In the music video for the song "whatever you like" TI talks about gassin up the jet for you whenever you like.
Does TI really have enough money for a private jet to be on call? How much does that even cost, to own a jet, have to pay for the fuel of a jet, and have a private pilot on call 24/7 to be able to fly you wherever you want? I know he must have millions from touring and album sales, but do rappers really make baller money? Also he spends so much money on **** like jewelry and his bigass house.
I have to ask, if TI is so damn rich how come he couldnt get a shorter sentence in jail?

Anyone who has a substantial income can get the credit to buy things like jets, mansions, jewels, etc.
The question is will he actually be able to afford the payments he has to make for the next 5-10 years, whilst also making payments on all the other stuff he's purchased on credit? Will he still be making the same amount of money over the next decade that he's currently making? Or will he go bankrupt like so many other celebrities?
Just because you buy something doesn't mean you can really afford it. So no I would not be surprised to know that he actually owns a private jet. But the better questions is whether or not it's comfortably in his budget. That i cannot speculate on, because I know almost nothing about the guy.

i'm sure these celebrities are smarter now since they've seen other famous people go broke. It was probably just for the purpose of the song. who's gonna call him on it?

i wanna know what rappers get paid for concerts, verses, movies and record sales. i know that drake said once he gets paid like $20,000 for a verse. not sure if that's true.

he was in ATL but the budget of that movie couldnt have been that big so his paycheck couldnt have been something crazy for that. Also he had a real small part in American Gangster. His albums sell alot but alot of artists say they dont make money from album sales the record companies do and they make all their money from touring. I wonder how much TI is getting or if he ever went on world tours he isnt that popular in Europe I know that.

Timbalake gets paid $450,000 to produce a song. This industry is huge. I am sure TI can pay for a jet. My freshman roommate's family had 2 jets and lived in a neighborhood with an airport in it... and they certainly weren't on TI's level of wealth. I've seen estimates of 30 million to 100 million with annual income from 16-25 million... no concrete numbers, but definitely enough to suggest he should have enough money for a jet.

not sure about that last post. didn't jay say in a song he 'grossed $38 mil' in like '06? that's with def jam, roc-a-wear, roc-a-fella and the nets.

:oldlol: at you taking things rappers say literally. But technically when it comes to private jets, you don't own the jet, you buy time; unless you're somebody like the Maloof's. It's similar to a timeshare arrangement, called fractional ownership.
But anyways, it's certainly possible. Even bum ass rappers like Gucci Mane command up to 100k per show.

Looks like he's down to 8 million... If he's financially smart, he might have a cessna... but he could have a jet... and he will probably default on it in a few years.

Meaning he'll inevitably make a gimmick album about being in prison...

Most of what you see in rap videos is RENTED for the video shoot, even the girls :lol Agencies provide models for the shoots and there are other companies who provide mansions, cars, jets etc...I am shooting 3 models at a 30 mill dollar mansion in Beverly Hills tomorrow. It rents out for thousands a day for music videos, commercials, TV shows. I know some rappers have shot there, just dont know who offhand but yea, very little of the stuff in those videos belong to the artist. Its entertainment, not reality.

You'd think that, but that's not the case. A person generally acknowledges the mistakes of others and then assumes that similar events won't befall them---it's human nature.

Jay-Z definitly makes the most. VH1 was doing some special about rich celebrities and Jay-Z made $38 million (as mentioned before) and the song is THe Prelude (great beat)

yeah but wouldn't these guys have a ton of renowned financial advisers making all their decisions on investments for them? I'm sure atleast some famous people do that.
