Good post. I grew up the 90's and was talking to my sister and I noted that there was no one during the 90's in the music world who equaled what Jackson was to the 80's and your generation. The only guy during our time who equaled the cultural impact M. Jack had on the 80's would be Michael Jordan in the 90's.

I feel bad for making fun of him several times over the years. The guy is a true legend. He is part of Americana, and indeed, world culture. Because of this a singer did not just die today. A small part of us died.

Jackson Family -- Demerol Shot Caused Death

A close member of Michael Jackson's family has told us Jackson received a daily injection of a synthetic narcotic similar to morphine -- Demerol -- and yesterday he received a shot at 11:30 AM.

Family members are saying the dosage was "too much" and that's what caused his death.

We've learned law enforcement is looking for a doctor who lived at Michael Jackson's home -- and the doctor is nowhere to be found.

Law enforcement sources tell us a BMW belonging to the doctor was towed from Jackson's home last night.

Cops are looking to interview the doc.

A law enforcement source says the doctor gave Jackson an injection before he died.

Jackson reportedly may have OD'd on Demerol. As we first reported, family members were concerned that Jackson was taking too much morphine.

That's sad.

RIP Michael Jackson. It's a shame that it is only now that I've been able to really appreciate you. Despite all his issues, you cannot deny that he is still a person with a good heart. This guy is at the top of the list when it comes to celebs who supported the most number of charities. He's been very generous and I think we should celebrate that.
