I mean everywhere. Big cities, rural areas, even in backwoods hick places, you name it. We do indeed live in a capitalistic society, but it just seems like exclusion.
It's also interesting the way they take over a big name gas station like BP or Texaco They'll change the name but keep the colors and logos to trick people. Texaco turns into Turan's and BP turns into Best Petro.

i've always been told it's because the indians get tax breaks for a certain amount of years when they come here and when them years pass they sell or pass the property off to relatives coming over for the first time so they get the tax break. also they MIGHT use their own money which leaves them a bigger profit margin instead of paying interest...i never thought any of it made much sense..

If you hate it so much go work/buy a service station. I love it when people complain about immigrants making a better life for themselves.

Who's complaining? It was a simple question.

Well I think they are just smart at cornering a certain market. It isn't exclusionary as I'm sure others can go buy a gas station too. The profits aren't very great I think for the most part which is why a lot of the oil companies got out of owning them. The owners make most of their money off what they sale in the convenience stores.

Damn, son was touchy! This is a legit question Ive often wondered as well. Same with Arabs owning/working seven-11s. How did Indians get so into motels and gas stations and arabs so into convenience stores? Theres nothing wrong with it, its just interesting how consistent the pattern or stereotype of sorts holds true across the country.

i have a lot of arab clients with gas stations and c-stores. They all got family or close friends in the business so it just kinda spreads. Gas stations can be lucrative.

I've found it's actually been happening less and less, at least where I'm at.
Most corporate gas stations (your Shells, Gulfs, Mobils, etc) can afford to price their gas at lower prices due to the sheer volume they sell. I know family friends (I'm middle eastern :oldlol: ) that had to get out of the business because they couldn't stay competitive with their pricing, so nobody would go there.
If this is the case everywhere, hope to see it end quick. Can't stand $3 dutches from these corporate stations. :pimp:

Indians' potential....
Ceiling - Doctors, cardiologists, hospitalists, etc... There's about 50 or more MDs from India or of Indian descent at the hospital I work for.
Bottom-feeding - running gas stations
Say what you want, they eating good no matter where they're at.

I'm assuming like all things, it's a Jewish and/or Illuminati conspiracy :confusedshrug:

It's built into their culture and they're brought up around it. It's similar to the jews with investment banking at the turn of the 20th century, minus there being virtually noone with interest in delving into the gas station industry.

Yep I just encountered that at a truck stop/gas station/conenience store in Podunk, West Texas too. It's funny seeing all these Joe Bob truckers coming in and having to deal with these "Mexicans" but have a totally different accent than expected  . And they charge like a dollar more per gallon just because they're out in the boonies

Whenever I stop at a gas station out in the middle of nowhere, I wonder if the employees live out there.
And yes, they are usually Arabs.

its true. then again why do so many koreans own liquor stores and dry cleaners?
indians also own a lot of 7 elevens. call it a stereotype, but its funny if anyone denies any of this isn't generally true.
they all work hard to have what they have tho. a lot of leeches out there.

there's much more important oil tycoons you could be rolling your eyes at who aren't "mexican" .
most asian-indian immigrants i know (i'm 1st generation born in good 'ol USA - so speaking from family experience here, including my own parents) are genuinely kind hearted people who work hard , ignore outside (societal) distractions and save up money in order to purchase a small business . no dealing with any higher ups or lower downs - its on you (and your fams) shoulders . most people prefer their own brand - not affiliated with any franchise (thats why you get the silly bootleg names) , because as a franchisee you have to cough up a % of your profits and more $$ for using their name etc .
i actually think you guys got it mixed up tho because middle eastern people usually **** with gas stations , while indians run motels and liquor stores .
my cousin runs a liquor store called "Quick Stop Liquor" down here in Rialto , CA and everytime i go there its like a scene from the movie Clerks , except a little more hood . the liquor store environment can be pretty ****en entertaining .
dont forget your yoga pants guys
