I only know of two: Shaquille O'Neal (Masters of Business Admin) and Kenyon Martin (Masters Criminal Law). Who else?

Kenyon Martin has a master's? Are you sure about that?

And Shaq got his degree from an online University.

I doubt KM has one, and Shaq's "degree" isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

I don't know but Chris Dudley graduated from some Ivy-League school. Brilliant guy. Wonder why he could never figure out a way to hit free throws though.

Martin has his bachelors, not masters.

Adonal Foyle has a masters in history I believe. That's all I know. I think Avery Johnson might have got his masters too.

Shaq doesn't have a real MBA. He paid some diploma farm website to be funny.

Bachelors. He was 21 when he was drafted(1998) and got his degree during the 2001 playoffs.

A lot of athletes go broke shortly after retiring, it's good to have a backup plan.

i doubt any of them have legitimate masters degrees that they actually worked for. The majority if not all of the masters degrees are probably honorary masters that are awarded from the university. Such as Lou Holt'z honorary ph.d in psychology or hunter S. thompson's honorary ph.d in journalism. That's why there is a segment on ESPN called Dr.Lou.

Speaking of him, The Oregonian reported that Dudley was considering entering the Republican primary for Oregon Governor in 2010. Considering the field of Republicans in this state and the fact that he was a Blazer, he'll likely be their candidate for office.

Kobe has a masters degree in infidelity.

Kinda off-topic, but did Kobe push through with studying and playing simultaneously? I remember watching the '98 All-Star game and when he was interviewed, they talked about him also going to school or something.

I doubt that. He was just jotting down his usual Jordan notes.
"Stick tongue out going to the rim. Check"
"Wag finger. Check"
"Fist pump. Check"
"Shoot fadeaways. Check"

I heard the same thing when I was in the Philippines for vacation while watching that game. Commentators were talking about how Kobe was still going college for studying even though he skipped it for the NBA.

Foyle is very well educated, he was a guest on CNN actually...you will be hearing a lot about Foyle in the future regarding politics and helping the less fortunate. Very smart guy.

Anybody know bout Etan Thomas? He might come off smart, or maybe he just gets stoned and writes political poetry

Yeah, because the type of NBA player who goes broke right after retiring is the type of person who gets a Master's degree from a university.

if the player is smart enough to think about this and get a degree for this reason, they shouldnt have the risk of being broke in the first place.

you have to be a complete ****ing moron to lose all the millions made from your playing career

It's more frequent for Billionaires to not have a college degree than for them to attend any single university. Usually, they are in school, but have an opportunity to start some sort of business and drop out.

The same way college players leave as soon as they have the opportunity to play in the NBA.

If your goal in education is to have it help you make money, why then would you stay in school when it becomes a barrier to this goal?

Do you have a source that says less than half of billionaires graduated college. I don't think that's true.

Don't remember his name but some scrub who had a 4.0GPA in college ended up not playing in the NBA anymore because he decided to go to medical school. Not masters, but still a graduate degree.

Maybe it was Pat Garrity (ND), Michael Doleac (Utah) or Mark Pope (UK).
