Ref's are always giving LeBron 20 free throws a game.

So I did some research

Wade and Lebron basically avg the same amount of FT's

Lebron - 9.9

Wade - 9.2

while Wade has a largeer % of his total scoring being from the outside but is basically getting the same amount of FT's as Lebron

as of 2/03/2010

If you look at the inside/outside stats it shows why Lebron, Wade and Melo shoot so many FT's but it's interesting that Durant gets just as many FT's and they do while shooting so many jumpers.

That was the first thing I noticed. I think contact shows more on him because he's not as strong as those players? No clue.

Durant actually drives quite a lot and then he does that rip-through move at least once a game and gets the call almost every time.

anyone that watches Durant alot care to explain how he gets to the line so much? Does he pump fake alot to get defenders up in the air and bait them into fouls?

No he doesn't, he's crafty and sales fouls.

He gets at least 2-4 a game by doing the rip move and shoot whenever someone attempts to slap the ball. Also he gets fouled roughly 75% of the times he drives the lane. If he really wanted to he could probably average 15-16 free throws a game by just driving. The thing about Durant is that he's one of the top 5 free throw shooters in the game which really poses a problem for opposing teams.

Does he draw fouls like Kevin Martin from the Kings?

He uses that "through the hands of the defender" a la Tim Duncan. And he does it at the 3 point line quite a bit....
