John Drew, the guy Atlanta traded for Dominique Wilkins. Was a 22-7 guy in his prime, and has a career average of 20.7 in less than 30 minutes per game. Too bad he got banned for substance abuse.

Still does not make me feel any better about the Jazz trading Dominique away. I know the two million in cash that came with him meant that the team could stay in SLC, but still...

He's not a hall of famer, but Charles Oakley was always one of my favorite players. I feel that his impact was underrated. The best outlet passer of his era, one of the best rebounders, a tough defensive player, a good mid-range shooter and a good passer in the post.

Sprewell was a great choice as well. Great defender, excellent scorer(could score in so many ways), damn good playmaker, athletic player who could finish at the rim or make 3's as well as everything in between(post, mid-range).

-Latrel Sprewell: Don't focus on the negative, remember the mans game

:applause:

his explosive prime was mini-jordan-wannabe-like. he played with what most people here on ish refer to as "street hunger."

his defense was tenacious, just played the up-your-ass-i hate-everything-about-you-and-you-ain't-scoring-sh!t-tonight type of defense. and his offense was the same mentality - straight up angry and vicious, mothaf...gga.

spree had the skills and he just came at your ass hard on both ends of the court.

Good to see Allan Houston getting some credit. He was a great offensive player and one of my favorite shooters to watch. He was an excellent shooter off the dribble, he could make mid-range shots and 3's as well as anyone in the league. He could also create his own shot very well too which is why he had those 50 point games in 2003, I believe.

Starks was another favorite mine. Great defender, not afraid to take big shots, athletic, very good 3 point shooter, good playmaker and he formed an excellent pick and roll combo with Ewing.

I still have John Starks and Allan Houston jerseys.

You should also create your own thread and name it "I am the Greatest hoops fan ever. Get to know my views on the game" Oops yeah your usename says it all you're the GOAT :oldlol: :oldlol:

People here have their own preference. They have their own standard of choosing who should be that and who should be this.

You are too damn affected on trolls all over this board. Get used to it man.

I wish there was still good basketball conversation like this on the forum. Good posters with good insight. As for my forgotten/underrated mention I'll go with mark Aguirre he may not be the most forgotten but I feel people only remember his couple years on those championship Pistons squads and forgot how he used to carry the Mavericks for close to a decade. Dude could score at will, If it wasn't for the showtime lakers I'm sure you would've seen the mavs make the finals at least one of those years and mark could've had a ring or two as the top dog as opposed to his role on the Pistons which wasn't short by any means but he wasn't the top dog.

I always thought peak Kevin Johnson was a beast. He used to torch Magic and the Lakers in the late 80's/early 90's. One of the most explosive and quickest small men ever and could get to the rack at will. At 6'1", he has two of the most memorable in-game dunks in history (Olajuwon and J. Williams), which is a testament to his amazing athleticism.

Well said.

KJ is one of the GOAT point guards, no doubt. Well and truly forgotten/underrated on this message board, probably due to the younger age demographic of the majority of posters here.

It was a joy to have witnessed him play.
