For me, I would say it's between Michael Strahan, Melky Cabrera, and Malik Sealy. My friend met Richard Jefferson and said he was pretty cool and another friend said Triple H was a giant a$$hole.

Alonzo Mourning should go down in history as the biggest A-hole of all time, but I would have to say the nicest athletes I've bumped into so far was A-Rod and Larry Bird.

A-Rod? He seems like a pompous d!ck.

No way. You ask anyone that's close to him and he's the nicest guy in the world. Dude has a negative rep cause he's simply A-Rod and plays for the Yankes and admitted to steroids. Doesn't take away from his off the field persona which is a genuinely nice guy.

He's been to my school a couple of times to do some charity stuff with the kids there and everybody adores the guy.

You've met him, so I'll take your word for it. I actually got to see a high Darryl Strawberry, which was interesting to say the least. :oldlol:

tyson chandler took a pic with my ex's cousin.. but then again my ex's cousin was fine as hell. also, ricky davis gave me the 'what up' head nod while shooting around and kirk hinrich pointed at me during his shoot-around. oh, and dennis rodman coulda signed some stuff of mine but i was like 7 years old, with my friend, his sister and his sister's friend, had that happened to me now i woulda got out my car in the middle of the street and downtown chicago to get an autograph. (which is where i was at the time when i saw him)

Had dinner with Kurt Warner. Nicest athlete I've ever met.

Thankfully he didn't mention one thing about God. Of course, this was when he was in the Arena League.

Depends what you mean by "meet."

Like talk to them and chat for a while, or just have a brief encounter?

I'm assuming the latter so....

Magic
Ron Harper
Mark Jackson
Detlef
Nique

^^ met them at Magic's Midsummer Night charity event. Cool down to earth, I was in high school back then so I was kinda awed, didn't really say much just observed them and they actually approached me at times (since they noticed how shy I was).

Cherokee Parks
Q Rich
Corey Maggette

Down to earth cool cats, met them a Knott's Berry Farm Clipper event. Cherokke is a riot, funny down to earth which is probably why he's always a locker room fav.

Ruben Patterson

Cool cat.... met him at Keysawn Johnson's "Reign" restaurant.

For the most part they stick out as being cool and down to earth.

Others were just amicable, and didn't want to be rude so they played the part which is cool.

But one really stands out as being an a$$hole.

Sheed

Yo **** that b!tch, mufu#ka is beyond rude.

He did throw up a huge "Detroit Pistons: World Champions" banner after they won though :oldlol:

I was very surprised at how friendly Sebastian Telfair was when I met him briefly before a Celtics game. His TV show/movie or whatever it was made him seem rather arrogant.

Ran into Drew Brees at the mall once in West Lafayette, not too long after he'd been drafted. Extremely pleasant dude, him being the massive star was at Purdue it seemed like the entire mall was asking him to sign this and that. I didn't have anything to sign, just a hey cool to meet you and a handshake type thing. But he stopped and signed everything he was asked, probably at least 30 people. He was nice to everyone, shook every hand, said thank you to every compliment, etc etc. And he was just out by himself doing some shopping, that was cool I thought.

Met John Wooden once, I was too in awe to really say anything other than sort of flub out a "H..H..Hello Mr. Wooden." He just kinda smiled and shook my hand. That was a great moment, wish I'd gotten a picture.

I just meet JYD today at bestbuy (http://www.bestbuy.ca/marketing/HP_NBA/en/default.asp?logon=&langid=EN), he's really cool, and a nice guy. He talked to everybody and signed everything: basketballs, shoes, shirts, jerseys and posters.

I also meet Mick Foley (Current TNA Wrestler) and Maven (Former WWE Wrestler) this decade. Mick Foley was cool, didn't really talk to Maven though.

Mikki Moore
Andre Rison
Jerome Bettis
Thomas Hearns - I was clowning him and referring to him as Sugar Ray. He laughed it off
Antoine Walker used to live right next door to us

Michael Irvin is the life of the party. I saw him in Vegas with Erik Williams and Leon Lett after a fight. Erik had drifted off into the casino area. Michael was like "Yo, where's Erik? He looked down the hall and spotted him and screamed out "Erik, GET THE FUQQ BACK HERE" in true pimp fashion. Erik just held his head down and walked right back. funny shyt

I've bumped into Sheed back in the Portland days. He was pretty cool. Just said hi at the airport and said hi back.

I think it would be cool to meet Greg Oden. Seems like a cool guy and would not take things too seriously. Same goes for pretty much the whole roster though. All nice people from what I hear.

I've met a lot of ex-Arizona players. Luke Walton, Richard Jefferson, Loren Woods, Gilbert Arenas, and some other non-NBA players. They were all extremely nice, especially Woods. Arenas told me to start lifting weights because he never used to until they played Wisconsin in the NCAAs and they physically kicked his ass. I asked Richard Jefferson his vertical, he said 41 but their athletic trainer was right there and said, "You mean 37". :oldlol:

I've met a couple of ex-Nuggets too. No surprise that Dikembe was 100% awesome and 100% genuine too. Great guy, though I only understood about half of what he said. McDyess was a prick but this was when he was putting up 20-10 and everyone wanted his attention.

I played ball against Rodney Billups, Chauncey's little brother, a couple weeks ago. Pretty underwhelming.

Rodney Harrison was an a**hole, and so was Derek Lowe. I was going to a Celtics game and was on the green line and saw Cedric Maxwell and said what's up, we shook hands. I wanted to call him cornbread but I elected not to. I met Terry O'Reilly several times, and he's the nicest guy ever. Such a nice guy for such a brutal player on the ice.

Ryan Howard was a cool guy. Him, Jimmy Rollins, and another Phillies player who I now forget were in a free throw contest at halftime of a Sixers game and he was out in the parking lot just chillin after the game. I've met Dionte Christmas who's one of the most chill, laid back guys ever. And I met Aaron McKie at Dave and Buster's one time and he took the time to take a pic with me and everything, but I have no idea where that picture is at now.

edit: Rasual Butler and Pooh Richardson I've met too

met a bunch not sure if i will name em all but its somewhere near 30.

never met but touched mj at the premier showing of spacejam at old orchard shopping center movie theater, listed as 6'6 people say he's really 6'4 in person he looked 6'3 to me, and im 6 feet even so i was like i can dee this foo up! his whole family was there, and what was weird was juanita and the kids took off separately in there white landcruiser, and mj took off in a black corvette, i found that kinda strange.

that theater was star studded i also met robert parish (this guy is HUGGGEEE) BO jackson he's cool as hell! will perdue i didn't even bother to say hi to him, craig hodges, cliff levingston, stacey king etc. almost all the other bulls were there except scottie pippen, but i met pippen at a gamestop i didn't say hi cuz he's a prick! every kid in there was in awe of him but he didn't look at anybody or said hi and he's actually married to this assyrian girl that went to my highschool and her younger brother is a year younger than me... he thought he was the shhh, whatever!

i met toni kukoc at a mall, i ran up to him and im like TONI! he was with his kids and was like who? i am not toni! and i got up closer to look at him if i was mistaken and im like noooo! you liar! and he started laughing and he then shook my hand and was like how are you nice to meet you, toni was kool as hell!

i met a-train (anthony thomas) numerous amounts of times at clubs, he's cool but really really strangely oddly quiet, he rolls by himelf everywhere he goes its weird, one time he wanted to hollar at one of my exes who im still cool wit and i was like mya go hollar at that! and my ex goes i dunno im scared of his gf :lol and a-train was wit his wife or gf some blondie and that blondie started screaming all crazy like *****hhhhh you better leave right now! a-train told her to shut the eff up! and walked up to my ex and asked for her # and she was like ummm no thanks! funny!

met jay williams at a club called white star BEFORE the season started of his rookie year, and i couldn't believe it! cuz im a hugge duke fan! and i was a hugge jay williams fan at that time, so i was like JAY WILLIAMS really loud i was drunk as hell! and he put his finger over his lips and went shhhhhhhhh! i was like oh HELL MUTHA EFFIN NOOOOO! and he gives me a slight smirk and goes yeah nice to meet you, i HATED HIM AFTER THAT!!! my boy who bounced at the club laughs at me to this very day!

speaking of dukies i met luol deng like 5 times mostly at clubs he loves asian girls, he probably somewhat recognizes me if he see's me, anyways i met him and chris duhon (ben gordon was there but he didn't talk to us) at this bar/grill called the yardhouse for my guys bday, and it was funny we didn't initially know they were there, when our waitress goes up to one of my girls and asks me if she was my gf and i was like ummm hell no! and my girl was like yeah yeah he's my bf like she knew where the waitress was going wit this, and the waitress goes well some guy wants to meet you, and she goes well tell him to come over here than! and the waitress goes no they are chicago bulls players, and i immediatley jump out of my chair and go where? where? and the waitress goes they are luol deng and chris duhon! this was during there rookie season and im freaking out and tell my girl to go meet em! so she went for me and my boys are like who are they? i never heard of them before (my boys arn't into bball at all!) so luol and chris came over and i immediately scream luol! your a BEAST DAWG! your a monster of a beast im so happy the bulls drafted you (again i was drunk) and he looked at me like i was crazy and goes ok nice to meet you, and chris goes who's birthday is it? and i pointed to my boy and chris walks up to him and goes happy bday, what are your plans for your bday? blah blah blah, and we all took a picture... chris duhon was really really cool (i dunno maybe he was just being a wingman cuz luol would not leave the side of my girl) chris duhon i would say was the coolest pro athlete i have ever met, and i also told him that i always thought he was better than jay williams at duke cuz as you read above i hate jay williams! and chris started cracking up! chris duhon's a kool dude fa sho!

jose macia's actually came into my store with his fiance, and he was kool, but the really funny thing was my ex (we were really serious and i thought i was gonna spend the rest of my life wit this girl) she goes guess who im dating blah blah blah a chicago cub and i told her he's probably cheating on you right now! so i was like who? she wouldn't tell me at first cuz she said she's not allowed too, and i was like what?!? your either lying or he's playing you like a fooo! and then like a couple days later she tells me cuz i kept on telling her she's lying i don't believe her, she goes jose macias! and i just start BALLING RIGHT there! and she goes what i know he's not all that famous yet! and im like thats not it, he came into my store wit his fiance and she goes oh yeah i know! i saw your stores table calender at his house! PUHAHAHAHA :applause: that was hilarius!!!

i got a whole lot more but... maybe ill post it later.

yes i knowwwwww im super koooooooooool!

My brother met Rasheed and said he wasn't terribly warm. He was picking up food from my brother's restaurant. I think someone complimented him on his game and apparently Sheed gave a disinterested "Oh. Thanks." My brother was a little bummed he wasn't more jovial but to be completely honest, I bet Wallace gets lines like that from every random place he goes: restaurant, grocery, gas station. It has to be tiresome, especially when you've got your kids with you and you're just trying to get in and out of a place.

I met Dikembe last. January when i attended this youth conference that his daughter was also attending. He didn't seem to want to tale a picture at first (but I understood since he probably just came off the flight and if I asked, everybody would start coming in) but he still made way for it. Once I told him I was from the Philippines though his face lit up then he started talking about Pacquiao. :oldlol: Nice dude. Wish a lot more players would follow his lead and do more charitable things for his earnings.

Met Kevin Durant when the Thunder vs. Mavericks had a preseason game here in my city. Only NBA game we've ever had. Anyways he was staying at the Hyatt hotel and a lot of us waited for him. He signed every single persons memorabilia. Awesome dude. And it was cold as **** too, yet he took out the time to be nice. :lol Westbrook is a whole different story. Just threw up a peace sign and went inside. Didn't matter to me though. I'm sure they all get sick of it sooner or later. I'll post the pics when I get home. On my phone right now.

I'm going to add BJ Penn. I think it was after his fight with GSP. I was touring around with him when he was contracted to do some signings at supplement stores.
He was talking about how they made him play the bad guy role and he was like, sure, why not? He is actually a stand up chill dude. GSP is actually an asshole. I had drinks with Penn and his PR guy with RVCA. Even play fought with him. I think it's the Hawaiian in him. Just super laid back.

Brock Lesnar is a straight up prick. We had him sponsored but he acted like a bitch when it came to do events.
Mir is a cocky dude as well.
