Why would anyone pay these mamalooks a couple hundred dollars for half-assed uneven sh*t? I have this friend from high school who apparently makes bank doing amateur tattoos, he just put this new one up:

http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs109.snc3/15724_109955309022176_100000231230394_179567_37019 25_n.jpg

Really? Are you that f*cking stupid? This roidhead douche-bag is gonna have this on his chest forever. Or until he takes a first grade english class and realizes "too" is spelled wrong. And the kid I know is just as dumb, with even less artistic ability.

http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs097.snc3/16436_102576469760060_100000231230394_67765_729539 1_n.jpg

:oldlol: Look how unsymmetrical everything is.

Good tattoo artists charge a ton for good reason.

Yeah if I'm ever getting a tatoo I'll be dishing out the money necessary to have it done right. Luckily my brothers best friend owns a shop. He'll give me a discount whenever I want to get one.

our generation is so going to be mocked in about 10 years when this shit isn't fashionable before and our lives have changed so much that the pointlessness of tattoos become even more blindingly obvious.

This generation is going to be like the 80's pt 2, when it was going on no one though any of the stupid shit that was out was weird, but 20 years from now everyone will just look back and laugh.

That's the same with every generation. You think our parents who were our age during the hippie era look back at bellbottoms, tie die shirts, drug culture, etc. and think "Wow we were pretty cool." No.

Its called growing up. Everyone thinks what they did as a teenager/20something is silly/ 20 years down the road.

I know a samoan guy who does traditional tattoos (with the carved tusk and hammer). I'd get one from him and hes an amateur.

Those are some hilariously bad 'toos though.

That's what I'm saying. I just can't fathom the thought of letting an amateur tat me up. Look how shitty those are! LOOK. I laugh and shake my head in disbelief.

I've brought up Samoan tattoo's once or twice on here. I'd love to get one, but I'm not Samoan, so what's the point? :oldlol: But those guys are the real deal. Skills passed on from generation to generation.

Every tatoo artist has to start somewhere, right?

Don't like tats though. Don't have one, never will. GF doesn't have any tats either, thank god.

And I live in tatoo central. We have a tatoo parlor on every block in HB.

I think tats look cool sometimes, even on older people...and even on females...but it is rare, it takes a rare type of person to pull it off right...

and yeah, the fad is dieing...I can remember when I used to think Iverson looked cool as f*ck all tatted down, and even though I think he can pull it off better than anyone else in the NBA, it no longer looks that cool to me...

http://www.quadratix.org/wp-content/gallery/tats/lebron-james-tattoo-001-back-chosen-one-small.jpg

^^^ speaking of tats when I saw that on Bron I lost a little respect for him...

and I don't even care about athletes being "humble"...

Ali, Deion, ect would flaunt their shit and claim to be the greatest while dancing...but they wouldn't ever tattoo the shit across their back...cause they know they are just having fun...

could you imagine if MJ had some shit like that..."GOAT" across his back or something...lol

Ali and Deon have titles....LeBron hasn't won one yet and already has this.
I like Bron's game but I too lost respect for him with this one...and the dumb dances he does when a game is going on. And the snub last year when the Magic beat him.

yeah but they were taboo in the past...today it is almost to the point that it is taboo not to have one...

in the 80s there were people that were sleeved out, like Tommy Lee and all of Motely Crue...but it was so rare back then...today it is just everywhere

Tommy lee is one of the types that can pull it off right...

he is lucky that he got into the shit at the perfect time...

AND it is very obvious that even 20 years later, he doesn't regret his tats because he still shows them off ever chance he gets to this day...

Man I love tats. Some, like the ones I'm getting and have gotten can't really be considered 'dated' cuz they're not really 'trendy'. When I'm finished, I can take them round with me till I decompose. That is unless I, God forbid, lose a limb. I agree though that MOST I see are not well thought out or just borderline impulsive with nothing to them.

Still, I'm not gunna hate. Who am I, (or you) to tell someone what to do with their largest organ? People destroy their liver and kidneys from drinking too much but drinking isn't as taboo as getting inked.

I don't think being a raging alcoholic to the point where you damage internal organs permanently is anything close to normally accepted. So, yes, what you described is considered "taboo".
