Tyler Hansbrough could miss up to two months with a right shin injury, but the Indiana Pacers believe their first-round draft pick will be healthy enough for the start of the season.

The Pacers did not provide details of the injury Friday other than to say the six-foot-nine forward is expected to miss six to eight weeks ahead of the season. The NBA regular season begins Oct. 27.

hes no center, unless the pacers have hatched some genius master plan.

regardless, i see his ceiling as a matt harpring type, with about half the strength. thats really not so bad. right?

Sounds like shin splints, hella painful. Seems like he had them all through his senior season and didn't hamper him too bad there. Long as he's ready for training camp.

Bad news for Tyler's preparation for the season. Hopefully he heals quickly. Can't wait to see him play at the season's start.

How is Tyler Hansborough's injury a sticky? Hmmmmm......I wonder if its because he's white.......you think if Gerald Henderson was out 2 months it would be a sticky? Doubt it.

Because he's a 4 time All-American and POY winner which garners a very high profile?

Not to mention that there would be about 5 threads made on the exact same subject if this wasn't stickied.

this isn't hockey, being able to stomach the sight of your own blood isn't exactly something that translates into playing professional basketball.

If he has mich of a career in the nba... he'll most likely be a career back up PF and maybe a few mins rarely as a 5 in a small lineup maybe

:confusedshrug: I like a hockey player coming in as my backup 4

I didn't watch him play that much or follow his college career, but didn't this guy like never miss a game?

he's well known from his college accomplishments dude..

but with that said, i agree that this site sometimes show favortism torward white and spain players... or player that are not black with comments like.

"KG is overrated! he needs Paul Pierce and Ray Allen to win a Championship. wow"

"Pau Gasol IS THE GREASTEST POWER FORWARD IN THE NBA! HIM AND KOBE MAKE A GREAT DUO!"
