i just compiled an entire list, and then thought of a dozen more artists i had forgotten. this is, at least for most of us, a futile activity. better off listing albums.

its got just about every album i might include in that list, along with a bunch more i'm probably going to have to listen to now. although i can't say i'm a fan of blueprint clinching that numero uno. eh, whatever.

if we are going to rank artists for this decade, cunninlynguists are among the cream of the crop. i'm not sure any of their albums struck me as definitive, and therefore i have a lot of trouble narrowing down my favourite. i do know that each and every record they put out was consistently ****ing awesome without any exceptions. there aren't many artists as reliable as these guys.

two of my favorite rap albums of all time were released in early 2000. Ghostface's "supreme clientele" and Beanie Sigel's "The Truth".

From ghostface's album, some standout songs are "ONE", "Nutmeg", "Apollo Kids" and "Saturday Night".

From Beanie's album, "What ya life like", "Ride 4 my", and "Die" are awesome emotionally charged songs.
