experienced soldier and formidable fighter skilled in the use of military weaponry such as small arms and a variety of unarmed combat techniques. In addition to being an accomplished pilot, engineer, soldier, and businessman, Rhodes derives multiple abilities from various hi-tech armors, either designed by Stark Industries or extraterrestrial in nature. With his years of experience with both the Iron Man and War Machine powered armors, Rhodes is skilled in armored combat and uses a more physical fighting style compared to Stark.

Armors

[edit] War Machine Armor (Variable Threat Response Battle Suit Mark II, Model JRXL-1000)
Main article: Iron Man's armor#War Machine

The original "Variable Threat Response Battle Suit, Mark I" is a solar charged carbon-composite-based steel mesh armor which provides its user with superhuman strength and durability. Stark gave Rhodes a modified version of the armor, Mark II Model JRXL-1000, created just for him with the inclusion of repulsors in the armor's gauntlets and a multifunctional unibeam projector in the chest. The armor has an improved tactical computer system with automatic targeting and could be modified in the field with various modular weapons. Additional weapons included pulse bolt generators, retractable shoulder minigun, double-barreled cannon, gauntlet mounted flamethrower, plasma blade in the left gauntlet, micro-rocket launcher, particle beam discharger, and an electromagnetic pulse generator in the unibeam projector that could shut down any electronic device in a 50 mile radius. The battlesuit also includes a force shield, forcefield-based stealth technology, boot-jet propulsion, and self-contained breathing system. The second version of the armor, reconfigured by Stark, contained upgraded improvements such as heat seeking missile launchers, pulse cannon, and retractable weapon pods located on his back. Rhodes also utilized types of non-lethal weapons such as rubber bullets. Though Rhodes lost the original armor, he still possessed a functional prototype helmet and gauntlet.

[edit] Eidolon Warwear

The armor is of alien origins and provides the user with superhuman strength and durability. It can be concealed inside a "mandala" or tattoo-like mark on Rhodes' chest. The left arm is capable of firing destructive energy blasts, while the right arm is able to morph into a blade. The armor has Drone Remotes, which can "unskin." The remotes are capable of discharging various types of energy, infiltrating various electronic/computer systems, creating energy fields, and completing basic tasks. The armor can morph into "full battle mode," which provides unspecified enhancement to both the armor and user. It was also capable of space travel with a unlimited life support system. During battle, the armor would have the strange ability to "sing" alien war songs.

Sentinel Armor

When Rhodes led Sentinel Squad O*N*E, he utilized an armor that was similar to the design of previous Iron Man powered armors and was based on the primary Sentinel piloted armors that the squad used in combat. The armor was derived of S.H.I.E.L.D. technology and Stark technology design upgrades. Rhodes also piloted a larger advanced Sentinel model codenamed "War Machine". The armors were constructed of a unique mix of steel and fiberglass based on a formula developed by Reed Richards and contained many offensive and defensive improvements in weaponry and enhancements.

Stanetech Based War Machine Armor

This version of the War Machine armor shows all the abilities of the previous iterations with repulsor technology, customizable cannons, personal force field, and bleeding edge military ballistics and weaponry. Unlike the previous War Machine armors, the unibeam projector is retractable and located in the abdomen instead of the chest. Rhodes sustained several fatal injuries requiring an added life support system with cybernetic implants in place of his limbs and parts of his face. The War Machine armor's design incorporates advanced cyberware and several components derived from Obadiah Stane's reverse engineering of older Iron Man armor that makes him immune to any Starktech based systems attack. The armor's computer displays can be projected due to holographic generators and the armor's systems are operated via a cybernetic link to Rhodes himself. The armor is composed of alloys such as titanium and Wakandan vibranium, coated for stealth capabilities, and can be sealed for space and underwater travel. Armaments include sonic generators, pulse bolts, and miniguns. Besides being independent of all outside systems, the armor can interface with any system and has cybernetic interlocking capabilities that can integrate mechanical constructs to repair and upgrade the armor.

Lobo

http://api.ning.com/files/ToGhWan8nzuFzjwu7ytv3U51yv4Z9567MlBMWeWRqMYlHht-9xGGLpTrE5FEt7VKPL8vyKrwJDHipKTLQvqW3yHrPSKSQ/lobo03.jpghttp://www.narcomics.net/sketchcards/lobo_inks.jpg

Lobo possesses extraordinary strength of undefined limits. His strength, much like his other powers, varies greatly depending upon different artistic interpretations of various comic book writers. In some instances, he is depicted as being barely stronger than a human while, in others, he demonstrates physical strength on a similar level as Superman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superman). Lobo also possesses superhuman durability, which varies greatly as well. Lobo is depicted, in some situations, as being injured by conventional bullets while, in other situations, he has the physical resiliency to stand toe to toe with Superman, survive unprotected in deep space, and withstand powerful explosive blasts without sustaining injury. He has displayed particular susceptibility to gaseous chemicals.

If Lobo sustains injury, his accelerated healing factor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Healing_factor) enables him to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue with superhuman speed and efficiency, and little apparent pain. Lobo also is functionally immortal. He is immune to the effects of aging and disease and he has been banned from entering either Heaven or Hell. As such, even though he can sustain sufficient injury to be out of commission for quite some time, he will apparently heal from any injury, given sufficient time. For instance, Lobo can regenerate out of a pool of his own blood, apparently recycling the cells.[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lobo_%28DC_Comics%29#cite_note-1) At one time, Lobo could grow a copy of himself, possessing all of his skills and powers, out of every drop of his blood that was spilled. This power, however, was removed by Vril Dox (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vril_Dox), during Lobo's time with L.E.G.I.O.N. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L.E.G.I.O.N.)

Lobo possesses an amazingly developed sense of smell, which allows him to track objects between solar systems, as well as a separate tracking ability enabling him to track an individual across galactic distances.
Lobo is a formidable combatant with expertise in multiple forms of armed and unarmed combat. His favorite weapon is a large chain he keeps wrapped around his right wrist with a large gutting hook connected at the end, which he typically uses in hand to hand combat. At times, he also uses high-grade explosives and advanced firearms.

Despite his violent and loutish nature, Lobo seems to have a genius-level intellect in matters of destruction and violence. He can create complex virulent agents and the necessary antidotes to them such as the one he let loose on Czarnia, resulting in the deaths of the entire population in the span of one week.

It is not fully known the extent to which his powers are common for his race or unique to him. In the miniseries The Last Czarnian and elsewhere, it is stated that the cloning and healing abilities are traits possessed by all Czarnians, as is the apparent ability to survive in the vacuum of space.

To keep my team well-rounded I pick Ultron. He's going to be the tech character for me. Can interface with technology, superhuman intelligence, strength, energy blasts, and an adamantium body are among his powers. he's another solid, well rounded character . I'll have to admit though, i also picked him because of this bad-ass painting below.

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tYiCGgNLJ8c/RzxYNW8XlwI/AAAAAAAADAM/hXXKGqtte_A/s1600/eyeon0002-a.jpg

The visual appearance and powers of the character have varied over his appearances. However, common powers include superhuman levels of strength, speed, stamina, durability, and reflexes; flight at subsonic speeds; and various offensive weapons such as concussive blasts of energy fired from its optical sensors and hands, and an "encephalo-ray", which places victims into a deathlike coma. The latter ray also allows Ultron to mesmerize and mind-control his victims, or implant subliminal hypnotic commands within their minds to be enacted at a later time. Ultron also has the ability to convert electromagnetic radiation into electrical energy for use or storage. Ultron has a genius intellect, a capacity for creative intelligence and self-repair, superhuman cybernetic analytical capabilities, and the ability to process information and make calculations with superhuman speed and accuracy. He is an expert roboticist and a master planner and strategist.

Ultron's outer armor is unusual in that it is usually composed of primary adamantium, which is almost completely impervious to damage. Most Ultron units are powered by a small internal nuclear furnace, and incorporate a "program transmitter" which can beam part or all of Ultron's memory/personality system into other computer systems or duplicate robotic bodies. Ultron can also control other machines remotely. Ultron has occasionally reformed itself with a humanoid appearance above the waist and the appearance of a complex machine, including tractor beam apparatus for flight, below the waist. A later Ultron model developed hive-mind technology, allowing him to animate and control hundreds of alternate Ultron bodies simultaneously.[33] Ultron also uses an internal molecular rearranger that renders the adamantium components of his workings more malleable and so have the ability to restructure his physical form. What circuitry Ultron has is carefully shielded to protect from damage.

Her Name is Magik.... and she is the lil' sis of Collosus.

Powers and abilities

Teleportation

Magik has the mutant ability to teleport herself and others through time and space from one location to another by creating "stepping discs." She can mentally control these discs, which are part of a dimension known as Limbo in the Marvel Universe. This dimension is specifically known alternately as "Demonic Limbo," "Limbo-Belasco," or "Otherplace." However, when Illyana mentally calls for a Stepping Disc she must use Limbo as a midway point before she can teleport to an alternate location. If she teleported herself or someone else from one place on Earth to another, the person would pass through Otherplace in the process. Magik could also teleport herself or someone into the Otherplace dimension or out of it. It is not known if she was genetically predetermined to travel through Limbo, or if she did so because, having been spirited there as a child, it was the only alternate dimension she was instinctively aware of. Magik has succeeded in teleporting herself across continents, from one continent to another, and even interplanetary and intergalactic distances on occasion. Apparently she can mentally scan Limbo while on Earth in order to locate whoever she wishes to teleport from Limbo down to her on Earth.

Unlike most other teleporters in the Marvel Universe, Magik can teleport through time as well as space. She has teleported moments, days or centuries into the past or future. Especially early on, she had difficulty modulating this ability and would often inadvertently travel through time and space when intending to teleport only through space. Magik was told by Doctor Strange that she had potential for great feats of manipulating time on a wider scale.

Illyana Rasputin could only utilize her superhuman mutant powers when she was an adolescent; on reverting to a prepubescent state her mutant powers returned to latency. As Magik, she never entirely mastered her teleportation ability, although her control over it improved with practice. Hence, the greater the distance over which she teleported, the greater the possible margin of error in terms of her arriving at the point of time she intended.

Sorcery

This section may require cleanup to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. Please improve this section if you can. (April 2009)

Magik is the sorceress supreme of her Limbo dimension. The extent of her powers in Limbo has yet to be defined, but powerful demons of Limbo did not dare challenge her.

In Limbo, Magik can probably cast any magic spell that Belasco could, having had access to his store of sorcerous knowledge. The only exception to this is spells of teleportation, which Belasco kept from her (as stated in the Magik limited series) to ensure she never escaped captivity. Magik's recent teaching of a teleportation spell to Pixie (who has no known natural teleportation ability) is inconsistent with this fact. Her sorcery was a unique mix of black magic that she learned from Belasco and white magic she was taught by an alternative-reality Ororo Munroe. She could not create uncorrupted life with a portion of her soul as Storm her mentor who was able to do when creating an acorn that grew into a tree. Illyana's acorn was rotten on the inside as her own soul was in her body. However, she was able to create a sword from a portion of her soul to use as a weapon. On one occasion she was shown to have easily inhibited the powers of the Enchantress while in Limbo despite the Enchantress being a powerful sorceress in her own right.

Magik's magical abilities are far more limited in Earth's dimension, though she could still manipulate magical energies for various effects. Even an unskilled (but Earth-based) magic-user like Forge has demonstrated himself to be her superior. On Earth she has performed astral projection, sense mystical presences, scry, and cast very simple spells. Her magical powers on Earth are primarily the use of her Soulsword, which is the ultimate embodiment of her mystical might, and the summoning of the armor. In X-Infernus, however, she has been seen using magics of a seemingly greater level of strength that previously while in Earth's dimension.[19]

It is also mentioned that Illyana has formidable psionic shields, most likely a result of the time she spent in Limbo and the effects of her partially demonic soul. As such even powerful telepaths such as Charles Xavier and the Phoenix-enhanced Rachel Summers can not mentally read Illyana's thoughts.

Eldritch armor

Illyana willing most of her armor to appear. Art by Bret Blevins.

The more that Magik uses her magical power on any occasion, the more mystical armor appears on her body in addition to demonic features such as horns, hooves, a tail and scales. The armor deflects or limits attacks, both physical and magical, which was shown during her battle with Forge.[23] Illyana's armor also provided her protection and immunity to the Transmode Virus, which was shown when her transmode virus-infected demons attempted to dethrone her.

Also shown during the Inferno storyline was an aspect of limited super-strength while in the armor, which makes Illyana similar in power to her brother. This was shown when the rather large demon S'ym was easily thrown several feet by Illyana when he attempted to force her to the ground during the events of Inferno.[24]

Soulsword

This section may require cleanup to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. Please improve this section if you can. (April 2009)

Magik's Soulsword disrupts magic energies, constructs and creatures. It also augments the power level of any magic user who holds it. The Soulsword generally has no physical effect whatsoever, but disrupts even the most powerful magic as it passes through. It can shatter enchantments and destroy mystical creations and creatures.

While it can kill magic creatures, such as demons, upon contact, it cannot physically injure non-magical persons. The only exception to this has been Kitty Pryde, who can still be cut by the Soulsword even when Pryde is using her phasing power to become intangible. Pryde is also one of the few people other than Magik who can wield the Soulsword effectively. When Pryde does so, Magik's armor begins to appear on Pryde's body. Moreover, when the Beyonder once freed Illyana from the influence of her darksoul, Pryde gained the ability to produce and wield the Soulsword. Illyana later took the darksoul influence back into herself in order that she could again wield the Soulsword to save Pryde's life from a demon. The Soulsword has also freed people from psychic control (such as the Shadow King-possessed Karma and Cypher[25] and Illyana once used it on herself to purge the Technarch transmode virus from her system.[26] Illyana can make her Soulsword appear and vanish at will.

As Magik, she was an excellent swordwoman, and a good hand-to-hand combatant who received training in unarmed combat from Cat and at Xavier's school.

Finally gonna pick a female to join my team:

Saturn Girl

http://image.comicvine.com/uploads/item/2000/1273/60815-saturn-girl_400.jpg

Needed a telepath and she'll do the job just fine

Saturn Girl's powers in her initial Silver Age appearances appeared to be limitless: she could summon distant people; probe human, electronic, and animal minds; "push" weakened minds, and even directly control others' thoughts and emotions. In later years, her abilities were portrayed more conservatively: her telepathy was used most often for communication or sensing surface thoughts, while her ability to influence and probe minds was usually limited to minds that had already been weakened in some way, such as by fatigue or a villain's mind control.

Saturn Girl post Zero Hour was again a telepath, able to alter, manipulate, and read minds. She could communicate mentally, as well as cast illusions and maintain them indefinitely, including pseudo-tactile contact, while the illusions could display a personality different from her own and she would be aware of all interactions the illusory figure was involved in at all times.

Team D13 selects

Atrocitus

We feel that since his lack of experience and his powers being labeled as undefined puts him just below a Powerhouse level villian

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/1/13181/544233-atrocitus_by_bakanekonei_super.jpg
http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/3/31467/682024-795px_atrocitus3_super.jpg

Powers and Abilities

Atrocitus wields a Red Lantern power ring similar to that of a Green Lantern's, save that it is powered by rage rather than willpower. The full extent of a red power ring's powers has not been revealed, but it is stated in Final Crisis: Rage of the Red Lanterns that the red ring acts as their heart and pumps their rage tainted blood out of their body through their mouth. Hal Jordan proved capable of creating constructs with the ring, but it is unknown if Atrocitius has this capablility as well. It is also shown that the ring's red energy corrupts the auras of other power rings and burns them away, possibly corrupting the ring beyond the ability for a Lantern to use. Unlike the other members of the Red Lantern Corps, whose rings reduce them to being mindless raging beasts, leaving them unable to create and maintain energy constructs as do Green and Blue Lanterns, Atrocitus is in full control of his mental faculties while wearing his ring and may not be affected in the same manner. However, the Red Lantern's corruptive energy can be overcome and purified by the Blue Lantern's energies.

Atrocitus possesses superhuman strength and durability; strong enough to toss a construction digger and durable enough to withstand bullets.

Atrocitus's association with the Empire of Tears granted him a great deal of shamanistic magic, which he used to forge the Red Lantern rings and divine the location of Wiliam Hand.

I pick Ms Marvel

http://www.dafixer.com/images/Ms_Marvel_Special01.jpg

Ms. Marvel initially possessed superhuman strength, endurance, stamina, flight, physical durability and a limited precognitive "seventh sense".

As Binary, she could tap the energy of a "white hole", allowing her to manipulate stellar (or "cosmic") energies, which she could radiate as heat, light, and the rest of the electromagnetic spectrum as well as gravity fields. After a massive expenditure of stellar energies, she would revert to human form and needed to rest in that state. She possessed strength far greater than her original level, and when flying could shunt herself to hyperspace to exceed light speed, and could exist in the vacuum of space unprotected. Binary manages to force open a Shi'ar Stargate, a feat only ever otherwise performed by beings on the power level of Thor or a Herald of Galactus.

After Danvers' link to the white hole from which she drew her powers was severed, she lost the bulk of her cosmic powers, but still retained her potential for energy manipulation in addition to her original powers of superhuman strength, injury resistance, and flight as well as the ability to take on her Binary appearance. Ms. Marvel can discharge explosive blasts of radiant energy, which she fires from her fingertips. She also demonstrates the ability to absorb other forms of energy, such as electricity, to further magnify her strength and energy projection, up to the force of an exploding nuclear weapon. When sufficiently augmented, she can withstand the pressure from a 92-ton weight, and strike with a similar level of force. Hank Pym theorized that this likely was not her limit. Carol cannot absorb magical energy without consequence, though she aided Dr. Stephen Strange in the defeat of the mystic menace Sir Warren Traveler.

Hank McCoy had theorized that Ms. Marvel would no longer be able to access her cosmic-level powers, yet she was apparently briefly restored to Binary status, after being exposed to great power while battling the sentient energy being The Collective. As a result of sharing her body with the alien Cru, she temporarily gained a powerful healing factor. In order to separate the two, Carol temporarily lost her powers. However, after apparently being killed by the Brood Queen, her Binary powers were again temporarily restored but lost this healing factor.

Mr. Fantastic

I now have 3 characters from the Illuminati (Strange, Namor, and Fantastic) boosting my team's chemistry. Fantastic is highly intelligent.

http://xrayvision.today.com/files/2009/02/mr-fantastic-fantastic-four.jpg

Mister Fantastic possesses the ability to convert the mass of his entire body into a highly malleable state at will. In such a state, he can stretch, deform, expand, or compress his entire body or parts thereof into any contiguous shape he can imagine. He can extend his limbs, torso, or neck to great distances: the maximum length he can distend before his body segments become painful is about 1,500 feet. (Although he can extend discrete body parts, such as a single finger, an ear, or an eye, he seldom if ever isolates such parts in his elongations.) He can also extend his body in two directions, creating a canopy, parachute, or sheath, its thickness determined by the extent of its distention. He has compressed his body into the shape of a solid sphere, a cylinder, a cube, a toroid, and a rectangular prism: he can assume the shape of any solid that he can envision clearly, of a volume no greater than 1.7 cubic feet (a sphere about 18 inches in diameter). He can generate thin-walled shapes that enclose great volumes of space. Mister Fantastic can flatten himself to the thickness of an average sheet of typing paper (.0035 inch) or narrow himself to a diameter small enough to pass through the eye of a #10 beading needle (about .045 x .06 inches). How his body's respiration and circulatory systems function at these distorted extremes is as yet unknown. Mister Fantastic can alter his form in a matter of seconds, often much less (depending on the complexity of the shape), and revert to his normal humanoid shape within a similar time. The greater the distance he stretches or the more extended the size of the object he becomes, the weaker his overall strength becomes.

Due to the great malleability and elasticity of his molecular structure, Mister Fantastic is able to absorb the impact of any type of man-made ballistic projectile by deforming his body along the path of the projectile's trajectory at the point of initial impact. After his body absorbs the kinetic energy of a ballistic projectile's impact, he can expel the object back along its trajectory by flexing like a trampoline if he is adequately braced. He can enclose and absorb the energy of a large explosive, on the order of 8 to 12 pounds of TNT (excluding exotic, high density explosives). Such shocks to his system are physically exhausting.

Mister Fantastic's transformation to a malleable state is reflexive and nearly instantaneous: if he was at his normal form and taken unaware by machine gun fire, his body would still absorb the bullets' impact through radical deformation. Mister Fantastic's skin is virtually impervious to laceration or punctures unless he wilfully relaxes his reflexive control over small areas of his body. In that case, scalpels and ordinary needles can penetrate his skin.

Skipping Quata and picking Zauriel:

http://classicmarvelrpg.com/images/zauriel.jpg

Zauriel's most visible special properties are his wings, which grant him flight at incredible speeds and with a high degree of control.
The most potent of Zauriel's powers is his devastating sonic scream (sometimes called a "sonic flash"), which is capable of tremendous amounts of destruction. An ability that is specific to angels of the Eagle Host, Zauriel's scream is acutely attuned to the vibrational frequency that angels adopt when temporarily descending to the Earthly plane, enabling Zauriel to vaporize an angel in milliseconds. It is speculated[citation needed] that his scream could liquify a normal person.

A less-defined property of Zauriel's angel-hood is what he refers to as his angelic over-mind, Zauriel's mental connection to Heaven. This connection grants Zauriel various abilities, including the ability to communicate with any type of animal and a divine connection to the flow of magic on Earth. He can also sense good and evil around him and in people.

Zauriel has a number of other powers, including a moderate amount of superhuman strength, durability and agility when compared to a normal human. He is an expert in the ancient warfare, customs, and theologies of the Abrahamic religious traditions. For example, he invoked the beliefs of the Gnostic Christians when counseling Hawkgirl, and he can also perform what he calls the "Red Sea trick," enabling him to part a body of water in much the way Moses did. He has also been submersed in water at length without drowning on more than one occasion. Zauriel does not age, does not have the mortal need to eat, drink, or sleep, and seems to have a high level healing factor.

As a ruler of a dimension of Hell, Hellstrom commands virtually unlimited power in his own dimension, the full details and extent of which may yet to be revealed. Potentially, he can perform virtually any magical feat.
Hellstorm possesses vast magical power, enhanced by the number and faith of his worshippers. He can fly or transport himself and other beings and objects (even buildings) across the planet and to other realms via travel through Hell; [B]he can even travel through time. He can project true fire; hellfire, able to cause spiritual pain; and destructive energies able to devastate a house or slay even beings of great magical power. He can form and shatter mystic shields, tear thoughts from minds, and heal injuries and ailments in himself or others. Though he is only slightly stronger than human, his powers can amplify his strength to higher levels. He can alter his garments and appearance at will, taking on a more demonic appearance, in some cases including hooves, fangs, and wings. His powers, formerly dependent on the Darksoul within him, are greatest within his own realm of Hell.

Abilities
Hellstorm is highly intelligent and an expert in the occult, specifically in demonology and theology. He can perform complex and powerful magical rites.

Paraphernalia
Hellstorm wields a trident, formed of a Nether metal (Netheranium, a bane to other demons) and summoned and re-formed at his will, which serves as his power focus and symbol, though he can discharge his energies without it. He often travels across space or dimensions via his Demon-Steed drawn chariot, appearing with a thought. His Fire Lake mansion contains a portal to Hell, but possesses wards blocking unwanted entry of demons or angels. Hellstorm also possesses a number of magical artifacts, such as the Necromanteion (a magical scrying crystal) and the Grimorium Verum (an ancient arcane text). He sometimes uses a cane due to a left leg injury from the arcane Breathing Gun. .

I'll make my pick now since I'm pretty sure no one was gonna take this guy. I figure I need another cerebral guy on my team to bounce ideas off of the Joker.

So, I draft:

Red Skull

http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u20/KERISMS/KER-cp-redskull.jpg

[QUOTE]Although the Red Skull has no superhuman abilities, he is a highly gifted military and subversive strategist and political mastermind. He also possesses an intellect and inventive genius on the level of supervillains such as Doctor Doom. At one point, the Red Skull's mind inhabited a body cloned from Captain America's, and hence possessed the mutagenic alterations induced by the Super-Soldier Serum. He was thus endowed with a body that was in perfect physical condition, with strength, speed, durability, agility, dexterity, reflexes, coordination, balance, and physical endurance that exceeded that of any Olympic athlete who ever performed. Despite the scar tissue covering his face and head, his senses were still above-average. He has been shown as a hand to hand combatant and martial artist on par with Captain America himself, originally trained by German athletes appointed by Hitler, and is heavily trained as a skilled marksman with various forms of handguns, and well-versed in the use of fire arms and explosives. The Red Skull is commonly portrayed as one of the Marvel Universe's most genuinely frightening major villains.
While sharing Alexander Lukin's body, he lost his superhuman abilities. Currently, he resides in one of the android body engineered by Arnim Zola, with enhanced endurance and resilience.
He typically armed himself with a trick cigarette that could fire fatal poison gas

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/3765/110924-27557-deathstroke_super.JPG

Powers and Abilities
Deathstroke possesses various enhanced abilities. These include the strength of ten men and heightened speed, agility, stamina, and reflexes. He has the capacity to use up to 90% of his brain making him a tactical genius, adept at turning opponents' own abilities against them; this can also be attributed his years in the military and combat with various heroes. Deathstroke also possesses a healing factor in his blood that enables him to heal from physical injury much faster than a normal person; it does have limitations as he could not heal his eye and cannot regenerate entire limbs. This enables him to recover from what would otherwise be fatal injuries, though recovering from such injuries renders him insane and animalistic for a short period.

He is also a highly formidable opponent in physical combat to the point that even Batman can only fight him to a stalemate (and only succeeded in defeating him with the aid of his sidekicks, in Infinite Crisis). Green Arrow (vol. 4) #66 claims that an assassin known as Natas (backwards for satan) taught Deathstroke "almost everything he knows" (a retcon of his origin in The New Teen Titans: Judas Contract, where his future wife Adeline Kane trained him while Slade was in the military). There has been argument among fans as to how good a martial artist Deathstroke is. While he has defeated multiple opponents in hand-to-hand combat and has even been acknowledged by Cassandra Cain as "toying with me, he is holding back", he is not considered one of the DCU's greatest martial artists despite his impressive record, as his enhanced capabilities and artificial enhancements provide him with an unfair advantage. Deathstroke is also skilled in the use of many weapons ranging from guns, rifles, and swords, which are usually among his current weapons of choice. His signature weapon is a power staff that fires lethal and non-lethal energy blasts from both ends. The staff can also be used to strike using energy at each end. His body armor is composed of a mesh-woven, kevlar, chainlink mail, capable of stopping small arms fire. Most of the metal he wears and uses is Promethium.

In the animated series, Slade has superior physical strength and fighting skills that surpass Robin's, having beaten him every time they fought in the series. It eventually took all 5 of the Teen Titans to defeat him, though they did so soundly. He is a bona-fide genius, with great knowledge in robotics, as well as military, political and subversive strategy. However, he was easy to anger, which Robin eventually took advantage of. He seems to possess some knowledge of ceremonial magic (as seen in Forces of Nature). He appears to have access to extremely advanced technology and various secret hideouts, nearly unlimited resources, and a vast army of robot minions. However, Slade's most notable quality is that he is a master of manipulation and psychology, allowing him to get his foes to do almost anything he wants through shrewd manipulation.

Doom's Angels will use their last pick in the draft to select

Laura Kinney, also known as...

http://i41.tinypic.com/rmqyjm.jpg

X-23

X-23 possesses the ability to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of her cellular structure at a superhuman rate, which varies in direct proportion with the severity of the damage she suffers. Despite the extent of her healing factor, X-23 is not immortal. Injuries that result in the loss of vital organs, large amounts of blood, and/or loss of physical form are potentially lethal for her. X-23's natural healing also affords her virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs, as well as an enhanced resistance to diseases and the fatigue poisons generated by bodily activity. Hence, her endurance, agility and reflexes are enhanced. X-23 also possesses superhumanly acute senses, allowing her to see and hear things at an extended distance. She is able to recognize people and objects by scent, even if that person or object is hidden, and can use these enhanced senses to track any creature with an impressive degree of success. X-23's skeleton includes two retractable bone claws in each arm and one in each foot that she can extend and retract at will. These claws are housed beneath the skin and muscle. Unsheathing them causes her skin to tear and bleed, but the wounds are quickly dealt with by her healing factor. X-23 can unsheathe any number of these claws at once, although she must keep her wrists and/or feet straight at the moment the claws emerge. The claws are naturally sharp, tougher than normal human bone and have been coated with Adamantium, allowing X-23 to cut through most types of flesh and natural materials. Presumably, because X-23 is a clone of the mutant Wolverine, her healing factor will also provide her with an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process.

Elektra

http://www.ugo.com/filmtv/top11-classyassassins/images/2.gif

[QUOTE]Elektra's primary abilities are a strong knowledge of martial arts and weaponry. Elektra learned ancient martial arts of China, Siam, and Japan. She is a master combatant with the Japanese Sai, her usual weapon of choice. She is also highly skilled with the katana, daggers, 3-sectional staff and shurikens. She is a master of many Japanese combat forms including Ninjutsu. Elektra is an Olympic-level athlete, strong in gymnastics and swimming, with a high level in athleticism in human strength, speed, agility, and reflexes. She is resistant to pain and extreme heat and cold. She is also able to keep to the shadows and move with such speed that she can remain unseen even in daylight, thus explaining why she is one of Marvel's top killers.

Elektra has demonstrated on occasion the ability to mesmerize others, and as such make them see illusions or other phenomena.

Elektra's strangest, and perhaps most obscure gift is her ability to "throw" her mind into those of others. For instance, she was able to track down her enemy, Ken Wind, by temporarily "borrowing" people's minds and acting through them while she hunted around for her prey. This temporal mind control enables her to metaphorically sniff out the psyche, or intent, of her targets. It saw extensive use during Elektra: Assassin, in which she was heavily reliant on only her ninja powers. It is unknown how long the effect lasts, but Elektra has gone a full two days or more in someone else's mind while they zoned out in hers.

Elektra has occasionally demonstrated low-level telekinesis, though it is possible that this may be an illusion which victims of her mesmerism are led to see. She can communicate telepathically with individuals possessing similar levels of mental discipline, such as the Chaste.

It is unclear what the limitations on her psychic ability are. She may be limited by touching distance or to minds easily affected by persuasion; the last time Elektra tried this trick, it was with S.H.I.E.L.D. Elektra was not born with this interesting gift: she mastered it through training and refinement with The Hand. Their fighters share a similar power, which means each of them

Alright for my final pick I'm choosing: Plastic Man

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/1184/108933-55914-plastic-man_super.jpg

http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/9631/morphbatwingspt0.jpg

Plastic Man is basically immortal.

His most current form has shown that he is highly resistant to fire and cold as well as basically any type of energy/force possible.

He is also immune to mind control.

He can morph into basically anything, including fully functional tanks, rooms, or something small like batman's utility belt, or even imitate people to a very accurate degree.

This makes him very important for a number of reasons. He can stall and stalemate almost any being eligible in this draft. He is an excellent decoy, and makes a third option against mind control/telepaths. He is also extremely versatile due to his morphing powers, which far surpass Mr. Fantastic or anyone else. If we are able to write some matchups, I already have some very interesting ways I can imagine how to use him.

Also, he has great chemistry with Batman, who first brought him into the JLA, and with Exodus not having any qualms about exploiting peoples powers, I'm sure he will be used to his full capability.

Plus Zatanna wants him. :lol

http://images.fanpop.com/images/image_uploads/Venom-spider-man-654973_1600_1054.jpg

^^^that pick is great...but large

Though it requires a living host in order to survive, the Venom symbiote has been shown on some occasions to be able to fend for itself with its own set of unique powers. The symbiote, even without a host, has shown shape-shifting abilities like forming spikes and expanding its size.

The symbiote is telepathic and does not require physical contact to influence the minds of others. In Planet Of The Symbiotes, the creature, after being rejected by its host, emits a psychic scream which drives nearby humans to states of extreme depression. Later, with the assistance of Eddie Brock, it emits an even more powerful variant of that power which results in the mass suicide of an invasive force of symbiotes. The symbiote can also blend with any background, using an optic-camouflage type of effect, and shape-shift to resemble ordinary clothing. Venom is immune to the Penance Stare, an ability used by Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze and Daniel Ketch.

The symbiote originally rejected its species' habit of consuming its hosts, but still required certain chemicals (human adrenaline) in order to survive. When starved of these chemicals, the symbiote developed a mutable exoskeleton, allowing it to form its own solid body which it used to hunt and kill prey without the assistance of a host. However, due to Brock's, and later Gargan's, influence on its personality the symbiote has developed a taste for blood, which both its hosts were forced to sate by physically devouring their victims. Later, the suit's evolution progressed and as shown in the 2003 Venom comic book series, its clone could spontaneously jump from host to host and after every departure from said hosts.

Due to its contact with Spider-Man, the symbiote cannot be detected by the hero's spider-sense. As Spider-Man's fighting style is partly dependent on his spider-sense, his effectiveness was somewhat hampered when he battled Eddie Brock, allowing the less experienced Brock to keep up with him. However, the symbiote is vulnerable to loud noises, such as the ringing of church bells.

The Venom Symbiote has been shown to have the ability to replicate itself. This ability is shown in Spider-Man: Reign, when Venom recreates his own symbiote to combat his loneliness. This ability is also used by Venom in Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, when Venom discovers the ability to copy his Symbiote and uses it to take over Manhattan. Such an ability has not been demonstrated in the main 616 universe, it is most likely the main version/s of Venom lack this capability as such a useful tactic would possibly have been mentioned or employed already.

With my 8th round pick i choose Legion.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d9/Xmen40.jpg
Legion is an immensely powerful mutant that has multiple personalities. At least the first, Jemail, was the mind of a terrorist that David somehow absorbed into himself. While two others, Jack Wayne and Cyndi made themselves known, it is unknown how many other personalities there were or could have been. The manifestation of Legion's individual powers are generally associated with his different personalities, with each personality controlling a different power.

He has manifested the powers of telepathy through the personality of Jemail Karami, telekinesis through the personality of Jack Wayne, pyrokinesis through the personality of Cyndi and teleportation through another unknown personality. Apparently, Legion's core personality finally took control of his splinter personalities' powers, since he manifested psionic abilities when he traveled back in time.

It is said that the cumulative powers of all his personalities make him arguably one of the strongest mutants in existence[citation needed].

Legion has also been described as both autistic and schizophrenic by a number of writers, although this may relate to the common mistake of referring to multiple personality disorder as schizophrenia.
