View Full Version : Stuckey Has Seizure!

04mzwach

Stuckey had a seizure while around the bench. Hopefully, he is okay. Stuckey has no conditions leading to this seizure. It happened during a game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers at the end of the 3rd quarter. He was playing well, seemed happy and it's just such an unfortunate incident.

He was walking over to the bench when I guess he was standing up and seeked the medical staff in distress. It then cut to a couple moments later with him sitting on the bench with a medical trainer in front of him. It then in another cut scene shows one of the medical staff clutching him as he was having the seizure and shaking.

They then layed him on his back and the teammates and medical staff were both surrounding him.

vitals are good now, but hopefully he doesn't have epilepsy or anything. most of the time it's diagnosed early, but there is late onsets sometimes.

EDIT: on the vid, it doesn't seem like an epileptic seizure. i'm not even going to pretend to be a doctor, but my good friend has epilepsy and they are much more violent than that. a trainer wouldn't just be able to hold him.

regardless, best of luck

Tito Beasley

Obviously the medical people know what they're talking about, but that didn't really look like any seizure I've ever seen.

Usually people with seizures literally drop right to the ground in an instant and start convulsing violently.

The video showed Stuckey sitting in the chair slumped over an assistants shoulder and convulsing a little bit, and then eventually they laid him on the ground. I've seen I think three seizures in my life and heard first hand accounts of a few others, and in every case they were much more severe than what appeared to take place on the video.

Again I'm not saying I have any idea what happened, just throwing a perspective out there.

Coming from a person with Epilepsy, Seizures really arent serious unless they become a chronic issue (multiple times a day....). Im not sure how Stuckey is going to feel but after i get a seizure i lose all memory from a couple days before and a couple days after the seizure

There are different types of seizures. The kind were you start convulsing violently are called Grand Mal (i get those kind). I cant remember what the other kinds are called but some of them just make a person faint without convulsions. Another thing is that a lot of people who get seizures can get something called an "aura" which is basically some completely random symptom before the seizure happens (mouth tastes like metal, cant talk, random stuff like that)

First thing I thought was cocaine making him pass out, but that seems a lot like a concussion symptom... but he didn't get hit. Maybe it was something that happened before...

I didn't see it, I was out then I came in and they were during the 12 minute delay and I was like oshi.

Good thing he's still alive and basically alright. Shoot he's got millions, if it's that serious maybe he should just get out.

Whether it was a seizure or not... being fine one second and passing out the next is NOT NORMAL. I hope he takes this very seriously and gets thoroughly checked out. If I'm him, I'm not leaving the hospital without knowing EXACTLY what happened and why.

First thing I thought of too, it's the only scenario where I've seen somebody have a seizure.
