Honestly, I dont think I've heard another Southern Rapper lately with as much Raw lyrics as Waka Flocka Flame. Pastor Troy comes close to it, but he wasnt as Raw as Waka Flocka Flame is. Real Goon Music, not manufactured Trap music.
Hes getting big up North, which isnt surprising because there are a lot of people who listen to Gucci Mane, Lil Boosie, and Lil Wayne here. But his music is starting to develop a cult following like the others.
In this genre of 25 % Lyrics, 75% Image I believe Waka could sell over 100K records, mainly to white suburban males who are most of the time fans of "Gangster Rap".

Thats funny because a lot of artists are making songs with Gucci Mane, you're not into them as well for associating themselves with Gucci?
Im not really into Gucci Mane, but Waka Flocka Flame Tell Lo To Bring The Chopper is much different. His music gets you pumped, this is the type of music you play in a Lockeroom before a game.

I can't believe how bad every one of those songs is. nothing redeemable. music for idiots. and you wonder why they say hip hop is dead. if they played that in my locker room i'd quit the team and burn the stadium. nothing survives.

Pastor Troy is one of the most underrated rappers in Hip Hop, period.
But Waka isnt lyrical or craft heartfelt songs like Troy, Waka is just more raw than Troy is in terms of lyrics.

Nah, that's their other Album, "'Till Death Do Us Part". I have that one too. That album probably has their two best songs on it, but IMO "The Last Supper" is a superior album as a whole.

Do you really want to know?
The type of music you listen to isnt really an indication on a person, people believe listening to only socio-politcal conscious rap makes them a socio-politcally conscious person. And they are somehow better than listening to certain artists, like Waka Flocka Flame.
I listen to a lot of different types of Hip Hop music, it keeps me balanced.:confusedshrug:

I agree. But somehow I still wonder how wacky guys like SB and Yung Joc get success, they don't really care about nothing but getting paper.
I can't stand a bad rapper telling how much ice he got, how he hustles and bust his guns. In the end, it's all about preferences and I won't complain. I won't listen to this, and that's all what matters to me.

Yeah, I agree.
I think its more of image, I dont want to hear the same thing from another generic artist with a generic name. Waka is pretty convincing with his raw lyrics, I think thats why I just got into his music.
