“On The Ropes” Radio returns with host Jenna J aka Boxing Girl and co-hosts Mark Messer, Nick Powers & weekly guest Rumsfeld in recapping a spectacular American victory overseas, and a showcase of some of the best male and female prospects in the sport today.

In some cases, boxing is notorious for having fighters “returning to the scene of the crime” so to speak. This past weekend, one of America’s best Heavyweights “Fast” Eddie Chambers did just that, arriving at the site of his only professional loss in Germany to take on up-and-comer Alexander Dimitrenko for a mandatory shot at IBF, WBO and Ring Magazine Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko. Chambers, who has been criticized in the past for letting fights slip away, won a decision over Dimitrenko in spectacular fashion, perhaps looking the best he ever has in the ring. We will review the upset, analyze Chambers’ status among today’s Heavyweights and a possible match-up between he and Klitschko down the line should Wladimir make it past mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin in September. However, should Povetkin pull off a massive upset, it would set up a rematch for Chambers, and give him the chance to avenge his only defeat against Povetkin.

In addition, “On The Ropes” radio will bring you dual interviews with up-and-coming fighters NY Heavyweight Champion Darrel Madison, currently being guided through the ranks by Winky Promotions, and female fighter Lorissa Rivers with former/current trainer Jeff Mayweather. For the first time in two years, Jeff will be training Lorissa preceding their appearance on the program, as Jeff’s brother, Roger Mayweather, has recently trained her. Both fighters will be live to discuss their plans for establishing names in the sport of boxing, as well as outside activities used to establish their name value and raise awareness of their fighting careers.

Finally, OTR’s resident staff will preview the upcoming fights this weekend, the first of which is the return of former OTR guest Shaun George to Friday Night Fights, as he takes on Chris Henry in a 10 round Light Heavyweight contest. Then, Saturday July 11th features two Cruiserweight showdowns with Tomasz “Goral” Adamek vs. Bobby “The Celtic Warrior” Gunn and Steve “USS” Cunningham vs. Wayne “Big Truck” Braithwaite. Should both fights pan out the way most envision, it will possibly set up a rematch of Cunningham and Adamek’s 12 round Fight of the Year Candidate from last December. Also, Vic “Raging Bull” Darchinyan makes his debut in the Bantamweight division against IBF Champion Joseph “King Kong” Agbeko, hoping to win a world championship in his third weight class.

I was doing some show updates today and noticed the on Demand numbers for this past Mondays show episode that had ISH's Lamar Doom's appearance in the last 20 minutes of the show and I was shocked to see that it had higher re-play numbers then some of our higher profile guest episodes did, and this episode had only been available for 3 days, so its clear that Lamar Doom is a future star Internet star with his radio and video works, if he were to go and make a Chris Crocker type leave Charlie Zelenoff alone video he would enter superstardom

we don't get superstars of the sport :lol But he had quite a few World champions including Nate Campbell when most people considered him the Lightweight champion of the world...but the show Lamar was on had got some impressive numbers...not near Nate's....but its already in the top 10 after only a few days...which is surprising to say the least

Good show Jenna, it's so heavy handed though, you have THE main hate campaigners and nobody else on your show, not the fair and balanced journalistic integrity i would hope you'd strive for, you're giving tee ball layups and loaded questions to people you know are going to bag on him. All those guys are saying "lyrical murder" like Nick destroyed him, the only plus side to Nick's rap was that he took so much longer to do it studio style while charlie was just casually spitting in his apartment. lyrically i certainly wouldn't say nick ate him up, on the contrary really. I will say that i was impressed with how much effort nick put into his video. Can't knock him for that, i'm all for stuff like that where people are taking time to do the best they can. I'll try my best to call up next week and some of you ISHers that are on the Z-train need to call up and let these close minded monkeys know that not everybody is a nay saying hater. man up ISH, all for one.

Heres the deal, little charlie boy. You're pompous attitude and unfounded confidence are what drives the haters. You should shut your mouth and let your fists do the talking. Heres a training idea. Instead of watching all the press conference vids of how real tuff dudes act before a fight, you focus on your footwork or punching speed or something else useful. Blowing hot air is only setting you up to look like a complete failure.
