A bat was flying around in circles 5 feet above the court, disrupting play like 3 times. it flies by Manu and he snatches it out of midair and hands it to the custodian.

I'm scared of bats. Sometimes I go biking on a trail late at night and there are just swarms of bats in some places. The way they fly as if they have no control over themselves is terrifying. Sometimes they will sort of divebomb you because they are easily confused and don't have nearly the flight control of birds or bugs. None of this would bother me except for the nagging fact that bats are basically the main (might as well be only) source of rabies. And of course the ones that have rabies are the ones more likely to crash into you or get lost in your house or be out during the day etc. Rabies is pretty terrifying because it's only curable right after you're bitten. By the time you have symptoms it's already 6 months too late, and it's fatal.

Do you live in Austin Texas by any chance? I have never seen as many bats anywhere as I do here. Hell, the city even has an annual Bat-Fest to celebrate them.

They are usually harmless (meaning they don't make contact) but if you even think you were touched you need to error on the side of caution. 7 painful shots directly in the gut...fun times.

I was at the game last night.. my girl spotted the bat up in the nosebleeds and it was flying around for a few minutes, finally decided to go courtside and stopped play.. all the players were scared of it.. bat finally flew back up to the nosebleeds and a few minutes later it came down AGAIN and thats when play stopped until Manu punked the bat.. the place went nuts afterwards and Manu practically got a standing ovation. Definitely one of the coolest things Ive ever seen. :bowdown:
