Actually, your selling Iverson short by saying.."He went after Kobe"...It isn't like he was some lower level player than Bryant, like a Joe Johnson not being afraid of the great Bean...Iverson was better than Kobe early on in their careers...Fact is, they've been in the same class for the longest...Im not a Iverson fan, but saying "he went after Kobe" kinda seems like a shocked type statement...

What I meant to say is that they fought each other on the court. He made Kobe work hard everytime. You dont see players doing that today, it seems like they all want his autograph or something. AI and Kobe were really exciting to see play each other because you knew it was on. Kobe would block AI, AI would cross him the next. Back and forth. Now, players are like"Can I have your shoes after the game?"

Well, you gotta look at it like this...There's a difference between now an then...Back when Iverson, T-Mac, VC was going at Kobe, Kobe was just like them, trying to become known as one of the greats...Now, Kobe legacy is already there, you have multiple past and present players who has talked about Kobe in top 5 GOAT talks...Kobe's a vet now, so ofcource there's going to be multiple guy's wanting his autograph...There's still guy's who go at Kobe though..Maybe ask for the sneaks after the game..:oldlol:

I would stay away, I was about to bite till I thought it through...

The Memphis Grizzlies played last night against Denver and lost in a very high scoring game (123-133). The Sacramento Kings are hungry for a win after dropping 3 out of 3 on their first road trip of the season. Make no mistake, the Grizz are 10x the team Sacramento is, I'm still not sold on them covering tonight though. Plus, this is AI's first game in a new system, who knows how he is feeling and how well he will be incorporated into the system. Plus, I have bad memories of AI's first game as a Piston last year where the Pistons got stomped by the Nets. I'll take a pass even though it looks too sweet to pass up.

Oh. I dont understand betting at all. Spreads and all that do not make sense to me.

It can be difficult to win because if you're doing point spreads, even if the team you pick wins you can still lose and vice versa. There is more than one way to gamble. You can bet on the money line or point spreads. With the money line, all you have to do is correctly pick the winner and you win cash. The only problem is heavily favored teams give you low returns for your money. Say the Lakers are playing the Kings, LA may be a -900 and Kings will be +700 or so. That means for every 900 dollars you bet on LA, you win 100 bucks. You risk a lot of money for lower gains. On the opposite side of the spectrum, if you take Sactown, for every 100 dollars you risk, you have a chance to win 700.

Point spreads are much tougher to get correct but the risk isn't as high. If you take the underdog (example +10), that means the team has to lose by less than 10 or win outright for you to win. If they get blown out and lose by more than 10 you lose. If you take the favorite, than they have to "cover the spread," which means they have to win by more than 10 or you lose. So the favorite can win by 5 points and you lose even though you picked them to win.

Wow, I really just explained all that out...

Okay, all I have ever done is the money line with the NFL. Just super bowls though. I made a killing. I made the pick of the century, Giants over New England. I just spent the last of that years winnings this summer. I havent bet since then though. Maybe I should get into this.

There is money to be earned, but there is also money to be lost. If you plan on playing, set your bankroll prior to playing and don't, under ANY circumstances, ever start digging into credit cards. Even if it's the biggest lock of the year, don't do it. Most people say don't bet over 5-10% of your bankroll on any particular game. It's a pretty good concept.

Maybe they were just trying to ease him into the lineup but you need every easy win you can get. For them to have a decent record, they have to win this game. But they didnt. If they learn from this, fine. But AI should have been playing because Carroll is a certified scrub and Conley has not been good since the last time he played with Oden. Look, I love Conley to death, but that layup and WTF was that shot he just took are unacceptable.

Good win for the Kings, but AI would have eaten Udrih alive given the chance. Conley just played into their hands. Literally. What was that layup where he was blocked on the fast break? SMH.

Please, Black holes my ass. Rudy, mos def. OJ, a little. Gasol? No he can pass really well. Zach? Dude was ballin. He gets in great position and expects the ball. I dont call that a black hole because he was great post position anyways. AI was passing the ball around a little, he did get a little too greedy, but the first half he was pretty nice. I agree you can't have both Gay and OJ on the same team, and i call Randolph a black hole because he puts up amazing stats yearly and his team never ever does well, what the stats don't show is his laziness on the other end of the court.

Zach is possibly the biggest black hole in the NBA, I was shocked when he joined the Noobs, i would rather develop the talented talls they have.

Back on topic, Gay needs* to go. Dude is a ball hog to the fullest. He can score, but what else? With his expiring contract, Memphis could get a sh*tload of things for him. If they could get a Dahntay Jones type with another player for bench depth, they would be much better off.

I agree about Gay. About Zach, he is really playing well, hustling. You cannot ask for any more from him and Gasol. They do have talented young big men on the bench, but we all know that these two are better, much better than what is sitting down. I think Randolph has changed this year and is really showing what he can do.

Hopefully AI will take Conley spot and start, Conley just isn't as good as AI plain and simple. This team has alot of talent, we just need to fix up some patches. We started off playing well both games this and the nuggets, then we let them into the game into the second quarter. We need to maintaint that intensity.

I am still optimstic about this team, haven't giving up hope, like most. We are 1-3 but can turn it around. Rudy Gay seemed to be playing for a contract now that he is a FA after this year seemed to be hitting the glass a little harder than usually, seem to much about getting his, hopefully that doesn't continue or we will be forced to trade him.

This is a disappointing loss, but it was Kevin Martin's day. That's something that Mayo needs to work on, he has trouble with guys that come off screens all day the Kevin Martin's, Rip Hamilton's, Ben Gordon's of the world. He excels against guys that have to just make a play w/o a screen like the Chauncey's, T-Mac's, Vince Carter's of the world. It really affects him offensively he doesn't have the energy to takeover a game down the stretch.

I would also like to see us give it down low to Gasol more, because the inside outside game with him and Mayo work's really well. At the end of the game we starting doing a lot of high pick and roll with Conley and Gay instead of feeding our beast.

We have the Warriors wed so hopefully we can get the W, before we have to play the Lakers friday and you know OJ Mayo is looking forward to that.

Back on topic, Gay needs* to go. Dude is a ball hog to the fullest. He can score, but what else? With his expiring contract, Memphis could get a sh*tload of things for him. If they could get a Dahntay Jones type with another player for bench depth, they would be much better off.

You can say that for several players on the Grizzlies :oldlol:

That is how I figure it as well. I believe they can move him for some nice players that do the little things on a roster. Defensive minded players, rebounders, perhaps a shot blocker...I dont know, but they sure do not need anymore offense on this team.

Rudy Gay seemed to be playing for a contract now that he is a FA after this year seemed to be hitting the glass a little harder than usually, seem to much about getting his, hopefully that doesn't continue or we will be forced to trade him.

.

I honestly believe that is simply his game. I havent seen much of anything else when Ive watched him play.

Not really. Gasol and Zach were grabbing boards and getting blocks. Gay had some rebounds tonight, but dude just doesnt pass. How the f*ck do you average 1.7 assists for your career? Seriously, how is that possible?

Yeah, I always hate when people call ZBo a blackhole. I was one of few Clipper fans who loved him here in LA and still want him on our team. Randolph has to be one of the best bigmen at faceup jumpers and is a beast on the offensive glass.

ESPECIALLY being as athletic and the position he plays? That stat is outrageous. He needs to learn to dish the ball!

Gay passed the ball to Mayo a total of 2 times this game and one was off an inbounds play. They need to learn how to work together fast. We can turn our season around if they would just play as one. Everybody else is on the same page. Can you imagine Pippen only passes Jordan the ball 2 times in a game. or Kobe passing it to Shaq twice. Drexler to the Dream etc etc. At least we are competiting unlike last year, but competiting isn't even we need some W's.

 I had to refresh the page, clean my screen, turn on the light in my room just to see if something else was wrong. 1.7? For four damn years of play? That is trifling. Its honestly not that hard to get an assist. SMH. 1.7.

Randolph has been to the playoffs twice i think? In his first 2 seasons in the NBA before he became a 20 point scorer. Coincidence? Maybe. But i can't understand why a rebuilding team with so many talented young bigs would go after Randolph.

Edit. Wow didn't know rudy averages 1.7, my mum would average at least 4 on that grizzlies team

Randolph isn't the problem. Our defense needs some work as a whole. We need to adjust, we just can't leave players on an island, last game it was Melo we didn't double him once, this game Martin didn't double him once. We have giving up 130 points, too many open J's in both games. We will turn it around though, Allen Iverson gives us the veteran leadership he just needs to get his 35 minutes a game. If he plays 35 and oj plays 35 also that will give conley 20-24 minutes on the court.

Looks like he is the last high volume low percentage scorer we will have in awhile. All the young guys like Tyreke, Rose, Durant, Beasley, Mayo, Lopez are all somewhat efficient.
