MJ's shooting form isn't that great IMO. It's a form really only he can utilize because he gets an insane amount of elevation on his jumpers and he has those massive hands. If anyone else were to use it they'd be shooting airballs. JJ Redick's form > > > > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>MJ's form

Not even a comparison. Kobe is a legendary shooter who set the benchmark for all great shooters to come. He can pull up, spot up, fadeaway, midrange, ad nauseum. It doesn't even matter what's in front of him.

Jordan had the best shooting form in the 90's, Kobe has the best shooting form today

Jordan's form circa 1997 has not been matched by Kobe or Mayo. It was flawless.

your pics and thread is just based on one shot of the shooting motion. you can take the worst looking angle of the shooting motion and pass it off as evidence. not the best way to show it

that being said. i nominate Bill Cartwright.

Out of those, Mayo. Perfect arc, MJ and Kobe shoot line drives.

I'd say Kobe, overall. I think he has the best-looking form among the three, in my opinion. However, I don't like his shot since it has almost no arc.

1.Jordan
2.Kobe

3.Mayo

Mayo's is kinda ugly with his elbow all sticking out.

I am a MJ homer, i hate Kobe, and I don't give a **** about Mayo.

Kobe

hater

ppl shooting form requires beef balance eyes elbows follow through and nobody does that better in the NBA than OJ Mayo. He is truly the closest thing we have to a jumpshot Jesus.

Michael Jordan form had no wasted motion, that is something i really like about it and he had such a violent flick of the wrist or follow through.

Kobe holds the ball with his left hand slightly in front of the ball and his jumpers are linedrives idk how he can knock them down all the time like that

OJ Mayo is the closest thing to be a jump shot jesus because of his arc. Nobody in the NBA has such a high arc on their jumpers. Like it looks so pretty, because it looks like it has no chance of going in the all of the sudden nothing but the bottom of the net.

i think Kobe has the nicest form, MJ's is the most efficient, and Mayo's is definitely pretty also. i'd say Kobe, MJ and Mayo though, in that order.

Why was Jordan's form only flawless during 1997?

How has Kobe's form changed over the years?
He broke his hand early in his career, and the placement and use of his guide hand has changed. He commented on how he tweaked his form some years ago ... forget where I read it.
