View Full Version : if cavs lose due to lebrons elbow, will he resign out of guilt?

the cavs look very mediocre last night and if 'brons teamates are gonna play like marginal players, the cavs simply wont get out of the eastern conference. Will lebron feel bad about not being at his best, and resign out of guilt? or will that not enter into his equation?

I hate these types of threads, but I have to comment on it.

Cavs are not losing due to LeBron's elbow. His elbow looks absolutely fine; people quickly forget how LeBron went up for huge MONSTER blocks with his hurt right elbow (he actually squatted the ball once completely OUT OF THE SKY with his usual beast block). LeBron shoots free-throws with his normal hand (against the Bulls, they had a BIG lead with no time left for Bulls to come back and win. only then did LeBron shoot with his left hand due to 'hurt' right elbow). If they lose the series, it will NOT be due to LeBron or his elbow. It will be due to LeBron's teammates and the Celtics playing very good almost out of their minds. Period.

Somebody needs to take my post and sticky it so people stop using LeBron's elbow as an excuse if the Cavs end up losing or even if they end up winning, people will say "OH LeBron was real badly hurt, but he willed his team to victory just like Michael Jordan with the 103 degree fever/flu and entire body hurting and extreme dehydration."

Lets not get carried away here, fellows.

He can do that just fine, it's not like he can't move his arm.

Thing is, he can move it all he wants, it just hurts to do so. One explosive play going up for a block or a dunk he will do it through the pain.

Pain like this is obviously going to make him more hesitant to shoot though, and will of course effect his shot as well.

Cav's won't loss the series because of Lebron's injuried elbow ,

if they loss it's because he just had a new tatoo put on the elbow.

ANYONE KNOW WHAT IT SAYS ?

**** his elbow. I am never critical of LeBron, so when I say this I think it holds a lot of weight compared to some hater. LeBron is being a big puss/y bitc.h in this series, the whole entire team is. I don't think the Cavs deserve to win this series the way they are playing. Sure they won game one, I don't care about that. I would have been okay with the Cavs losing the game if they even looked like they cared about basketball. LeBron will never be any thing like Mike, he will never even reach Kobes level because he will never win a championship as the best player, he can't he just doesn't have the love for the game and the hate of losing that those two players do/did. I hope LeBron goes to another team it would be best for the Cavs, that way we can rebuild the right way and draft guys who actually care about playing basketball.

It's a bone bruise. He is not going to "mess it up", or cause actual physical damage by doing something like that. It just hurts, but there is nothing really structurally wrong with it.

I'm not that mad at LeBron, but the elbow is a BS excuse. I admit I was saying that it was obviously hurting in the elbow thread earlier, but that is lame to me. I don't believe that it can hurt that badly, FFS Ben Wallace broke his leg last year and continued to play the rest of the half. I saw no effort last night from any players other than JJ HIckson. Mo is a shooter, that is his job. He was 1-9 or something pathetic like that, he allowed Rondo to drive at will, if Mo is not producing points he is lterally useless as a basketball player. Shaq WTF was he doing out there, I have no idea personally. It is not the amount of points we lost by, I couldn't care less about a single loss, but championship teams look like they enjoy basketball when they are playing it, the Cavs did not.

Imagine if LeBron played for the Knicks, p*ssy-footing it the way he's doing now.

He'd get ROASTED!!!

Cavs media coddles him. Hence why he doesn't need to go to that team. If he can't win here, he won't win there. Has nothing to do with teammates. LeBron is a sucka. An very arrogant one at that.

I have no problems with your comments if you ever injuried or bruised your elbow. Did you ?

I have , and it's not only a numbing effect it is painful when you lift objects etc ... It took about 3 months for my arm to feel 100% correct.
IMO I don't think its a bruise , I think he has a slight fracture , and the Cav's are not letting on he has an injury.
The only question I have is why aren't the rest of the Cav's stepping up and playing like men ? They look like little leaguers waiting for some kind of rescue. :oldlol:

If anyone has noticed KG is playing pretty good , and he looks committed.
(He's either letting it all hang out, or maybe he is over the knee injury and back to his old self) Cav's better get JJ or Andy on him , otherwise he could be the difference in this series.

I think "guilt" is the only reason he will come back. The entire state of Ohio is trying to shame him into resigning, playing the whole "we don't know what we will do without Lebron" angle with puppy dog eyes. It's pathetic but sadly it will probably work because Lebron doesn't have it in him to become a villain in his home state.

and i think it is serious because he said : i'm fine, it doesn't hurt.
no way the cavs will release news like this in playoffs time
if it wasn't serious injury he wud say so and nothing will happen
but serious injuries mean
1- less playing time and games
2- player/team/nba/media will lose some $
3- questionable future (is he going to be the same Lebron after sergery)
4- psychological effects
5- less cameras and attention :violin:

No, what's hilarious is Kobe fans who bring up his injuries every 2 seconds, yet can't stand it when somebody besides their boy is hurt too. I can understand the haters' anger though. LeBron's ridiculous consistency has deprived the haters of ever having a legitimate reason to hate on him to begin with(they still do any way, must protect Kobe after all), but now that LeBron finally did have an off night, haters still can't celebrate like Christmas...because clearly something is not right with LeBron. And deep down, they know it. LeBron didn't magically get worse overnight after hurting himself in Game 4 of the previous series. He's hurt.

I think lebron is hurting, but I think it is something he can get through. I had a weird elbow injury when I was in the 9th grade and I still don't know exactly what was wrong. The doctors couldn't find anything wrong, but I would get a sharp pain in my elbow and my whole lower part of my arm would get numb. It would just happen out of the blue after I would shoot the ball. It happened after I hit my funny bone on the edge of a table hella hard. I played with the injury all throughout high school, but I was never the same. And to this day I have no idea what it was. Maybe is was nerve damage.

But Lebron is a great player who just happened to have a bad game. The cavs have to play better, but it isn't like this is the 1st team to split the 1st 2 games at home. Even the lakers split against houston and denver last year. The cavs may lose this series but splitting at home is no reason to panic. It happens all the time every single year. The cavs just have to play better, harder and make the right adjustments.

What did the Cavs accomplish before James, and what makes you think they can do more after James? Better be careful what you wish for. We're talking about a once in a generation player, the best perimeter player since the Bull Jordan. It's not his fault the media won't shut up about the elbow. But even if it was, Cavs need to keep thisd guy desperately no matter what. If he walks they're going to suck and quickly, Jamison is not going to carry that bunch anywhere.

The part that Shocked me yesterday was when the Celts Extended the Lead in the 3rd qtr he didn't try to attack and regain some Control of game..He sat by an passively watched as the lead grew to 25..that is not the Lebron I know and that was the alarming part. 2006 was his 1st time in the playoffs. At one point, people thought the Pistons would win over 70 games. They had been to the Finals the two previous years. And yet the Cavs were one rebound away from upsetting them in 6 games. How is that a choke ?

In 2008 the Cavs gave the Celtics their toughest series, by far. And no one expected them to win the series, or even take them to 7 games. How is that a choke ?

And are you seriously blaming LeBron for the ECF fiasco last year ? Come on. :violin:

seriously, you guys. stop hating here. it's just like in kindergarten!
just focus on the facts, not what the media is trying to sell you and watch some ****ing games!
if you did so, you'd have seen lebron playin very poorly in game 2 despite havin ok-numbers. he played passiv, especally in the 3rd quater were his team desperetly needed a run to compete. but he didn't deliver that time. so we have to wait to see if this was a one time outing from lebron or if he will continue his poor play (by his standarts). if he does continue playin weak, i actually could think of him beeing injured and distracted. think about it, lebron never really got injured and he isnt used to. and it's sure that some people are better fit playing injured than others, and if lebrons really injured he has to find a way to be effective as well or the cavs season is over. but if he has a bounce-back game in game 3 i think he had just an off-night. we have to wait how the series plays out, but no ****ing way the cavs can demloish the cavs like in game 2 if lebron is playing his normal level of basketball like 30-8-8.
and to the kobe-lebron discussion. both are great players and everybody who hates on some of them is in lebrons case because the media is absolutly ridicoulous on him. but thats not his fault. and in kobes case they hate because of his history as a ballhog or so, but he has proved to be a winner, and this is an lebron-thread, so let kobe out of here. its kind of boring how kobe gets mentioned every time you say something about lebron. there is no connection between them, just both great players.
and if kobe gets a ring and lebron does not, you just have to say the cavs need bigger production from their star than la does. sure, lebron has a great supporting cast, but the difference is pau gasol. he is always productive and good for 20-12 every game, nobody in lebrons supporting cast has that consistensy. and thats the problem, most of the time you need a second star to win a title, if lebron does without, that would speak truely of his greatness, but we're not that far right now.

Wait a minute.

You say Kobe > LeBron because Kobe has 4 rings.

Russell has 11 rings. But Kobe > Russell ?

Kareem, Shaq, Duncan

I hope you're not a Laker fan. And since Magic is not on that stupid list of yours, that also means Magic > Kareem. Wow. And Magic > Bird.

Kareem is a GOAT candidate. Kobe is not. Kareem was the best high school player of all time AND the best college player of all time. And he's the all-time NBA scoring leader ...

And it's really stupid to think that Kobe was better than an all-time great big man. Big men impact the game on both ends of the floor. A perimeter player can't do that. Big men play a vital role in both defense and rebounding, and those two things are the most important things in this game. They control the whole game. If you can keep the opposition from scoring and if you constantly deny them second opportunities, it's gonna be extremely tough for them to win the game.

And when you add the fact that they were either unstoppable on offense (like Shaq or Kareem) or pretty damn good (like Duncan), you see it's really stupid to think that a guy like Kobe has a greater impact. And besides, guys like Kareem, Shaq or Duncan demanded a double team because they would own you in single coverage every single time. And since they were very good passers, it made the game so much easier for the rest of the team. Kobe, as great as he is offensively, does not impact the game as much as those guys.

Bird.

Is that just because he's white and not athletic ?

He can do that just fine, it's not like he can't move his arm.

Thing is, he can move it all he wants, it just hurts to do so. One explosive play going up for a block or a dunk he will do it through the pain.

Pain like this is obviously going to make him more hesitant to shoot though, and will of course effect his shot as well.

Here we go Cavaliers lose a game to Boston and cavs fans become insecure. Slowly starting to blame the elbow. His elbow is fine so stfu and take your Le-travel with u
If they lose it will be just like last year against the magic. You were all bragging all season long aobut how u are gonna win 100% then suddently it didn't look 100% for u and started blaming the supporting cast.

Another stupid troll right here.

At least if u troll try to do it right.

The Lakers are much more stacked than the Magic lol.

They have Kobe, 2 big men in Pau Gasol and Bynum each one of them able to make it a 25/10 night, they have the defensive player of the year Ron Artest, the top notch rebounder as a sixth man in Lamar odom.

And what do the magic have? Howard and Vince ? that's about it. Rashard who hits some 3's from time to time. And ofc they have Nelson who has stepped up but we are talking about stacked teams here.

Stupid canadian kiddo go play with your friend
