Alright so I just watched Reservoir Dogs (I'm not sure why that's include...maybe for context?) and I was talking to this old friend about black gangster movies. Basically it's this:

There's Snatch, Lock Stock, Goodfellas, Reservoir Dogs, Scarface, The Godfather, American Gangster, etc. And they're all these wonderful movies about certain crime cultures, so I'm wondering are there quality black gangster movies about modern "black culture"?

I've seen few Snoop Dog's movies. I think they are horrible.

Organized or unorganized?

Unorganized genre was huge in the mid 90's. Menace, Juice, Boyz In The Hood, South Central.....
They haven't made a really good one of late.

I saw it, my bro was hyping it up saying it was good. I found it kinda boring, wouldn't watch it again...

Well there's obviously American Gangster as most people will suggest, but another "black gangster movie" that entertained me was State Property with Beanie Sigle, Freeway, the Young Gunz etc... I'm not saying its great but it was entertaining to watch.

:oldlol: Lots of confusion. This was directed at someone else, who was mad at me for a comment I directed at yet another person. The first person said American Gangster so I said I used the word modern in the OP. Then I asked another guy for a description of the title he posted.
