I can't believe this guy is still in the league.

Does he have incriminating photos of people, or is he just that "savvy" and full of that veteran "knowledge" and wherewithal?

Been around since 1997, somehow. Been a hell of a (mustache) ride.

:lol Every time I hear his name, I keep thinking he's coaching. Then I see him in his jersey and scratch my head.

I dont know how he stays in the league, but whatever he does isnt legal.

so true, hes not even average at anything except defense. Coaches probably keep him around cus he helps them and stuff.

I think Kevin Ollie is the only player in NBA who doesn't have a highlight video on youtube.

I loved him on the Sixers championship run team.

That team was so awesome, defensive role players, Mutombo and AI. :pimp:

I'm pretty sure he got waived a couple of weeks ago. Don't quote me on it though. :confusedshrug:

Kevin Ollie has respect around the league. Class act, respectable and true professional in how he carries himself. That goes a long way for teams who dont mind adding a guy to the end of thier bench. He gives you 110% everyday in practice, is knowledgable about the game and knows he wont see much if any time. Pretty sure he's talked to teams and left an impression. Wouldnt be shocked to hear teams give him kudos if another team interested in signing him called. That probably has happened where now? Ollie just has a good rep.

He's also an intelligent individual. I'll see if i can find the article where they shed light on his off the court stuff. Heck if you're a GM and you want to fill your roster out. Why not give this guy the vet minimum instead of some lame?

Future head coach in the making, it sounds like it.

I barely remember him for the Cavs, but with you being a Sixers fan, where he was perhaps at his best, he was a key presence for them. Every team needs those veteran glue guys, the guys who give 110 percent and show the young guys the correct way, through example.

Still, it seems like other "veteran presence" guys haven't lasted as long as Ollie, so I was somewhat surprised to see him still around, but you pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Much respect. People who try to discredit him will say he won it with Calhoun's players.

But he did a great coaching job, made a gutsy coaching decision going small against Florida :applause:

Hope he continues to win, class guy that coaches with swag.

If you follow OKC close enough you'll know he's one of the players that really started their culture and made them the team they are today. Truly one of the great lockerroom guys around, and definitely a great leader/coach.

Yup, Durant has praised Ollie for changing the culture in OKC and teaching everyone how to be a true pro.
