The Flu Game's are horseshi*. Suede is cheap and the build quality is poor. JB fuc*ed up big time not making these leather.

I think that Jordans are so addictive because they are fresh and they are a comfortable hightop. They have a stiff sole and but they are somewhat cushy. They are the "boots" of the basketball sneaker world.

I know what you mean I walked into a Finish Line looking for these, and the pair I tried on at their store was ****ty, the seems between the red leather parts and the nubuck were loose, and the quality in general was mediocre. Went next door to a Footlocker, found them for 150.00 (Finish Line was charging 160.00), AND the quality of the shoe was flawless. Hate to say it but finish line had a dud and they were trying to sell it to me at a higher price

It was my intention to use the flu games as regular wear out shoes, but I put em on for 1 game 2nite at the gym, and those shoes got some bounce in them. I was wearing my 3s all night and was getting full fingers on the rim like usual, but i put on the Js and i was getting half my palm on the rim, taking off with less effort. Gonna be my ball shoes now, the traction was excellente!

True ... but in 2000 / 2001 they were at the very least putting out QUALITY retroes. Not stripped down, mis shapen, colored, textured knock offs of their own products for even higher prices then they were originally. I weep for people who waited in line to buy the Space Jams or any other current Jordan Brand retro ... they're all garbage.

you sound really angry and bitter. Space jams are pretty good quality imo, way better than the 11s from the countdown pack. And yeah the flu games kinda sucked esp compared to the cherry 12s they just released (white/red leather). The 7s pack also sucks, the recent raptor 7s they put in that pack are garbage, so yeah you're partially right about the weakness of quality as of late.

IDK what you're talking about though the 60+s are hot, and so are the 6 rings (6 rings are a combo of shoes too). To each his own I guess.

Personally, I like the shoes for what they are and to ball in. I'm not really a collector or much of a hypebeast

Exactly how I feel. I think that most of the people buying the new $H!T are all to young to remeber when he played. This is just nike taking advantage of what has become a cultural symbol. Quality and style left along time ago. Compare the OGs to some of these retros, they feel like they are made of cardboard.

no i don't think so. I've been watching MJ since I was 4 years old. grant i did not get OGs when I was a kid, the retros are no where near the quality, but compared to a lot of other ball shoes they blow em out of the water with looks and feel

jordans will always be the pinnacle of shoe collecting so for those who have problems with retro quality and price just let those willing to relive their past be. i will stay copping my pairs. the shoes are far from unwearable as you suggest. players wear them. they are performance proven. and seriously, unless you have a microscope and specification of what degrades the shoe from the original, your are just hating. i was copping these shoes when i was a kid and now that my feet are done growing, i can reach back to my childhood and represent these shoes with better respect.

Honestly some people on this forum talk out of their @$$ because shoes are being re-retroed and they either can't afford to cop, or have the ogs and don't feel as unique (which is okay, ogs are good stuff).

No not all the shoes make good ball shoes (I played a few games in my bred 6s and I can feel the court through my shoe because the sole is so thin and the insole is cardboard essentially) but the shoe is light is it not? Personally I prefer the 12s for ball, other than that my lebron 7s at the moment.

Honestly, I like the shoes for what they are. Yes they represent a basketball legend and icon, and each shoe was made for a specific season, colorways for different reasons, and things to remember. But at the end of the day if it looks good, I'm gonna wear it. If it doesn't I'm not. It's that simple. Flamers are getting all butt hurt aka Samurai Swoosh because we don't honor and recite MJs nuts before talking about how dope the shoe is and that we're gonna cop, stock, and rock.

Personally think they overdue it with all the wack colorways they put out with the retroes. I mean some of the colorways are dope but majority of em are wack... the 1's look played out with all those different colorways and variations. Seems they are running out of innovated ideas. They need to just let Tinker Hatfield design exclusively for them.

True, the whole countdown packs were horrible. The 21's from 2 years earlier didn't even feel the same and they were a shitty ball shoe to begin with. The huge amount of team jordans with a million variations based off of old shoes just shows they straight ran out of ideas.

Us older sneaker heads aren't hating on younger guys, we just remember a day when Jordan brand was the pinnacle and they are not now. Adidas puts out a much better product to ball in. I understand alot of you buy them just to wear, I have collected for years, but I haven't added any for several years now.

I would just like to see the consumer become more selective and Nike would respond by upping the quality, lower production numbers, and getting back to what made them #1.
