After how bad this last one was, I doubt that there will be one next year unless LeBron does it.

of course
Nate, Rose, Wall, Mr.720, TWill and Lebron should be in it.

The event is a bit better with stars in it. They don't even have to be superstars. Those guys are usually more creative than your average player.
I honestly think a healthy Vince or Kobe even now could have competed well in that contest. That's pretty sad.

NBA has to try to do something about it. Either trying to lure big stars to participate or just putting the contest on hiatus for 2-3 years.

6 or 8 dunkers and 3 rounds would be a good start, then maybe get some real stars also

Hopefully it will be better than this one. It seems they could have been a bit more inventive. Plus Lebron backing out of his promise to compete last year is pretty lame.

Personally, I think the judges are idiots when rating dunks.

If you remember his HS dunk contest performance then you will recall that James doesn't put in any creativity whatsoever. He can probably do any dunk you've ever seen, but doesn't come up with anything new. All he did was reenact Carter's NBA Dunk Contest performance. And now that he's in the NBA he has yet to participate, even after making that big scene and announcement last year. He just doesn't care. Why put all this pressure on him to perform when he doesn't care? Accept his apathy and move on.

Trust me, he'd get up if they let him show off. He does it at all the time at charity games.

If Vince Carter were in the 2010 contest, he would have won it. His knees can't be THAT worn down as he is only 32. Hops like that don't just go away. Probably would have had problems with his shoulder, though.

DWade I doubt can do anything amazing.
Needs to be Lebron, Terrence Williams, they needa clone Shannon Brown this time with a brain though, and Andre Iguodala.

^they're too good to enter dunk contests. don't wanna break a sweat or a fingernail.
Vince Carter at 40 years old would've beaten these guys tonight. all he has to do is do the same dunks he did back in 2000.

lol VC at age 40 isn't doing what he did back in 2000....
You can't let TFB in because it wouldn't be fair. They have AT LEAST 4-5 guys that would ruin anything we have seen in the last 6-7 years...probably longer actually. No one in the NBA would win.

^ see with some dunks like that, what would LeBron have to worry about in tonight's super lame dunk contest. honestly?

Damn LeBron is truly blessed. He is too big to be doing those kind of dunks so effortlessly. It looks wayyyyy too easy for him.
BTW....how come I never see him actually shoot and practice? lol

those guys are an incredible bunch. problem is, no really knows who they are(unless you watched them online), i haven't seen any of they're basketball game outside of dunking. They're probably no better than some above average high school players skillwise.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lebron shows up next year, since Nate is probably done with dunk contests. There's no need for Nate next year. He has three wins. That's good enough and what dunk does he have for us? He's just a short guy who can dunk. The contestants this year made Nate look pretty good though.

The contestants this year made Reggie Miller look like a good dunker in his prime.

Honestly ... I hope they kill All Star Weekend all together, and just make it All Star Sunday. And just play the game.
