Both my parents were born in Surinam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suriname), which is really a melting pot.

My dad is black-ish. kinda lighskinned, think vince carter :lol afro and all. Our ancestors were slaves, but we mixed with indians and whites. so he's not that dark as some of our relatives.

My mom's mom dad was part Russian part Jap, with some chinese too (I still dont get that, but whatever, he looked like jap).. he moved to Surinam (out of all places) after WWII. My grandma is from surinam so she was part black but still pretty light skinned.

Surinam was a colony of Holland till 1975. My parents moved to Holland and I was born here. Don't really feel Dutch at all though.
