I'm stuck between a pit bull, rottweiler, or a Jindo. For those who don't know what a Jindo is.

They're really loyal and courageous, Koreans have a legend that had them fight a Siberian Tiger.

Well, they didn't fight them like dog fights, I worded it wrong. During the time that Japan had invaded South Korea, they tried to feed a siberian tiger in a cage by giving it 4 Jindo dogs. The 4 jindo dogs killed the tiger.

My parents have a pitbull (they didn't want it, brother sorta dropped it on them)... Anyways, amazing dog... Not the brightest but the biggest baby in the world. I go over some weekends and spend the night and it sleeps with me on the couch. Very loyal loving/loyal animal, if someone tried to harm me or the family they'd be taken out in pieces (but it loves people, you'd have to be aggressive with family for her to tear you up).

I have a Rottweiler and Boxer. Rottweiler is really protective of the house would probably kill someone if I'm not there or my dad and someone goes in backyard. But its friendly if one of us is with her.

The Boxer on the other hand is a retard. He is a very friendly dog.

Both are great dogs. Haven't had any problems.

Who cares about being different. It's a dog, not a ****ing car. Get what you like....out of those three, it's a tie between a Pit or the Jindo. I have never even heard of a Jindo but that is a nice looking dog...

Akitas are bad ass dogs too....a buddy of mine had 2 that wanted to eat me everytime I looked at them. My next dog is going to be either a purebred Akita or Doberman though. Good luck

I think that's a misconception.
It is a misconception, if they are raised in the correct manner. I've known people who have had some pits that are very calm and excellent pets.

However, the major problem that I have with pits is that, if they do get into a fight with another dog, there is a chance that they could kill it. That is a serious problem for me and the main reason that I would never own a pit or allow my two weimaraners around a pitbull.

Almost all dogs will occasionally get into skirmishes with other dogs. With a pitbull, it can be fatal.

Personally, I love sport dogs (weimaraners, labs, etc.). But, if you don't have the time to run them or you don't live in an area with large fields for them to run, they probably aren't the best choice.

For a dog that doesn't require a huge amount of exercise and are relatively low maintenance, I would prefer a boxer. From the dogs you listed, it seems as though you have a thing for dogs that have been bred to fight. Just out of curiosity, why are those the only kind of dogs that you are considering?

Rott can be great family pet, good with children, smart, loyal, protective.
Pit can be good family pet too, but not so bright and easily can have problems with other dogs.
I dont know about Jindo...

I own a german shepherd dog, she's 3.5 months old now and she's amazingly smart and pleased about her. So from my point of gsd is great dog and i recommend on. From ur 3 best is rott.

jindo's are over rated, dam koreans over exagerate everything, they're smaller versions of akitas, a pit will destroy it in a heart beat, if your gonna get one don't get it for it's exagerated fighting abilities

boxers are the dumbest dogs in the world, i don't know why but they are

rotts are badazz! but big responsibility if you can handle one than get one of those

pits are dumb also (not as much as a boxer) they tear through everything, but as they mature they tend to chill out and become more smarter, they look nice but also are a lot of responsibility

puggles are my choice, they are dope not to dumb, small easier to maintain then bigger dogs, and they are not pus ys, and females love em great to pick up bi t hes

we got a rescue dog, those are the best because they just need love. purebreds are cool but there's a lot of bad ass dogs out there that need saving and there's plenty of middle aged white people to buy the pure breeds. we had a DNA test done and she was 25% staffordshire terrier and that was the largest percentage of anything (ie- basically a mutt).

Dont you get tired of telling people how to live their life? How about minding your own business? Getting on your knees and thinking of another man five times a day isn't too far from cleaning a dog's shit, both are bitch work you gotta get through.

And back to the OP...

It's called sincere advice. And prayer is directed to The Creator...not a man.

The poster, shiver, is both highly studious and also religious too. I'm saying that he can channel his energies into those two things as opposed to caring for a dog which comes with a lot of responsibilities.

How big of a puppy is it? And to think I used to feel bad for our puppies couped up in the 40x60 foot courtyard at my parent's home when I was growing up :lol

They would be whining incessantly watching the free adult dogs on other side of fence while the adults were free roam seemingly saying "Naa, na, naa, na, na, naa" to the puppies as they strolled past the fence

Well she was born three weeks ago so around 5-10lbs, I wont have her until week 8 obviously. I have an acre of land but my intention is crate training with a 42'' & divider. I have a beach house which is a reverse floor plan. Living room and kitchen is on the top 3rd floor which is where that pen is so she stays out of the kitchen and I'm cooking. The 2nd floor is where my bedrooms are and where her crate will be to sleep and when we're gone until the dog sitter stops by.

EDIT: i realized i didnt answer your question. That playpen is 24sqft, 6'x4' and about 30'' high. There is absolutely no shame in crate training - in fact, the most obedient dogs are crate trained. Obedience is importance for me as I'm planning on having a child, hence the AKC Golden Retriever breed selection.

I love Goldens, just not the hair. We used to have mostly chocolate labs and Rottweilers growing up. I still carry the collar of one slung around the head rest post in my pickup along with all the goose and duck bands she retrieved. She probably had 2500 ducks and 500 geese under her belt when she died.

Still have our chihuahuas at home. They're good toy dogs and are easy to raise since they don't leave big craps, as well as they don't mess with trash. Also, they're mighty alert than the other breeds we have. My only main gripe is that mortality rate is high after birth since the pups are very small and frail but once they get past that stage, it's all good.
