These dogs are scary. It's sad what they are bred for, but they are physically awesome. They stand 3 feet tall, weigh around 200 lbs, run 30 mph have a bite force of 700 lb, and apparently can pull a tractor. Pretty freaky. It's almost like having a pet tiger.

that dog is a beast. An honorable mention goes to Rhodesian Ridgebacks, they were built to hunt and fight lions.

they're bred for pulling carts up mountains. Did you see the vid of the dog pulling the tractor?
I dont think its sad, I mean the dog just wants to make its owner happy. Yeh it might be baad for the dogs back later in life, but playing basketball isnt exactly healthy for a mans knees either. These kurdish dogs are like the NBA players in dog land.

You're the one who implied they were smart by saying that "it only wants to make its owner happy".

I wonder if it was really pulling that tractor though. If you look in the tractor you can see the silhouette of someone sitting in the tractor seat.

He'll just be holding the steering wheel to make sure the tractor stays straight.

Those dogs are no where near as ferocious as Pitbulls or Dobermans.
The best dog is a Golden Retriever; best dog to have as a pet, IMO.
They are exceptionally smart, loving, cute, non-violent, harmless when you have little kids...of course that's speaking from my experience, every one will be biased toward their favorite dog because it's all subjective to our own personal experiences.
I don't think anyone on this thread really got what I meant when I said "it's sad what they're bred for." They aren't "working dogs." They are bred to kill. If you youtube Kurdish Kangal you will find video of them fighting each other and other animals to the death. There's a video of a puppy that cant be more than six weeks old fighting a rooster and then a goat. There's another video of a kangal basically eating a pit bull. They are bred for battle. That's what's sad. Kurds are f**ked up.
