Orlando:

Nelson 35 mpg/ Williams 13 mpg
Carter 34 mpg/ Pietrus 14 mpg
Pietrus 20 mpg/ Lewis 12 mpg / Barnes 16 mpg
Lewis 22 mpg/ Bass 22 mpg/ Gortat or Anderson 4 mpg
Howard 35 mpg/ Gortat 13 mpg

I like Williams as an upgrade over Anthony Johnson.. This is how I see the regular season minutes being distributed..

if theres no lebron, then i dont expect to see the 4 spot ever score at a consistent basis at anytime during the game.

Depth chart = How the minutes will be divided.. first off the bench at a certain position... so you are partially right so a lot of that has to do with who is in foul trouble and tired...

Currently I should say it looks something like this:

Toronto

Bargnani Nesterovic O'Bryant
Bosh Evans Johnson
Turkgulo Wright Weems
DeRozan Belinelli Douby
Calderon Jack Banks

IA List: O'Bryant, Weems & Banks

But BC is still making minor roster moves (Banks for Carroll?) but the prime rotation spots look to be cemented as future training camp battles will take place for actual playing time.

As of right now:

PG: Baron Davis (33) - Sebastian Telfair (10) - Mardy Collins (5)
SG: Eric Gordon (35) - Rasual Butler (10) - Mardy Collins (3)
SF: Al Thornton (28) - Rasual Butler (15) - Steve Novak (5)
PF: Blake Griffin (35) - Marcus Camby (10) - Craig Smith (3)
CE: Marcus Camby (20) - Chris Kaman (24) - DeAndre Jordan (4)

Inactive: Mark Madsen & Ricky Davis

It sucks because I want to give DeAndre Jordan more playing time, but the front court is so stacked with three superior players.

No a depth chart shows the order at each position, a rotation shows how the minutes are divided.

Hibbert/Foster/Solo Jones
Murphy/Hansbrough/McRoberts
Granger/Dunleavy
Rush/Dunleavy/Jones
Ford/Watson/AJ Price/Diener

I really have no clue how the minutes will shake out. I was scared of seeing a Ford/Watson backcourt at times, but with recent reports looking stellar with Dunleavy's knee, I'm assuaged a bit. Solo Jones, Price, Diener, and McBob will see scant minutes, Diener probably sitting in a suit most of the time. Dunleavy, whenever he's back, will be brought along slowly. And I anticipate Watson overtaking Ford for the starting 1 spot eventually.

Hawks:

PG: Bibby, Teague
SG: Johnson, Crawford, West (expected to return on one year deal)
SF: Williams, Evans
PF: Josh Smith, Joe Smith
C: Horford, Pachulia, Morris

The Hawks need another big, another point guard (with size) and a reserve shooter.

Add Jason Collins, Jason Hart and Wally World via minimum contracts to round out the roster.

Of course a trade of JJ for LBJ or Wade would be nice.

Maybe. We'll see.

Don't know what other shooters are out there that can be had for minimum.

Of course, I wouldn't mind AI at full MLE. The Hawks would still be under the luxury tax if they did that.

That would give the Hawks a reserve unit of AI, JC, Evans, Joe Smith, Pachuila. Pretty solid bunch.

PG - Arenas (34), Foye (14), Crittenton (as matchups dictate), James (never)

Wiz have a lot to prove, because they talk SO MUCH for a team that has struggled in so many areas. Their fans talk to, as if the jump back up is going to happen. I really do not like their franchise, but I must admit the lineup above actually includes some winners.

Foye...Miller...Butler...and Oberto all are players whom could get it done in many situations. Arenas needs for things to be perfect, because he is really just going to shoot the ball. Love Jamison's game, but I sometimes really wonder about his ability when it really counts. Haywood - I would not want this guy anywhere near my team during a big game. He freaks - positively or negatively - on anything that happens. And Stevenson.....seriously.

Regardless...the Wizards have added some nice pieces.

so this is the real definition of depth charts, the professional way is to keep players at the position they will play first, not where they will help when rotation moves around. none of us know exactly where each player will play off the bench, u guys r predicting depth charts. this here what i did is pretty much set in stone.

Rose / Pargo / Hunter
Hinrich
Deng / Salmons/ Taj Gibson
Tyrus Thomas/ James Johnson
Noah / Miller / Gray (will return) / Jerome James

hinrich will be a started SG, with salmons covering him at back up when hes not covering SF

Kirk isn't going to start over Salmons. James Johnson is a small forward while Taj Gibson is a power forward.

just wanna throw in the Mavs chart

Kidd / Barea
Terry / Buckner / Carroll
J. Howard / Tim Thomas / Q. Ross
Marion / Gooden / Humphries
Nowitzki / Dampier

pretty versatile team, lacking a good SG as always since Finley left, but a good playoff team once again, not championship contenders though. PICK UP IVERSON!!! whats cuban thinking

Kidd/Barea/Beaubois
Howard/Terry/Buckner/Carroll
Marion/Ross/Williams
Dirk/Thomas/Humphries
Dampier/Gooden/Jawai

(will have to be trimmed down)

yes he is, he started over salmons last year, salmons is perfect off the bench, he can give them the scoring power and he can play pg, sg and sf

i see them trying out small ball which phoenix was succesful at, plus they still have dampier and gooden to throw in if they get too undersized during a game, i dont see them playing marion at sf, thats where hes least effective and its been proven. beaubois isnt even signed yet, mite not come this year, would be great addition, somethin like the next barbosa possibly

the possibilities of the lineup are mavs best advatnage

kidd, terry, howard, marion, nowitzki

kidd, howard, marion, nowitzki, gooden

kidd, howard, marion, nowtizki, dampier

just imagine if they get iverson, then the championship is in sight. theyre a tall team now, still young with kidd the only exception. maybe theyll play defense now.

Yes, we will see plenty of small ball this year from the Mavs, but not to start the game and not against bigger teams.

They have said that Howard will start at the 2 and Marion will start at the 3.

And hell no to the Iverson idea.

some of you guys are terrible at this depth chart stuff, doing some half assed ****, dividing minutes when that has nothin to do with a depth chart, but anyways, im here to properly show you the upcoming seasons depth charts by correctiong yours.........

RAPTORS
done by Dr. Hoopenstein:

Bargnani Nesterovic O'Bryant
Bosh Evans Johnson
Turkgulo Wright Weems
DeRozan Belinelli Douby
Calderon Jack Banks

my chart:

calderon / jack / banks
derozan / belinelli / douby
turk / wright / weems
bosh / bargnani/ evans / johnson
nesterovic / o'bryant

if anything, bosh plays C, and bargnani plays PF/SF, other than that, good job

Do you watch any Raptor's basketball as Barg's is the starting C especially after signing that 50 million dollar extension & Boshs' skinny body is the starting PF- barring injuries.

Barg's does not, let me repeat- does not play any SF, that experiment blew up in Toronto's face last season and helped to cost Sam Mitchell his head coaching job. Barg's is strickly a C/PF.

Rasho is the back up C & POB (should be waived- bought out if not traded) is the 3rd string C. REvans & AJohnson will battle in camp for the back up PF spot.

Jay Triano just gave an interview ie TSN.ca, and said basically the same as I posted up.

Many Heat fans will disagree but IMO...

Mario Chalmers/Quinn/Wade
D.Wade/Cook/Richardson
Richardson/Wright/Beasley/Jones
Haslem/Beasley
Jermaine O'Neal/Anthony/Magloire

I say Beasley start at SF. & do you realy see Wright getting min over Jones, who started for us last year in the playoffs?

Chalmers-(Vet pg unsigned yet)-Quin
Wade-Cook-QRich
Beasley-Jones-Cuba
Haslem- (un drafted rook/vet min)-Wright
JO-BigKat-Anthoney.

Of Course most of these players play multi positions so expect them to switch around allot.

Man nobody can get the knicks roster right...

PG: Duhon/Douglas/ Hughes
SG: Hughes/Chandler/ Douglas
SF: Chandler/ Gallianri/ Harrington
PF: Harrington/ Gallinari/ Hill
C: Milicic/ Hill/ Curry

Projected record: 0-82

This is assuming we dont get Lee or Robinson back. If we do then itd look like this.

PG: Duhon/ Robinson/ Douglas
SG: Hughes/ Robinson/ Douglas
SF: Chandler/ Gallinari/ Harrington
PF: Lee/ Harrington/ Hill
C: Milicic/ Hill/ Curry/ Lee

Projected Record: 10-72

This is assuming we get Ramon Sessions, which would mean we wouldnt get Robinson.

PG: Sessions/ Duhon/ Douglas
SG: Hughes/ Chandler/ Douglas
SF: Chandler/ Gallinari/ Harrington
PF: Lee/ Harrington/ Hill
C: Milicic/ Hill/ Lee/ Curry

This roster gives us the best shot not to go 0 and 82.
