Seriously, whats the point? They are mind numbingly terrible to me! I honestly dont care if my friends have tats or if that famous guy on tv has some or even neck tats on people who serve me food and shiet at mcdonalds, but when somebody CLOSE to me gets a tat I really REALLY start tweaking out.
Im not comfortable saying why, but nothing bothers me worse then this. Anybody else feel this way?
EDIT: and yes, someone close to me did just get a tattoo and its really really bothering me.

Sometimes I shake my head at certain peoples' tattoos, such as my old friend getting his initials tattooed in 14 font on his bicep to celebrate his 18th birthday, but the only time it really phases me is with my girl. I do not favor a female with a tat. For anyone else, it is what it is, I would not recommend them but who am I to say.

Tatts are an in thing, if a few years they'll wonder why there boy is covered in ink.
My homeboy is all ready regretting all his tatts. He's 22 now and got damn near all of them right after he graduated high school

If you don't like them, just don't get them. I'm sure there are people who hate the music you listen to, the cloths you wear, or things you do. Nothing wrong with people using their body as a canvas as long as it's thought out. Why the hell would it bother you if someone else gets a tattoo? Getting bothered over what someone does with their body is more ridiculous than tattoos. I could understand getting upset over drug use and other harmful things, but tattoo? Are you f*cking kidding me?

This is someone who I thought could be the goddamn mother of my children, it shouldnt concern me what they do to themselves but IT DOES and I HONESTLY question myself if I love her the same way...
Its like she says god didnt make her good enough, so she has to liven herself up a lil bit and take matters into her own hands... when I thought she was already good enough as it is?!?!?! AND THAT SHITS PERMANENT. It bothers me LESS that she is a day drinker for someone her age because thats something she can still grow out of, THIS SHIT IS PERMANENT.
look, im all for free speech and using it as whatever you want but how you could do that to yourself is beyond me...

I dont believe I have ever had a disagreement with you before over anything ever but if you were in the room right now I would have hit you.
I always thought I could change her and live dangerously and I gave everything I ever had to this girl, but this is just another step in the direction that tells me that I would rather be self-righteous then unhappy because now I know I cant change people... She knows exactly how I felt and she did it anyways. If she loved me then she would have at least considerd it instead of running off to Maui for a week and getting it there... the fact that she felt the need to sneak off and do it...
dont ever say I didnt love her.

Nice, you'd hit me if we were in a room? What a laugh. I'd beat your little whiney ass then bang your lady.
But anyway...I understand you being upset about it, but when you go as far as saying that it effects your love for her, then you need to question if you actually do love that person. If it were true love, nothing like a tattoo could effect that. How old are you?

Is it the fact that she did it behind your back that has you so mad? Did she lie about it to you or come out and tell you she got it? If you really love this girl then you could be making a mistake holding something so trivial against her. Is she doing a lot of things that run counter to your beliefs and how you live your life?

Damn, you're a mess right now, man. The reason I ask for your age because this seems very immature and selfish of you . A tattoo has no effect on a child, and a tattoo does not define anyone as a person.
It's probably best if you and this girl go separate ways. From what you're saying, you two do not hold the same values and beliefs. That's really important for the long run.

Ah, gotcha. Had a feeling religion would play a part in it. A tat can be easily explained away and used as a clear example of what not to do from experience if she ends up regretting it. It does seem like you're both going in different directions though.

I don't have tattoos, and I can honestly say aside from my parents and three of my closest friends, everyone else I know has a tattoo or two or many more. Some of the times you can't even see them, so I ask, "what's the point?"
If you're not into tattoos, then don't even think about getting one to please friends or family. Costly, painful things that will stick with you for life. Not to mention there have been studies out there that prove tattoos decrease your lifespan for some individuals.

All I can say is make sure you let yourself relax a bit and think things through more clearly before making a decision on the direction you take with the relationship. So she is the best thing that has happend to you, but the question of the day is, can you take the worst things about her personality without it driving you nuts everytime? That kind of stuff is the root of unhealthy relationships, and for her sake, as well as yours, you need to answer this to yourself.

Tats are personal for some people. All you nerds objecting to them are homos. Yes, I said "nerds". Painfully obvious. You guys don't know what's up. Don't understand the psychology behind tats and never will because all you do is probably just play "basketball". You can't appreciate them if you can't understand them. If you don't like em that's fine but going out of your way to **** on people who do have them is stupid.

99% of people that get tats just get them for decoration dude...that is almost all there is to understand (even though the person with the tats may say otherwise)...someone is trying to look cool...and that is all it is...
I think that in general tats look bad...like 90% of the time I would say they are poorly done and look just trashy...but there are plenty of examples of people that can pull them off well...both men and women...
Tommy Lee is getting old, he has been sleeved out since the 80s...and I think he pulls it off well...

The thing about tattoos now is so many people have them, that ALL of the charm of getting them is damn near absolete.
Gone are the days when a select few could rock a tattoo....now you get joe blow, and susie Q with tattoos as well....everyone's mother, grandmothers, and so on ALL have tattoos....it makes you not even WANT one.
You have fools that are like 18, getting tats? Stupid.
Ive seen people with RANDOM ass tattoos too...I could see if you get a beatiful piece done on you that can survive time, and still be a great piece of artwork on your body.....but ive seen GARBAGE ass tattoos on people lately...

if i may add my 2 cents.. f.y.i i have a tattoo on my left upper arm... covered when wearing a short sleeved shirt.
I would like to say, when i was in highschool i DID NOT want to get a tattoo because it started becoming a fad. Like people just wanted one to get one, as a decoration and some kids just wanted to look "thug"... Iv always been a fan of tats but that turned me away because i didn't want to be one of this idiots.
but as i got a little older, it is a personal decision. my tat to me is personal, an artwork, and to me means more than just ink. i know many with tats have said that but thats the truth believe or not.
some people really are appreciate the art in tattoos. some people are just in it for the fad and others just plain don't get it, which is fine. tattoos have a culture on its own, were talking tribes, other cultures, and even modern society. I know it's starting to be a fad thus losing some of it's value and i hate that part of it too.
TO THE OP: as far as your personal problems go with tats i guess its just one of those things that you dislike that you really can't explain. i mean a lot of people dislike tats but i can tell you really really dont like em. iono wat to tell ya, but that's what i have to say about it.

No. He doesnt need therapy because he doesnt like them. He honestly just needs to question, regardless of his love for her.....if this is the right woman for HIM.
You dont have to like tattoos on someone, and i think his frustraition stems from the fact that he digs her, but she isnt 100% who he would like her to be...tattoos, and whatever else is up with her...
I believe the mention of "i tried to change her" was thrown in there....and that is a clear indication that she is not for him, and it is time to move on.

to the op.
i am mormon and i have a tattoo. i dont think god loves me any less.
i dont think your girl got a tat to make you upset or hurt your feelings. she probably got it simply cuz she wanted to and thought it would be cool. if down the line she regrets it then so be it, thats on her and she has to live with it.
why dont you talk it out with her, tell her how you feel about it and see why she really got it.
dont rush into anything because your upset right now. if you love her that much, and she loves you the same. you will eventually get over it, if not then thats just what was meant to be. if you and this girl are meant to be it will all work out fine...
i wish you the best of luck

Meh, I don't have a problem with it. It's your own body so people can do what they want with it imo anyway. One thing I do think is stupid is people getting one for the sake of it. Do I really need to see a million and one tribal signs on people's arms? Most of the time the people don't even know what their tattoo means or signifies. But if it genuinely means something to you, then go for it I say.
I do agree a whole canvas of tattoos on a lady for me is a big turn off. Sometimes just a little one on their waist or ass or something is hot though.
I personally don't think I'll ever get one, as I don't have any need for one right now.

A bit of a paradox.
So you have a motto, or you really like a phrase or a word and decide to get it as a tattoo. But you get in it Chinese which no one you know including yourself can read.
But if you don't want people to know what it means why the **** would you tattoo it on your body in the first place?
In the end, Chinese characters are a lot more prettier than the alphabet though.

A chinese symbol on a white guy is for himself, and not for others?
He wanted it to say "peace and unity"....little did he know....it read "pork fried rice"

and I said im QUESTIONING whether or not it changes things... because I dont know. I still dont know... ive looked the other way on a lot of things, but this she is already allmost too much for me to keep up with and while I never want to tame her I do want her to slow down and realize what she has right in front of her.
and really? a tat could never effect it? think about it... someday if we were married and had kids then what will they think of their mother? huh? what will they think of me for letting things slide and what does that say about my expectations of them, hmmmmm? THE TAT DOESNT BOTHER ME PERSONALLY SO MUCH AS THE EFFECTS OF IT AND WHAT IT MEANS AS THE STEPS SHE IS TAKING AS A PERSON TO BECOMING AN ADULT... ill always love her. Even if i leave over this... she will always have a piece of my heart.
and yea your right, my age makes it so i got no clue wtf im doing...

Its like she says god didnt make her good enough, so she has to liven herself up a lil bit and take matters into her own hands...
Do you feel the same way when she puts make up on, puts clothes on, does her hair, nails, etc.? What does God have to do with it?

But it is the general rule of thumb seeing how Bench Pressin', Military Pressin', Overhead Tricep Extendin, One Arm Flip Passin' will increase the elbow extension of your arm, clownbag.
Sure, there are exceptions of folks who do hundreds of reps of punching and do the proper hip rotation with it, and pyramid up with small weights.. but why should one be scared of a lilun over a large guy who has ACCESS to yo PHACE. 140 is a lot for 5'2 btw.

When they fought, did they exchange fist for fist at the same body part? I've seen similar instances; matter of fact, the best wrestler in my school is 5'9" 150 pounds (he plays with larger people off-season) and is a complete freak. But, when I schedule my cagefights, I usually steer clear of 220+ poudners ya dig?
The manlet they called step_back insinuated that small fries were the more successful potato in the patch with that arrogant tone. Size intimidates, size scared, and with size comes strength. Many exceptions, but it's in our nature to correlate the two.

Yeah, if they studied karate or something like that. But between two non-martial-artists, the bigger guy always has the advantage. Especially when the fight is on the ground. Speed is useless in a fight.

:oldlol: You cannot be serious. If you are fast enough, the fight wont even get to the ground. I remember when I fought this white kid and gave him the slip when tried to take me down. After that, I was in the zone tearing him up with shots. BTW, I am not the best fighter, but I was not going to let him beat my ass after what he did. No way.

I have my whole leg covered. I decded that would be the only body part I ink up since I can cover it as I continue onto school. Who knows maybe one day I will regret it but I always say to myself that this is who i am, these tattoos were a part of me in a moment in my life and whether I regret them later I have a story to tell as to who I was and what I was thinking. like Jay Z said " In order to survive you gotta learn to live with regrets" ( Jay Z - Regrets)

I always go in and out of phases of, do I want one, do I not want one. I'm currently not into the idea of getting one. I was big on tattoos not too long ago, I love the art, but I just got bored of it.
Just like other fads, it looses it's magic after a while and you move on.
I'm not saying that I'll never get one, but right now, I'm not going to get one. I might get one in the future, but not the near future. It's not something I'm interested in at the moment.

Stupid.
Ive seen people with RANDOM ass tattoos too...I could see if you get a beatiful piece done on you that can survive time, and still be a great piece of artwork on your body.....but ive seen GARBAGE ass tattoos on people lately...
so, the only reason to get a tat is cause no one else has them? What about the origins of tattoos? They were kinship/band markings that everyone in that cultural circle had. That was the whole point of them, a shared sense of identity.
People who do stuff just to be different are as stupid as the people who wont do something they want to do because of the judgements of others.

There are tasteful tattoos and there are distasteful tattoos. The majority of tat's in my opinion are distasteful and just lame.
On females it's usually tramp stamps as illustrated here:
http://kylewebs.files.wordpress.com/2008/11/tramp-stamp-10.jpg
Dudes it's tattoo's that look like this:
http://tattoodesignspictures.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/chest-tattoo-for-men1.jpg
I mistakenly got a few tattoo's when I was 16. Luckily they aren't very big. One of my biggest turn on's is a girl with nice art.

He just said weight does not automatically increases power. I know a couple of dudes who are black belts in karate. I'm a lot bigger than they are but they can punch way harder than me. And they also know to hit where it hurts.

ok, yeah...someone who knows how to throw a proper punch and put all their body weight into it vs. an a uncordinated big fat wuss that hits like a girl happens...
I am just saying that "in general" the bigger/stronger guy hits harder...given that both he and the smaller guy have the same technique...

I know the division is piss right now but I would have to believe a 50-70 lb size advantage would be way too much for Mayweather to handle...

Actually, even the size of your arm isn't really important. The most important muscle when you throw a punch is your ass.

Do you know how to read? I never said that so don't put words in my mouth. I made a point that just because you are big it doesn't mean you know how to punch or fight. I would take a well trained fighter against a large novice anyday.
Now don't misquote me again.

You didn't properly read my post. I said people are naive to think that just because you are big and strong you know how to throw a good punch and fight. My point has nothing to do with the intimidation or overall mass of someone it has to do with being a trained fighter > size
