I don't really follow the street ball slang, but they say "Get JAY'D!!" when someone shoots a jump shot over a defender. When someone tells you that you can hit a shot and you make it, some guys say "in ya mouth!!". Some guys also yell "Swing that!!" when they want a pass at the 3 point line.

i think terms like gunnin, sonnin, hack, are universal. people used to get real specific in comparing players attributes to players out on the court. "drexler, look up once in a while".

that reminds of me this friend i had. we used to ball till we falled, a nice little backcourt. he was a vietnamese ben gordan. anyway, he hits a game winner and i say something about the viet kong getting up in that ass to the team who was coming on. i guess it was inappropriate.

he pulls me to the side and tells me how fuct up that was. it was..? in retrospect maybe, but he used to make jokes about pol pot and the rouge.. what if there were cambodians out there?

i guess it is never a good idea to bring up the killing fields or the nazis during pick up basketball. when basketball at a university or diverse park gets heated, race is usually one of the first things that comes up.

Swagger Jacker- Used to describe anybody with a Chuck Hayes looking jumper.

Yeah it's about the same here except sometimes players will say "ball" rather than "pass" sometimes, depending on how high the demand is for the basketball at that particular moment.
