After all of the Greg Oden fallout, and spending time on the Blazers Edge blog, I thought of another "What if"

What if Sam Bowie didn't miss the 1981-82 and 1982-83 seasons at Kentucky due to injury?

A healthy Bowie entering the 1982 or 83 draft could have changed the history of the NBA.

There was talk of if Sam Bowie had NEVER gotten injured (obviously a giant what if/fantasy) Jordan wouldn't have 6 rings

What would have changed in your mind? Do you think he slips? Do you think Houston takes him instead of Hakeem?

Crock of shit.

More like if Bias didn't die, Lewis didn;t die, Bird and McHale didn;t get messed up MJ has no rings

What if Houston traded Sampson for the 2nd pick and Drexler?

Bowie is a massive What if in my mind. One of those "I'm so bummed out we missed out on a chance to see him have a healthy career guys." Joining Bias, Walton, Yao, Oden, Penny, and Petrovich, just to name a few.

What I see of the footage he looked like he was really special before his injuries.

In 82 he'd probably be drafted by the Clippers. Wasn't Walton still injured that season?

In 83 there's no way the Rockets would pick him over Sampson, so I'm guessing he'd go to the Pacers.

What if Patrick Ewing comes out early like he wanted too. Portland takes him instead of Bowie.

Yeah how crazy would it have been if Ewing came out that year too. Geez. The NBA today would be way different.
