It will be 12 teams and H2H. I prefer Yahoo, but that's up for discussion. The league has not been created, this is NOT first come first serve. Myself and MarloStanfield will choose who we'd like to join us.

I just assumed the underscore, didn't think it was possible to have a space in your username. I've never used CBS but I've heard you talk it up before and that news posting stuff does sound cool. I don't really care where we do it, I've just always used Yahoo.

the only advantage to yahoo is you can fully customize a league for free, cbs will charge you for that but i always play by their system so it's fine.

their roster:

4 forward
4 guard
1 center
1 utility
3 bench

there is no dual position eligibility in their standard H2H leagues


scoring:

pts = 1pt
rbs = 1pt
ast = 2pt
stl = 1pt
blk = 1pt
to = -1pt

scores are totalled and averaged by games played that week.

how it's different than what you might be used to:

*if you play 5/8 category leagues or roto you're used to overvaluing players who are strong in departments like steals, blocks, and 3's. I never liked that. This system doesn't benefit specialists, more of an overall player system with obvious emphasis on scoring, rebounding, and assists.

*no more worrying about how many games played each week (DNPs are not factored into the average, i personally love this, makes for some interesting strategical decisions in lineups)


bar none the best fantasy home page in fantasy sports, this is for one of their fantasy football leagues but it's virtually identical to the basketball layout:

customizable color scheme (a lot of blues/purples for me on this one, most leagues i go brown/beige or blue/grey), all the content is click & drag so you can put stuff wherever you want. the "league top story" is worth the price of admission alone, making stories with pictures/video is tits.

the only downside is that cbs has the worst basketball writers of the "big" sites. embarassingly slow with player information and insanely bad editorials. I don't get my basketball news from them anyway so it doesn't matter to me but that's the only thing that keeps them from being a full service fantasy juggernaut.

I say we use PTS, REBS, ASTS, BLKS, STLS, 3PTM, FG%, FT%. Then either A/TO or TOs. I can go either way with 3PT%.

Yeah, pretty standard then. I'm indifferent on TOs or A:TO. Both work fine in my experience. Not a fan of 3pt% though

For anyone that failed to get into this league, I started another league called IH 2nd Generation League. Yahoo total points league with the live draft set for the night of Sunday October 25th. It's not a dictatorship league like this one, anyone and everyone is worthy in my book. I've never seen someont make people beg to play in a fantasy league. There are 1000's of leagues out there.
