"Deputy Dinkheller was shot and killed after pulling over a man on a rural road about 6 miles north of Dublin, Georgia. During the traffic stop he called in for backup. Before the backup arrived he was shot by the man with a rifle. He was able to return fire, striking the suspect in the stomach. The suspect was found during a search the next morning and taken into custody. The entire incident was videotaped by a camera in Deputy Dinkheller

Yeah I understand there are a lot of people like that, but being a cop you have to be a take action kind of guy. I understand now why cops go through such training to be able to make the decision to use deadly force. It just pisses me off so much when someone being taken advantage of or threatend avoids the confrontation. This cop really tried too hard to calm the situation down when it was clear his life was in danger.

It's amazing how war can just totally change a person. The post traumatic stress made that vet crazy. I feel so bad for that cop though. It was probably such a shock moment for him. He probably was thinking like this is not really happening.

And whites probably have a higher percentage of longer-tenured officers who are no longer patrolling. Patrolling is for the younger officers which are increasingly Latino, I guarantee at least 50% of patrolling officers are hispanic.

Called it! They stopped using the M1 Carbine in the Korean War because it had difficulty penetrating the N.Koreans thick winter clothing, so I knew it couldn't penetrate the cop's body armor with effectiveness and it probably had to be a headshot or a bleed out that killed this poor officer.

The LAPD is one of the few examples I could see where there might be more Hispanics than whites. You have to remember the LAPD has a policy to hire on skin color first. It has to be one of the least discriminating and highest acceptance rate departments in the nation. At one point I believe its acceptance rate was 6% which is insane. They are also rife with corruption. Very few well qualified people pursuing a criminal justice career will apply with the LAPD, and if they do, they just use them as a stepping stone to a better LEO job.
