Atlanta Hawks Are Getting Alternate Jersey

i know you guys are going to want to see picture of this third jersey, but there are none. I was checkin out the hawks website today and i saw this little countdown thing they were doing until the first Hawks game.

the color red has always been apart of sports teams in Atlanta. Hawks, falcons, braves, thrashers.

The hawks main colors are red and blue, I don't see why they shouldn't have red alternates


and also let me remind everyone, that picture of Josh smith is not what the hawks alternate jerseys are going to look like. No information about it has been released and I just posted that picture to maybe give you an idea of what they might look like.

This design was actually one my least favorite. It looks so tacky to me with the gradients and the big Hawk all over it. I guess I just prefer a more minimalistic and classic look.

As for the new alternates, I didn't expect they were actually gonna go with this design, but they look alright. Not many teams can pull off abbreviated lettering on their jerseys.

I truly felt in all my years of watching/learning the NBA the vibrant red/yellow was the Hawks' identity.

I was pissed on Draft Day when they gave Acie Law that bland navy crap! I'm not even a Hawks fan but I loved the Wilkins' scheme.

Red/Yellow= Hawks basketball!

How many freaking teams in sports have a navy/red combo? Too many

I also hate that new Hawk head logo. Looks far too similar to the Thrashers. I swear and curse the Marketing/ Development team for the Atlanta Hawks. New is not always improved
