It's also fairly interesting that Ron wants a 4 year deal worth roughly 9 mill per

My perception about Artest changes a lot since he left the Pacers. Even though my Lakers had a real tough series against the Rockets, I had every indication that Ron ran the show down in Houston and that he had the respect of his team-mates. I think he's finally mature enough to handle being a star.

Ron Artest needs his own reality show or something. Seriously. This is some classic sh!t. I sure as hell would watch the Ron Artest reality show. Hell, I would read the Ron Artest book. :D

oh the horror

In an era where we have cardboard cutout personalities, and stale acting from most athletes....Ron Artest is simply awesome.

If your in Hollywood, you can see Ron Artest as a regular at Geisha House. Nba players love to eat at that place, Shaun Livingston was a regular there when he was with the Clippers, Sonny Weems was seen there before, so was Josh Smith.

If Morey can wrangle it down to 4 years, 32 million then I'll be happy. 9 million? That's just pushing it......I love Artest, but nobody in the Rockets has the balls to tell him to stop over dribbling and at times disrupting the flow of the team.

:wtf: So you'd rather pay him more??? If he's asking for 9 million for 4 years, you'd rather they pay him 32 million for 4 years??? Why would u want to pay somebody waaay more than they're asking???

Ron in actuality is 6'5"(he comes to NYC often). The other dude is about 6'7"-6'8".

Ron is asking for 36 millions.

9 millions in 4 years (2.25 \ year) is role player money

Didn't Ron offer to play for free when he was in Sacramento?

I don't know about that, but i remember he offered to sign for less money if Sac-town have kept Adelman & Wells (both of whom have great chemistry with ron). I guess he changed his mind when they left for Houston.

It's amazing how "fans" view players with certain teams and cities. Ron was a riot with a local radio show host in Sacramento, and he was funny and entertaining before being traded to Houston, but nobody cared because the Kings were bad. Once he's in a bigger market on a successful team, suddenly fans take notice and now he's a cool cat that everybody likes.

Ron and Kobe are pals. I'm sure Ron would love to play in LA and I'm sure Kobe would love to have him. Ron understands that he has the support of the city of Houston, and Adelman and Ron get along great. Ron has cleaned up his act, and he's proven that he was more misunderstood than anything else.

I want Ron to retire a Rocket honestly. There are very few players in the entire NBA i'd rather have than Ron Artest. Looking around the league and seeing what some overrated bums pull down a year makes Ron Artest at $8.5-9.5m per seem like EXCELLENT value. He is a walking intangible.

I liked him when he was at St. Johns. I liked him before and after the brawl. Ron Artest ftw. No question about it.

Guys is a regular man of the people. Saw him eating in the dining halls at UCLA, for no real reason. Probably just wanted to kick it and get a free meal.
